Does anyone know the official street date of the Marvel Series 33 mates? I know they're slated for February, but I'd like it narrowed down from 28 possible days to one. Does anyone have an idea?

I've got February 24th marked down as the last shipping estimate from the AA blog, unless I've missed a post. Just keep in mind the odds are good it'll be a week or two later than their estimate.

Anyone else think that it's odd we haven't seen box art for these though they are due for release in 3 weeks?

As excited as I am for a JL Jean, I hope they move the belt tampo to the pelvis piece (or as an add on piece). Between the belt on the chest block and the shoulder pads she looks like a linebacker.

And to you New Yorker 'verser: I checked TRU at Times Square and at Manhattan Mall last week and will give it another try tomorrow, but I don't expect to find any new mates there.

I've been to the Times Square TRU today and found myself very surprised since there were only five (5!) 2packs left. Overall. And no empty pegs. After talking to some TRU person he told me they aren't restocking them in that store anymore but taking them out of their program!

I had basically the same thing told to me a few weeks ago and thought the woman who said it was crazy. Maybe she was sane after all. I wonder why some stores would choose to do this though? Guess I am going to have to travel even further to try to find these.

it may have to do with the numerous Wolverine 'mates that over-saturated TRU and barely sold. After weeks of peg-warming, I'm sure they don't want to take a chance on new items from this line.

They made Swordsman, Captain Mar-vel, Doc Oc, and Black Bolt. Why not?

I know someone mentioned these were found in NY, but I checked 2 stores in Brooklyn, one in NYC and one in Long Island but only found the Secret Wars set. Anyone know where these are hiding?

I just got these today (thanks to the greatness that is CSC. NEVER AGAIN!!). Anyway, did anyone else have a problem with the elbow joints? I tried to straighten the hands on Drax and Thanks and both arms popped off at the elbow joint. WTH?

Anyone have any out of the box pics yet? My TRU also looked like a war zone with no 'mates in sight. I'm interested in seeing how Captain Marvel's cape came out.

I'm psyche about Selene. As a kid, I thought she was a cool character and now I have someone for my Rachel- hound mate to fight!

It looks to me like this wave is entirely based on the cartoon. That Beast looks much more like the animated version than the Jim Lee version (the face is way too cartoony). If that's that case, then we just may see an animated Jean Grey and a Black Queen variant. Fits with the rest of the set.

I don't necessarily mind the hunt either and have been (inconsistently) lucky in finding what I want (no BE/MS ever appeared at me local TRU but after a few weeks the rest have). I am really psyched about that Black Bolt but Silver Surfer/Swordsman is a pass (already have a Surfer and Swordsman has to have one of the grossest stories I have heard of lately- leathering his dead sister's hide to use as a sword hilt so that he can keep his powers? C'mon).

They alluded to it in the AA blog with the poster.

I admit that I haven't been following this thread too closely. When did they annouce the Mohawk storm? I looked back but didn't see any recent reference.

I am really stoked about the possible rachel/hound figure. But I hope she's not with Nimrod. Unless I missed something in the 90's, Nimrod was one of a kind, not an army. Regular ol' 2 inch Sentinels (despite scale issues) are a better choice, IMHO.

Anyone else get a back order notice on these? I ordered them the day they came available on TRU.com? WTH?

I know it has been tossed around that maybe we will get Storm in another 2 pack but we could also see a possible box set based on Inferno. That set would fricking rock. Pick any of the major players in that and you get one killer set.

Has anyone one ordered the AFX SDCC exclusive cyberdyne set from action figure express? I preordered it weeks ago and SDCC is over and I still have yet to get an order confirmation that it's been sent out yet. Anyone know what's up?

I'd say your PWZ set is a fluke. Valuble "toy errors" usually occur when a number of products are released to the public before a toy company realizes said error and make a running change. Example: Back when Hasbro put out their Revenge of the Sith action figures, a Chancelor Palpatine figure was released with a blue lightsabre instead of a red one. Now from my understanding, less than a thousand units were released with the blue lightsabre before Hasbro caught on and made the correction. Those blue lightsabre Palpatines were fetching more money on ebay (at the time) and were deemed a collectible error. So unless DST's minimate factory did this to several PWZ sets I'd say you just have a fluke set. I say open your set and enjoy 'em.

I found 2 unusual BSG packs, one with 2 Tighs and one with 2 Adamas. I chose to not open them because of some of the reasons stated above. Even if they turn out not to be worth anything, it's still a little bit of fun to show some of my collector buddies.
