So, I just watched Predators tonight. I thought it was pretty cool. Now I will be picking up the Minimates I skipped at first.
I'm wondering, though, are we going to get a Tracker Predator? The guy with tusks on his helmet? He looked damn cool.

Can anybody tell me where to find the Predator series 2 Hawkins? The only seller on Ebay has him for $35, which gets a big hell no from me.
I'm still looking for Mac and Keyes, too. I know Luke's had them in stock but now Mac is out. Aww, the joys of blind bag packaging.

Watchmen Minimates - awesome, I'm totally pumped!
Oh, wait, Vinimates? Well I guess I can hope for Minimates in the future, someday, maybe.

Missed out on Hawkins. I'm definitely not buying a whole case just to get him and Mac so not sure what I'll do. As frustrating as this line has been to collect with repacks and duplicated characters it might just be easier to quit.
Yeah, it sucks and it's stupid. It's why I held off on buying the Aliens minimates for a long time. I finally gave in and found the singles somewhere not too badly priced.
But here we go again. I still want the Blain 2-pack, now I can add Hawkins to the list. But plenty of Predators I already have and don't want more of are readily available! Then Zach will get mad aren't happy with how they packed these - somebody chose to make Hawkins one-per-case. And that somebody is no friend to collectors.

Zach, we still getting the stretcher with Barbra?
Nope. She doesn't have it. And it looked so cool.

Did anyone buying these actually see this movie? SO BAD. Alice blows up the universe because of her own selfishness. Time is the hero of the whole dang thing.
I did. I thought it was fun. I know it's all the rage these days to see movies and then complain about them on the Internet, but I think that's pretty lame.

So the exclusives are repaints of the regulars? UGHHHHHH. F*** this blind bag sh**.
You eloquently stated my feelings on blind bags! Thank you, good sir.

Does anybody know where the Blain 2-pack is available? I wanted to get it from Luke's, but they sold out before I even knew they had them in stock.
-
I don't see why. The show's not ending.
We could still get Zsasz - he got a figure but not a Minimate. Fish Mooney is back. Firefly has been on a bunch and looks cool. Maybe the new Poison Ivy from Season 3?

The SDCC Kermit and Piggy are available on TRU.com. Just $7.49!

I gave up on Smith when he started smoking "the pot" all the time, right around "Red State". I know he has an audience and faithful followers and that's cool. But his stuff now just isn't connecting with me.
I agree with you. He talked about who great pot was and how it made him creative - then how come his best work was pre-pot? If he wants to get high and make lame films, that's fine, but I'll pass. When he gets back to making smart, funny movies, I'll be interested.
But I will probably buy these anyway, to go with all my other View Askew Mini-mates. First ever action figure of Johnny Depp's daughter? It's gonna make me rich one day, I tell ya!

I haven't found any of series 2 at TRU yet and they are out of stock online.
Luke's has series 2 in stock, though.
-
Seems like some people watch this show just to complain about it. Please, for our sake, just watch something else. There are so many different channels! I'm sure you could find something you would like - or at least something that wouldn't inspire you to go online and gripe about it.

The only sdcc exclusives I have ever had trouble with was hasbro
I haven't bought anything from Hasbro from SDCC since 2011, because either they sell out in 5 minutes - even if you're online the minute they go on sale it can be a crap shoot - or they are just too damn expensive.
It's really no fun, and toys are supposed to be fun, right?
-
Yeah, it's nutty how national retail chains are selling Comic-Con "exclusives" around the country now.
I think the weirdest thing is that they are selling at retail places the very same time that SDCC is going on. It would be one thing to sell the leftover stuff afterwards, but how can they be SDCC exclusives if they never even made their way to the SDCC?
But it's still much better for them to be figures we can actually buy and not stuff that sells out and is just scalped to high heaven. I would rather there be no exclusives at all if they are just a pain in the ass to buy. How does it benefit me as a fan of cool stuff if it just gets snatched up by some greedy little troll?

I honestly don't think I've ever seen a movie or show she was in. But if, say, she fell off of a bench, or a bicycle, or down some stairs, I imagine I would laugh at that.
Well, a lot of what she does is just fall over stuff and be loud and obnoxious. It does nothing for me. Kevin James is fat and clumsy, too, and I'm not a fan of his, either. Chris Farley, OTOH, was awesome. And I like Aidy Bryant on SNL, and she's fat. While Rebel Wilson is just too much. There's more to Melissa McCarthy than just being fat! If you are not a fan of hers, it doesn't mean you hate any and all heavyset folks, despite what some uber PC folks will tell you on the Internet.
I like Kate McKinnon a lot. Kristen Wiig is sometimes good, sometimes annoying. Leslie Jones is just big and loud and mean. They could have done a lot better with the casting. And avoiding Melissa McCarthy would have been rule number 1 for me.
-
I've never complained about the Transformers movies or GI Joe or TMNT, or anything from my childhood that's been made into a modern day project.
But this? That big tub-a-lub? It just makes me sad.

Is series 3 due out this month?
-
We haven't even revealed the TRU line-up, I don't believe. We just got in packaged samples, so it may be a little ways off.
I thought the line-up was Ripley, Hicks, Hudson, and Vazquez, all packed with Aliens?
-
Any news on when these guys are being released? Really soon?
I wish there was more buzz here for these, but I guess Aliens has a way bigger fan base.

Harassment is harassment, it doesn't matter if it's coming from your "friends", and just because he's getting paid doesn't mean he deserves to be treated that way, or that "he could leave if he doesn't like it". That's victim blaming.
Wow. My closest friends are the people I like giving the hardest time to. They like to give me a hard time. I thought it was a part of friendship?
Sure, they are rough on Ming, but I'm sure they would be the first guys to defend him. I think that's pretty obvious. But you don't see it that way, I guess.
So you're just mad Walt and Bryan weren't nice to you (thus making them terrible people?). Hey that's cool, I don't know why you have a quandary about buying Minimates of stuff you hate. Do you really need to buy every Minimate ever made? I love Minimates but it's really easy for me to pass on stuff I have no interest in - especially stuff I hate, like the Big Bang Theory. They have so many different licenses, you don't gotta catch 'em all! (Hmm. Pokemon Minimates?)
-
I really hate the show, but really love minimates....for the first time collecting minimates I am conflicted.
I'm buying Big Bang Theory Minimates, so I'm not AS conflicted, but I too have a strong dislike for this awful show.
And I usually love stuff Smith is involved in.
Wait, so the dreadful Big Bang Theory, with it's corny forced lame humor, is good enough for you, but this show is awful?
Different strokes for different folks. I like the guys on this show, how they give each other a hard time is fun for me.
Not sure we need Minimates of them, but I would probably buy them anyway.
-
This guy freaked me out as a kid. His crew with the Riddler, a fat guy, and a lady would make a great 4-pack that we will never see.
The Space Vampire would be crazy cool as well.
Season 2 would definitely need Hawk but I can't really think of anybody else.
-
Is this first set coming this month? September?
I think these little B&W guys look great - really looking forward to the new film, too.
Inhumans Can No Longer Be Avoided (new TV series)
in Marvel Minimates

I love the original Inhumans. But Marvel trying to shuffle aside the X-Men and put the Inhumans in their place because of movie rights just doesn't feel so fun.
I watched an episode of Agents of Shield because an Inhuman was in the commercial. But he really didn't do anything and the show wasn't any better than what I had given up on long ago. I know some people really like it, and that's cool, it just feels like a lot of talking and no action. The movies are pretty damn good, though.
