Wow this Racoon sure is controversial. I'm okay with the small figure.. I feel there was no way to win. Had he been full-scale there probably would have multiple complaints about how he looks weird and that he doesn't look in scale w/ everyone else, etc. He looks good as is, and as popular as the character is for all we know we may get a full-size 'coon down the line.

Mates look good for movie mates - pleased with the lack of civilians. Would like to see the finished product.

Firelord and Gabriel the Air-Walker are very underated imo. I love everything about that pack. For two characters I never thought would see the light of day after not getting picked for the Heralds Box set these turned out fantastic. I really don't think they could have been done better.

I agree completely and believe all of wave 16 is underrated, voted strongly for them in Minimyte's awards.

That Texeira art is awesome.. loved him on Ghost Rider too in the 90's, would love to see some mates based on those as well..

actually, as much fun as I think it would be to feature a themed villain set with sabretooth, if you are going to feature mark Teniers, ghost rider is absolutely the way to go.

I've read some debates on what characters get snubbed the most in the minimates universe, ie Thor and hulk, but I'd say ghost rider is the most incomplete above all. We didn't even see a movie wave!

Hard to argue with that.. Dr Strange could make that case too - as I pointed out in another thread, we've never even gotten a classic 616 villain for either besides Mephisto.

Although very cool looking and I want them you could make the case that Ghost Rider villains are extremely obscure.. as big a fan as I am it's hard to remember some of their names. 70s GR had The Orb, 90s had Vengeance, Blackout, Zodiac, Deathwatch, and other shared villains we need like Mr. Hyde and Scarecrow. The (awesome) Mephisto in the Infinity Gauntlet set is probably as close as we'll get to a GR villain except maybe Vengeance, who could make a very nice mate. 90's GR could use an update too, though the wave 50 one was cool.

A set based on the Midnight Sons storyline could work, and is possible based on the Strange Tales set.. Vengeance, 90's Blaze and Morbius, Hellstrom, etc. Not sure which villains I mentioned earlier appeared in that storyline, although it could just be themed to cover others.

Love those Texeira issues - read the trade when I was a kid til it almost fell apart. It's like he was born to draw Ghost Rider.

Finally got 70s GR from the Champions set recently.. wanted that one forever!

Been trying to think of a good wave based directly on one story like The Jean DeWolff saga.. harder than it sounds to come up with a full wave with a good number of our assorted wishlist characters with that restriction! Ones I'd be most excited about mentioned would be Acts of Vengeance set YouBastards mentioned (Tiger Shark! Tri-Sentinel! Even Gravitron?!!), Clone Saga and Maximum Carnage (which has both come up here many times) and of course the Dark Phoenix Saga. I'd buy any of these in a heartbeat. Surprised we've never seen a Dark Phoenix Saga wave, actually..

I agree with lots of these, especially Mesmero, Mimic, Ulik and Jack of Hearts. Think all would look good in mate form too.. Ulik is kind of shaped like a Minimate anyway and Jack of Hearts could look amazing..

I am the poster child on these forums for 90's X-Factor and Generation X, and every time her name comes up, I toss my vote in for this Typhoid Mary:

I'd take any Typhoid Mary but ideally would be the JR JR version from 1988.. big hair, shoulder pads, all that. Love that psycho chick shit, it's really hot. I have issues.

I'd say the Speedball corner is a little neglected.

Would like a Speedball, and all of the classic New Warriors. Agree with Clean..iIf one were to ask what era is most neglected you can make a good case for 90's. New Warriors, Deathlok, Sleepwalker, Death's Head II, Darkhawk, Peter David X-Factor, Stryfe just some of the ones off the top of my head.

Saw this old thread and immediately thought of Dr Strange. Although not an A-list character he has been around for years and is not represented at all. There has been not even one classic Dr Strange villain released unless you count Dormammu from MvC, which I don't (don't recognize the look). Would love to see Dormammu in his classic look and Nightmare, along with Baron Mordo (who may not be as visually appealing as the other two). If you want to count Eternity as Dr Strange I'd count him as well.

