Yeah, Rock Band is damn cool! I can't wait to have 4 people going at it. The most I've had so far is 3: me on vocals, my girlfriend on guitar and my 7 year-old daughter on drums... When comparing it to GH, are you talking about guitar vs. guitar, or rock band vs. guitar? Glad to hear the Wii Zapper & Link's Crossbow training is worth it. I need a "gun". Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles just wouldn't be the same pointing a Wiimote at the screen!

Are you talking about GH1, GH2, GH3, or GH: Rocks the 80's? No matter which one you're talking about, I highly recommend them! I haven't played much of anything else since I started buying the Guitar Hero games...

Hey, TBT! I was a big fan of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. (I also didn't like the Rainbow Six: Vegas online because battle loses something indoors!) If you ever played Battlefield 2, how does CoD4 compare online? Can you get in tanks, helicopters, etc? Are there different classes of soldiers with different weapons? I'm dying for a good online battle...

OK, back to video games & not books about video games! Who bought Guitar Hero III? Which system? How do you like the new guitar controller? I bought mine for the good old PS2 (remember that?), so I just bought the game by itself. I had my first Boss Battle with Tom Morello last night. It was pretty interesting. I can't wait to get Slash!

From what I've heard, most of the narration is by Mark Ryan. Peter Cullen just does a few lines. I watched Transformers: Beginnings last night & NightViper is absolutely right- Cullen has maybe six lines in the show. Overall it's kind of cool, but nothing that's a "must have" unless you're a hardcore Transformers fan. I really like the design of the outer box that holds the Wal-Mart exclusive set. It's like a panoramic longbox, but it splits down the middle & folds in half so that you can put the DVDs on the shelf. Kind of hard to describe, but worth a look if you happen to be at a Wal-Mart.

Busy day for me. Got both metallic figures from Best Buy, the "Evolution of a Hero" Bumblebee 2-pack from Target, and picked up the 2-disc Wal-Mart exclusive DVD set. Hopefully the Wal-Mart bonus disc isn't that bad...

My local Best Buy said that each store is only getting about 10 of each metallic figure. That's gonna suck!

I'm with Neolego. It's a sickness/compulsion for me too. Just when I think I've had enough & say I'm not buying any more, I'll see something really rare or something I've been hunting for forever. I'm forced to buy it & then it starts all over again!

Do you have any idea when that might be? I have Brees & Bush on my fantasy team. Luckily I wised up this week and started Delhomme in place of Brees. That move saved the game for me. How many more games do you think Sean Peyton's gonna let Brees lose for them before he benches him? Who's his backup?

Well, all this 360 talk made me feel a little guilty, so I dusted it off and played some Lego Star Wars: The Original Trilogy while on vacation yesterday. In case anybody is interested, Toys R Us has a "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" promotion on ALL video games through 9/22. (you've still got time today!) I picked up Super Paper Mario, Mario Party 8, and Tiger Woods 08 for Wii so my 360 is about to get neglected again big time! I am rethinking the Mario Party because I've never played any of the Gamecube Metroid games & I've heard a lot of good things about Metroid Prime: Corruption for Wii...

You guys should make a Halo thread! I got a 360 for Xmas and it's pretty much been collecting dust since I got my Wii (and all the Guitar Hero games for PS2). This thread used to be a Nintendo fanboy convention until Halo fever struck! Anybody played Mario Strikers: Charged? That game is so freakin' hard in the Road to the Striker Cup mode! You have to go through 10 "qualifying" matches just to get crushed in the first of 2 elimination rounds.
