I'm glad I don't think these look that great. If they weren't blind bagged, it would make it a tougher decision. Since they are blind bagged, easy pass for me.

Little off topic but did anybody else get a little bit excited when the random old lady started talking to Mystique in the film thinking they snuck Destiny in there.

Then was quickly disappointed

I did for a second. I think that means we know too much about the X-Men.

So, first we bought the b&w j&sb, then color, now we have to buy the same figures a THIRD time to get the monkey? Thats just bulls!t.

So we now we will have inaccurate B&W figures, correct B&W figs, and two sets of color figures. Yeah, that's pretty lame. As much as I love Jay and Silent Bob, it's lame.

Well, at least they're not "inaction" figures!

Are the color Jay & Silent Bob due next week? I thought they weren't coming out until February.

So, are we getting the final set this week? I've been waiting for these little guys a long time.

I remember when I was a kid, flipping my TV between the Thundercats movie where these new cats appeared and the Exorcist, which scared the hell out of me. Should have just stuck with the Thundercats.

Midtown Comics has these listed as coming out next week. Finally!

I'm just wondering, are these out? I've never seen them anywhere, except in ads in toy magazines. I don't see them anywhere online, TRU.com or elsewhere. Did these ever come out? The TRUs near me don't have any Wave 1 left, but those came out a while back. Is it just me TRUs there are completely devoid of this figures?

I see the formerly Amazon.com 4-pack is hitting some comic stores this week, so these are the only GB minis that seem to be MIA for me.

Perhaps we could have one of those fan polls where everbody ...........blah blah blah.

It's inconceivable that we would have a FA X-Men without a FA Angel .........it wouldn't be right ....it would be like FA Avengers without a minor character like Thor.

This is why the variants suck and I hate 'em. The DC Minimates made me much happier.

And another thing that is lame is that there are people selling non-variant figures on Ebay labeled as variants in their description. I know, caveat empour and all that, but I still thought it was lame. Selling non-variant "variants". :

Just Archangel, though I had Vision 2.0 and got rid of him. I'd like to get the Spider-Woman variant to build up my West Coast Avengers roster, but not at the price she's going for right now.

I didn't realise these were so pricey! I see a black SW went for $46 on Ebay recently. I know I didn't pay that much for her, probably was like ten bucks. But it was back around when it came out. I'm like you, I'm sure not paying crazy prices for these variants I wish they never had in the first place! I didn't mind when the variants were kind of lame (Cyclops w/o visor, DD w/o mask) but when they are cool (Stealth Iron Man) or NEW characters (Tarantula? How lame that it's a variant), well, I wish they weren't variants in the first place.

With the thread about the suckiness of the variant/chase figures, I was wondering just what variants do people have? This is all I've got

Elektra (black) - came when I ordered the set from TFAW

Dr Doom (scarred) - came from TFAW as well

Spider-Woman II - picked it up from Ebay

I just ordered Waves 19 and 20 from BBTS, which came with the variants and the regular figs, so I will have two more variants. I bought Red Elektra and unscarred Doom from Ebay because I wanted them (actually, I didn't want the Doom variant at all, was sad when I got it!)

The one variant I don't have I wanted is Stealth Iron Man, but I never saw it on Ebay and now it seems to go for crazy prices, so never mind. Wouldn't mind the Emma or Sentry or Thor variants, or the J. Jonah. And I'm glad we're getting a new black Spidey, everyone loves Black Spidey.

So who do you guys have?

Does anybody else hate the variants like I do? I loved how the DC line had none, and you could get all the figures you want. This chase figure mentality sucks, and is something I wish they would do away with. I have a few variants, but I wish you could just buy what you want. At least they aren't blind packaged I guess.

Can anybody which Minimates were announced but never released? I know the Ghost Rider wave never came out. And the Target Spiderman 2-packs never came out, did they? Were there any minimates in these two-packs that never came out elsewhere? I know some of them were in the Spidey 5-pack.

Any others that didn't come out? We really need to get that checklist updated, it's a bit confusing now.