A year ago I may have said Cap but I think it's safe to say with wave 54 and 18 he's covered. With the dozens of Hulks we've gotten we have almost no villains for him to fight.. no Doc Samson, and new Abomination and Leader are sorely needed. Awesome we got Maestro, though. I'd also count DD - would like Owl, Gladiator, 80's Typhoid Mary and a new Bullseye due to how hard he is to find.

Even if he came with Thor, I consider Absorbing Man a Hulk villain. I assume Robo-Hulk is a Hulk villain too.

Really? I'd always considered Absorbing Man a Thor villain. The great majority of stories I've read of him he's fought Thor. Yes you're right.. Robo-Hulk/Gremlin does count, sweet set too. Like the alternate look a lot with the classic Gremlin decal. Still pretty sparse though! Where's ZZzax and the U-Foes? Those would be awesome.

Surprised we've never seen more Inhumans.. a case can be made for Crystal as one of the more prominent characters never to get one.

I would like all the DD characters but am lukewarm on all civilians, even Foggy, Ben Urich and Karen Page (even if it was a junkie version).

All joking aside, although I would in no way say Spider-Man's corner of the universe has been neglected there is still a sick number of characters and variants I'd like to see. (2099, Scarlet Spider, Prowler, etc)

^ Yeah but I shouldn't have to buy more pieces to fix something I payed full price for and I haven't exactly had too much luck when some of my Lego or Hasbro stuff came factory damaged so I'm not so hopeful in this situation. When that happened I could at least exchange the sets at Walmart or Target.

My main mistake was buying it in a comic shop with a no refund/no exchange policy. Had I known that I wouldn't have purchased it. I despise stores like that.

Great wave overall, very happy with it. Thrilled to get a Viper, didn't think we'd ever see her.. read the original Lee/Steranko Madame Hydra intro issues and they are terrific. Every figure is cool, even the Red Skull robot which is really bizarre with the mask on. Weird but in a good way. Love getting that Cube. Hydras among my fave army builders ever I think. My favorite look is mask but no cape, seems to be how Hydra looks in most appearances.

Was thinking, after this Cap wave his corner of universe is pretty well-represented in mate form which is very cool. Who is even left to be done? Maybe classic Batroc and Falcon (green or white/red), Diamondback, Serpent Society, Scourge?

Cool thread. There are a bunch that come to mind.

Never see anyone mention TRU wave 13 Daredevil or TRU wave 11 Nightcrawler but I think those two were both extremely well done and are among my absolute favorites.They don't have huge, oversized melon heads like some mates (a peeve of mine) - they are proportionate and are perfect representations of the characters. Also cool accessories (bamf, club w/ string) and perfect expressions.

First box sets that come to mind would be the Heralds of Galactus box set. Can't believe I still see them around considering how cool they are, Terrax in particular. His asteroid accessory is among my fave bases (Phoenix base number 1 in my book). Nova is terrific, Galactus is great despite scale issues and Morg is neat too. No flaws in this set. Love the accompanying two-pack as well with Airwalker and Firelord, another awesome set I still see a lot of. Strange Tales came up here earlier and with good reason, every mate was near-perfect. Was surprised how much I loved Werewolf and Blade, bought it mostly for the other two.

There are other randoms I like too I don't see mentioned a lot like Frontline Cap, Blink, 1st app Punisher, Modular Iron Man, MvC Taskmaster, and for some reason I really like Kuurth (maybe cause I don't have the Excalibur Jugs, cool looking figure no matter how you look at it though imo)

I would love a classic Super Adaptoid, Undeadpool beat me to posting the pic! Never seen the new ones but don't look as cool imo.

im currently on a huge Jim Starlin kick so id love just about everyone from that era (X-factor, Avengers, Infinity Watch, etc)

Love Starlin - some of my most wanted mates would be classic Warlock and Magus, fro and all. Those early 70's issues were amazing, some of the trippiest stuff I've ever read. Still thrilled we got a classic Drax in the Gauntlet set. Would also like to see cosmic characters like Eternity at some point, he would be real cool looking figure I'd think.

Luke's is great and also there are sites online (cornerstorecomics, bigbadtoystore) where you can find entire waves at very decent prices. If I was starting now and catching up that's probably the way I would go. Welcome!

The Yondu has me interested.. Love classic GOTG but not that familiar with newer versions, will Yondu look similiar to his classic 70's/90s appearance?
