Well that's interesting.

I wonder what’s up with the licensing for AOS and the rest of the network shows (Ageng Carter, Inhumans). Besides Pops for AOS, no toy company has really touched any of these at all. Unfortunate too, cause I’d love most of em as Legends.
I suspect it's just an issue of too much cost for the anticipated benefit. It would might make sense to offer a larger license like the 10 years of MCU thing but it's probably too late for that to matter.

If 77 ends up being Avengers that's a big gap in LCS comic waves.
-
Hellboy is orderable on Amazon with a shipping date TBD. If you have Prime it's probably worth a shot.
-
Well, gosh, it would be hard for AoS to compete with the lameness of Gotham minimates.
I think there is a boxset or assortment that could do okay, especially if it included Coulson with two heads and the Destroyer gun, but I'm also sure there's no way DST will ever try it.

I can see your pics just fine.

Soooo unless I missed it nothing new was really said at NYCC. Should we get the prayer circle together?
Kind of feels that way doesn't it? Maybe we'll get some Bruce Lee 'mates?
-
Reading the press release I think we'll see Gallery statues, a Select figure or two, and some vinimates before they get to minimates. I wonder if they'd do a boxset of just Lee?
-
Funko's doing that with other licenses too. And weird as they are I can totally see myself buying some of those.
Also, ML is getting Night Thrasher. Very envious.

Oh, I don’t speak ill of Kallark. Funkguerrilla’s head said that we’d be getting a Dark Phoenix wave, which I’d be in favor of if it means we get the Gladiator. Heck, I’d even take a Melvin Potter Gladiator.
Ah, that's what I get for reading too fast. Just looking out for the guy, his confidence is so fragile. Now you've got me thinking about my most wanted pack: Gladiator/Gladiator.
Whatever the theme ends up being I hope the wave is out well before the current (as of today anyway) June 7th release date for Dark Phoenix.

Don't speak ill of Kallark.
It might be hard to tie into a movie that keeps getting delayed.
-
I suppose that's assuming it doesn't end up like Pacific Rim 2.
-
I liked the show well enough but I don't really care for the art style so I'll be curious to see how the minimates turn out.
-
I could probably handle no lasso for Wonder Woman but no mace for Hawkgirl is unforgivable.
-
It's too bad the Xenos were so hard to find, I suspect many collectors would have liked to get multiple.
-
I went to a Walgreens that had the endcap but no new stock of any kind on it.
-
I wonder what's left from the entire franchise that could draw enough interest for a wave? Besides a clean Bishop there's not much I'd be interested in outside of Kenner Aliens, but those would take new tooling that I don't see DST investing in.
-
Based on my experience in another industry you'd be surprised how often tooling and everything else gets lost.
-
Looks good. Too bad DST missed the perfect time to get an official one out.

The costumes from the comics are given more details like piping and different textures that really make them pop more. It'd be a cool way to get old costumes updated in minimates
I get what you're saying but looking at pics of the costumes it seems like a tough sell. Scarlet Spider with seams on his pants? A slightly different Negative Zone Spidey? Big Time with shoulder pads? If you already have those in your collection those aren't very appealing.
-
Well, two out of three ain't bad. But seriously, I can see the logic now.
-
They aren't as ridiculous as that figure.
-
That certainly sounds promising. I'm interested to see how they approach it.

It grows on you in the game, but you unlock his classic outfit almost immediately too. I don't need a figure of it though
I assumed that would be the case. I just get a little disappointed when there's a chance to create a cool new costume and it ends up mediocre. It would also have to be included if they made any minimates based on the game since it's the core of the marketing. It's even getting an ML figure.
I wonder if DST would even be interested in making minimates based on the game? The problem is they have made or can make practically all the Spider-Man costumes in the game and some of the villains. I can see why they might hesitate to spend extra money on the licensing even though the tech-heavy redesigns of the classic villains are generally appealing and would make cool minimates.

I think your answer is "that's too hard to draw."
