  1. I think it's awesome kids will see a minimate on TV. If their interest is piqued they'll look online and see that the line has been around for 10+ years and has hundreds of figures. That to me is awesome, thinking of the people just getting into it now. I was 13 in 2003 and saw my first minimates at Universal Studios and I was blown away by the detail and quality back then... And now it's so much better there is no comparison.

Marvel is gaining new fans all the time and it's awesome to see another generation excited about the heroes we grew up with. For me it was the 90s era, for some on the board it was 80s, 70s (or earlier haha). The future is exciting for marvel, and for minimates to one day be mainstream (ie synonymous with Lego) is a real possibility, and that is something I think we can look forward to. Gone will be the days of people calling them "Legos!" Rejoice for the time minimates will be a household name.

  2. Throwing in a sandwich accessory with Fitz Simmons would be awesome

Well, we're already getting a Sitwell with the Cap movie wave, so...

But if it would give us movie S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent troop builders, I can't imagine too many people would complain, as I've heard it requested quite often...

(Though, an Agent Blake would be the perfect fodder for custom LOST Man in Black & Supernatural War figures...)

Thanks for the reminder, forgot about Sitwell

  3. true... and i guess its different enough to not be too upsetting for people who shelled out big bucks for the original. i love the shiny armors and hulkbuster was one of the first if i recall correctly. It'll be cool to have two different versions, and the armored hulk is another great hulk variant (which we've got a lot of lately). Still waiting on the classic grey bulked up hulk though... although might be able to modify rhino + joe fixit to make one.

  4. 6-pack (duh):

    Phil Coulson/Melinda May

    Grant Ward/Skye

    Fitz/Simmons

Or to round out a wave add in a generic shield agent army builder

    Phil Coulson/SHIELD Agent

    Melinda May/SHIELD Agent

    Grant Ward/Skye

    Fitz/Simmons

    Or a no-variant wave

    Phil Coulson (with badge)/Melinda May

    Grant Ward/Skye

Fitz/Simmons (with drone flyer things accessories)

Jasper Sitwell/Agent Blake (both appeared in Item 47, a chitauri gun would make an easy accessory)

  5. Seems like it... Sheesh.. Although for hulkbuster ....

Does anyone know if the mail in will be offered for all DVD copies? Meaning I can go to any DVD retailer and pick up the movie then do the mail in for the minimates?

Bc if I can pick this up at best buy or Barnes and noble then that's pretty sweet

  6. And am I the only one that thinks Sif is like a billion times hotter then Jane Foster? I spent the whole movie thinking "what is wrong with you, Thor?"

    THAT DRESS THOUGH.

Jaimie Alexander would be perfect as Wonder Woman. I said as much back in 2011. Sif rocks!

Yeah, she'd be excellent. I dunno, I'm fine with Portman, but I'll never quite forgive her for how bad she was in the Star Wars Prequels.

I disagree. Portman is awesomely talented but poor writing and directing wasted her potential.
