  1. I'm a big fan of the Cassaday version of the AXM costume but I hate Bianchi's redesign. I'd definitely be up for a redo of the entire AXM team. When looking at my display those really seem lacking now. Also wouldn't mind 'mates of Armor, Danger, Ord, and Agent Brand.

  2. I personally have had to mishmash different combinations of the FF just to make them look more natural compared to the other modern minimates. Hence, I feel a FF re-make is way overdue!

    Same here. There are parts from at least 3 other 'mates swapped onto the Fantastic Four I have on display. Updated hair, faces, and a little more detail would be a big improvement. I'd also really like to see how they'd tackle a new Thing. The Human Torch is just about perfect though.

  4. If they moved the gold sections around a little I wouldn't dislike it, but I'll never like it as much as Extremis. This armor doesn't seem very classic, more like something that will be around for 6 issues. It definitely makes me look forward to the next redesign.

  5. It bothers me hearing a scalper talk about surfing the fan sites to find out what to buy. It's obvious, but frustrating that a forum for enjoying toys is used against collectors.

    How much can a full-time scalper actually make? I make a decent wage at my job, nothing spectacular, but I don't see how the math works out for scalping to be worthwhile. If a trip gets you 5 GI Joes that you can sell for $10 above retail, it's still only $50. Spread that out over a whole day and it's just not much money.

  6. I did. When they came out. At the time he was the best thing to come through the Spider-titles since the Hobgoblin stories ended. The Larson issues were good too. Didn't start getting lame until Bagely. By that point Michiline was running low on ideas. Remember "the Sidekick's Revenge"?

    Not to pick a fight, but "The Sidekick's Revenge" was written by Al Milgrom, and felt like he wrote it as an afterthought. Michelline was losing momentum with his stories at that point, but he doesn't deserve to take blame for that story.

    Not to defend the quality of the story, but I loved that story arc as a kid. Having Spider-Man, Moon Knight, Darkhawk, Nova, Night Thrasher, and the Punisher seemed pretty great at the time. I just might feel like my Minimate collection is complete when I can recreate the cover to ASM #358.

  7. While I enjoy a good minimate debate, I'm sure DST has thought this through. There is a reason for the character slots they have chosen. If 90's Jean doesn't make the wave, then she will somewhere soon. They wouldn't release 90's Storm, 90's Rogue, 90's Psylocke, 90's Gambit, 90's Beast, & 90's Cyclops without ever doing a 90's Jean.

    You're probably right, she'll be one per case in a TRU wave.

  8. Brown Wolverine is one of my very favorite Marvel costumes, and though we already have a brown Wolverine, as you all know, it could use an update. So, personally, I will be very pleased if we get a brown Wolverine in this wave, as he will likely replace my other brown version on my main Minimate display. However, I will also be happy with Colossus or whomever, since brown Wolvie update is bound to show up eventually, anyway.

    I agree with this completely. I think it's his best costume and it fits with this wave, so might as well get it out of the way. Not that I'd object to another member of the 90's team showing up.

  9. Hey I thought Xevoz was a great line. And a line of articulated mix 'n match figs that fit Xevoz joints called Zovex would be cool. :P But I am probably alone in this.

    I liked Xevoz quite a bit myself. Unfortunately I only started picking them up about two minutes before the line died.

    I don't watch much HBO, but I'd definitely be up for more WW2 and cowboy minimates.

  10. Yet another update.

    Top 10:

    * Thunderstrike

    * Major Victory

    * Beta Ray Bill

    * Annihilus

    * Iron Fist (New Costume)

    * Iron Fist (Orson Randall)

    * Darkhawk

    * Drax the Destroyer (Modern)

    * Star-Lord

    * Black Knight

  11. After reading the TRU Secret Wars boxset this is absolute joy. I hope the Madrox comes with a spin around head so we can have different expressions.

    I'm hoping for a reversible head as well. While they're at it they should work on the one they have, because as was mentioned, it looks a little off. Still, one of my most wanted characters, so I can't really complain.

    Lockheed will be the best minimate accessory ever.

  12. The problem with making Star Wars Minimates is that they would be way too sweet. It's right up there with getting 15 Waves of DC Minis.. It's just too right.. so it can't happen.

    On the bright side I've heard good buzz on the possibility of a Thelma & Louise box set.

    B)

    I think you're exactly right. Star Wars is the only license that could compete with Marvel for sales and longevity. It would probably make me go broke, but not nearly as fast as if I started buying Kubricks.
