  1. Sorry, Tarantino left himself out of the poster. I do however have a zombie. Made for the Charitymates: Monsters for Blood Project Here's how he was made!
  2. It's logo time! See the creation of the Zombie Guy in my customs thread!
  3. Hi there Former-Not-Member! An Oni Minimate sounds like it's going to be awesome!
  4. Might I make a suggestion then? If these are going to be printed, be sure to make them at a high resolution, PM me if you have any questions And Fujis, I'll se where I can fit that in EDIT: Edited one is up now
  5. It's looking good hyejinx1984, you can tell it's a rough, but if the quality goes up to that of your icon and signature, they'll look great. Mind if I ask what you're making them with? Oh, and thanks for the feedback.
  6. Would it be in bad-taste, or against the law to have a zombified minimate in an America Blood Center Shirt?
  7. Just to get people's hopes up? Actually a silhouette of all sixteen would be pretty sweet...and scary! Well, whatever I'm working on now is coming out of a coffin. Maybe it should just be a blank?
  8. No worries, I'm going to try to go with something that's not on the list to be made, sorry about that
  9. Should I incorporate a very generic monster as the mascot? Say a plain old skeleton or something
  10. I'll happily change my offer of doing cards to helping with the logo design once we have a name sorted out.
  11. I'm begining to think it might be easier to not do the cards, or to take my name off the card do-er list for now. Between the fact that they would have to be done after all the customs, and the August deadline, it might just be easier to skip them.
  12. I'm also available for card designs. See my work on my Poster Contest entry for an example of what I can do. And these should be easier considering the 'Mates would already be designed, as I had to make all the extra details for the Grindhouse ones. Maybe a Christmas theme for Toys for Tots? It's obvious, but it could work
  13. If this is turned into a repeated event, we could use a name like "Minimates for Charity" or "Charitymates" with a subtitle such as "Monstermates for blood" Actually, looking at that card WIP, I think it could be a great idea. When Fujis has all the customs, he takes pictures of them in logical poses, and sends the pics to an Illustrator-savvy person who then traces them into an illustration of the custom, and places them in a scene.
  14. Oh yeah, names.... Minimate Multiverse Presents: Monster-Mates Monster-Mates for Blood Minimates for Blood
  15. The trading card sounds like a fun little add in, but only if the customizer made a design to go by. Me, I'm looking into maaking sarcophagus box
  16. You mean the victims? Yeah, I think that's a good idea. Sorry, I don't intend to have an 8 foot tall mummy  And hyejinx1984, go with Acrylics
  17. Perhaps we should say that average humans are 2" Minimates then?
  18. Out of general curiosity, should we all agree to a general scale? As in, use 2" Marvel-Sized Mates unless it's a big monster?
  19. Aw crap! Don't do that, I wanna win Thanks for your comments everyone. I was really despising tracing Superman after the first batch in the Planet Terror side
  20. Sure, I'm all for posting, it helps people know that their choice might be a popular one. I'm shooting for: Mummy Invisible Man Phantom of the Opera
  21. I really do like both ideas of Monsters and Zombies. The problem I see with the monsters is people bickering over which they want to make, or if we go with Reideen's idea, how many multiple Draculas we'll have, and how much variety overall there will be. We'd also have to make it very clear that they can't look very much like the famous incarnations of the characters Me, I would want to do the Invisible Man, or Phantom of the opera.
  22. Sounds like it could be fun What should the theme be?
  23. Okie dokie, first up is my entry for the Minimate Poster Contest: Grindhouse (Click for full-sized image) Source: (Also click for full) Making it took more than a couple designs, and those are here: First off is the all important Cherry Darling, or the chick with a gun for a leg. Fun Fact: Initially I was just going to make the Planet Terror poster, also this is my first design made fully in illustrator Next is the lineup of characters at the bottom of the poster. These are the whole designs, that were later cropped when put into the poster, so some of them look rather funky. These were made by tracing photos I took of a Minimate (A bald Battle-Damaged Supes) in the poses the people were in. Included is a closeup of the one I think came out the best, Dr. William Block Lastly, the 8 women at the top of the Death Proof side, also made using the bald Superman routine Fun Fact: The skull on the Death Proof car was squared out to make it resemble a Minimate
