i deffinatly make a nod toward priming anything and everything(except for clear characters) it makes your painting POP just that much more.

quick note WoW is now according to blizzards numbers sporting a subscriber base of 7 million world wide.

and id love WoW minimates because i wouldnt have to figure out how to customize the characters my wife and i play.

flat clear coat. gives a more professional look IMHO plus doesnt give a nasty glare when taking pics of customs

and IM looks great!!!

picked up the two disc set the weekend it came out.. worth picking up.. some very neat extras on the disk.. and a very flawless edition of the movie on the disks.

hey fujis you have got to give me some tips on how you made dick tracy's hat.. ive scrapped about 4 deisigns on a hat like that and i cant get one to come out just right.. any tips?

thats an AOA Colossus that im trying to work out.. one of my many half fleshed out ideas. As for the guy undersuperman thats the Modern Starman i did way back when.. never was happy with him.. parts of him im pleased with but over all .. meh..

glad you like my "workshop" most of the time its a whole lot messier than that. lol

same brand as the primer its called armory.. its a miniature primer/clearcoat.

Loved using it way back when i used to paint & ebay warhammer 40k miniatures. Figured id give it a shot for my 'mates.

1st - making your own minimate parts is a pain in the ass

2nd - i will never not prime a minimate again (sidenote to this.. too much prime being inhaled by me makes me kinda woozy and causes posts like this)

3rd - i will never not seal a minimate again (after far too long of not having my customs sealed i finally sealed my customs.. after touching up the ones that needed touching from paint chipping off. )

I'd be posting pics of the two customs im currently working on but it would ruin the suprise of posting the finished product(although to me if you've seen my last two customs the next two arent hard to guess)

The main reason of this post was that 2 part epoxys while a great tool.. are a pain to get sculpted to what you want especially when youve never done much sculpting before. Primer is my new friend.. i wouldnt have belived it when i started doing custom minimates but i will never not primer a mate again.. the paint just goes on and lays down and with so many less coats and so much less work. Clearcoat.. wow.. thats all i have to say about clear coat..

ill get around to posting the pics of the mates i cleared some time tomorrow when im not sooooo woozy..

id love to tell you whose head that is.. but im honestly not sure.. although i think drgnbrn316 is correct with his guess of GSXM Wolvie.. ill take a picture of my minimate tackle box so you can see why im not really sure whose head it is

bought some scultping material today.. next two customs will be taking full advantage of that fact.
