  1. Don't expect to see even 1/10th of them.

The multiple armors represent a small portion of the overall film, so expect them to represent a similar portion of the line. We didn't significantly increase the size of our regular offering for this film, and we paid the normal amount of attention to supporting characters like Aldrich Killian and the Extremis Soldier and Maya Hansen. We may very well be the only company making product that represents these characters.

Hmm so 3 then. Time to get customizing.... teehee.gif

  2. I like how now we are talking Winter Soldier on the Wolverine thread, and meanwhile on the Winter Soldier thread they are talking Wolverine (kind of).

If they do a Cap themed wave though, a Winter Soldier/Falcon 2 pack would do nicely, and perhaps it would be a good opportunity to reboot classic Nick Fury. (Variant could be WWII Nick Fury).

  3. Has there ever been a comicbook wave released along side a movie wave? Everytime a new marvel movie is brought up and we find out minimates are being made , a bunch of people immediately start talking about a comic book wave. I've only been collecting minimates seriously for a year, so forgive me if this is common knowledge.

Wave 44 (Comic Avengers) and Wave 45 (Avengers Movie)

  4. That is really amazing. Cannot wait for more! :P

Now, how many unique characters are there? For a definition of unique, lets go with: if someone traveled back in time and removed that person at birth/conception, then any costume/persona/clone, etc would not count. So, Iron Patriot = Noman Osborn = Green Goblin, Ultimate Jean Grey = Jean Grey = Phoenix, etc.

Okay, maybe clones count (X-23, Ultimate SpiderWoman, etc) :D

Easy way to start off, divide 795 in half. That eliminates all the spideys, wolvies, and iron men. :P

  5. The sales of movie-based Minimates keep the comic line vital. There are still plenty of comic-based Mates coming out this year -- 48, 50, 51, TRU 15, TRU 16, various box sets -- and we will likely get another assortment in before the end of the year.

But separately numbering the lines is a mere technicality -- we'd still put out the same number of assortments per year. We don't want to put out more Marvel Minimates than the market can bear.

And a cinematic "Best of" would involve a dozen licenses from a couple of studios, but maybe in the future something like that might be possible.

The Avengers movies are pretty much "Best of" in themselves wink.png

And I love the movie-mates, I am missing a few from Iron Man 2 but I have the rest. I hope we get Bearded Logan in Wave 52!

    You mean Yukon Wolverine? YES.

YES. Now knowing the rest is irrelevant to me. Nothing will be better than that beard.

  6. Now that you mention the mark I - VI in a boxset instead of the new armors the idea sounds really appealing to me. At the same time though, it kinda makes all the ones I have (which is all) obsolete.

I'm thinking only the armors Tony actually wears get 'mated. In theory because those would be more prominent on screen compared to the iron legion

  7. oh and Josh, not sure if you saw today's armors, but they're pretty awesome.

Were you referring to yesterday's armor's or today's? And that's one hot pepper! (Give this to me. I rushed to this website for this pun.) Igor makes quite an exciting thought for minimateage...but he also brings up the defining line between what this boxset will be(New mates or re-release). The other suits could kind of be made through repeated parts or even repeated mates...but he's a whole different animal than a regular iron man mate. For those with more suit knowledge than I, is that some sort of cannon on the "red snapper"? I want the "gemini" so...so bad...yes.gif

Kudos, hot pepper is a better pun. :P
