Here's my story. I just happened to be up early on my day off and checked their site first thing. I ordered some for me and a few others. When I had them in my cart, the quantity changed from when I put them in and when I added my credit cards security number. Then when I got my e-mail confirmation there were even less than I had ordered (which has happened numerous times and resulted in backordered/cancelled orders). My order was practically gutted adn I'm sure for some of you that doesn't seem like much since I was at least able to order some, but I say this to say that their site and their system are horrible for this kind of stuff. They obviously didn't get that many cases to begin with, but the way they handle the stock they say they have is horrendous.

I work in inventory control at my job and I'd have been fired by now if I controlled stock they way they do.

Add to that the fact that half of my TRU orders were incorrect!

Wow, that's something I totally didn't notice. I agree with Aapje with the whole mask thing. I like the masks much better than the slip over kind. To me it just seems right. Can't wait for that Armored Cap. Looks awesome.

The more I look at these, the more I love them!

- Looks like we get a Doug Ramsey head with Warlock

- Is that a different blast effect for Cannonball than the one that comes with the New Mutants box set?

- Magik has a teleport base!

- Juggy looks great

- Shatterstar's swords are double-bladed!

- Meggan's feet are naked!

One complaint: Why is there no BAMF base for Nightcrawler!?!

Overall, if the final product matches the protos, DST paid great attention to detail on these 'mates.

While I have never been one to hate on the sculpted parts, that Juggernaut looks alot like the Kubrick Juggy that came out a few years ago.

I agree. I really like his costume and I'm really fond of the "inverted Superman" look he had during New Krypton, though I get the feeling I'm the ONLY fan, lol.

Yes, though I had to double check. I won a lot with about a dozen or so Star Trek mates in. I've never followed Star Trek so I never bothered with the mates on their own but they have been useful for parts. I have thought about using a different face, but so far not really found any in my parts box.

Just a quick update; while looking at various minimate sites, I realised wave 31 Mar-vell's blue and red pants would save me a lot of work on painting Mon-El, so time for a quick upgrade. This does mean I'll need to re-paint the cape to match the blue on the pants (though as you can see from the shot, the paint has been chipped off. I was an idiot and didn't leave it to dry properly, causing it to stick to the board...). Finding the right shade has been a pain (especally when it seems to be light blue and scarlet in one comic, then darker red and blue in another) but I really like the red and blue on Mar-vell. Any tips on how best to go about getting the right paint would be appreciated. I also picked up a second Battle Damaged Superman so I could give Mon the correct belt. It will need to be painted and this being my first custom minimate, I am a little scared to do it as I don't want to ruin the belt. Fortunatly my best friend collects Warhammer, so I'll ask him for advice.

I'm not too keen on the hair or the face but nothing in my parts box seems to match up right. I do have a spare movie Sandman and od feel his hair would work (with a bit of paint) but with the current face, Mon will have a huge fivehead. I have thought about maybe doing a face decal as well as the chest one. Either way, the next setp is to find the right paint and FINALLY look at making the chest decal

Oh and unmasked Mar-Vell doesn't mind his current pants, but would prefer his old ones back.

You may also want to try using Ma Hunkle's cape for Mon-El. It's the same color blue, however, it is quite big. I also think that the chest piece from the M. Bison figure matches the red from Captain Marvel and has the chest definition.

Found these in Brooklyn for $1 more per set than online ($8.50). WTH!?

Call me crazy, but I think Arcade is one of those "unlikely" characters, while Juggernaut could easily sell a 2-pack. Put him with one of the Warwolves as an army builder, and give him a color variant.

This was one if my favorites growing up and I agree that Arcade is fairly unlikely. I would be ecstatic for a Widget, Kylun or a Feron! We already have a Phoenix base.

I kind of agree! Sue looks cool, so does the Atlantean warrior, but not enough for me to justify spending on this set (anyone else think that Mole Man looks like Doc Oc with Moon Knight's cape?). They may be a pass for me, which would save me a ton on ebay since my TRU hasn't even gotten in wave 7.

I can relate to that completely bobafett & I respect the fact that you won that auction at perhaps 3.00 a.m. in the morning .

I opened my wave 36 last night plus some extra troop builders and TRU non-exclusive packs. No QC issues escept for one SC Tony (non-TRU version) having one very red cheek. The TRU one was fine, which makes me wonder if there's a pattern. So, I ask the question:

Where did everyone get their Silver Centurion Iron Man and does it have paint issues on the head?

My SC has red paint marks on his head and my Mandarin was MISSING HALF HIS ARM!!! Not to mention one of his hands...

nothing at my local TRU, just a bunch of GB minimates and nearly an entire rack of Storm/Klaw and Thor/Lady Loki sets.

I'm surprised they didn't use the Battle Beast head for Lizard.

I was excited about the Prof X/Warpath set, thinking it was the new X-Force version. If this is a powerhouse chest Thunderbird then it's a total pass for me.

I first saw this when I was browsing eBay and saw the auction. I'm not actually too fond of those Cable guns as they really stretched his hands. In general I've never cared for X-Force old or new. I'd be tempted by the Deadpool as he seems to have some cool weapons but that's about it.

I'm hoping the Heroic Age boxset is better.

Thanks. I always liked the concept of the character (especially after they made her all mystic 'n stuff) and needed to do something with the hideously boring Jewel 'mate that came with the Secret Invasion set.

I don't have this set yet and am waiting for my preorder. But is looks like BC has the same problem Lady Loki had, the color on th chest block is chalky compared to the head piece. It's hard to tell from the picture, but does she look like she has a tan?
