I'm torn on this. Part of me is only saying xmen because I WANT them. But 50th anniversary sounds too perfect to pass on. Gold ultron...is that some form bot, though? Like army builder? Because that can be seen as a hint, as many have stated.

X-men was my first guess, but I didn't have anything to back it other than it being a while since a release. But that's a pretty solid thing to base it on. If not ultron, I'm going with some form of X-men set. Is the villian said to be new or an update? If new, maybe pyro?

Woah. I thought we had nailed it down. Then what the heck is it? Are there any anniversaries this year?

I believe my vote is either some form of xmen set. I want to see the cyclops optic blast mask used with another cyclops. or...my own wish...a spidey set. I would like an update of the sinister six.

Has xmen been ruled out as a possible option? All this talk of cyclops gets me excited. Once a week a thought occurs in my head. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if we got as many of the other xmen as we do wolvie. Hmmm....

This wave is mostly an out for me. Other than P5, I think I'm sitting it out. I'm happy with the Wanda from the boxset, and I'll have twenty more options for the rest of the characters this year haha. I may try to find reaper loose.

I'm thrilled to get another absorbing man. I haven't complained yet, but...truly...I could do without the extra wolverine. I'm going to have a bucket full this year. Ultron does look fantastic, though. I love the gold color. What's our estimated release date?

One thing no one is really saying anything about is the nova base. Is this because the 50 version also has that? Because if not, that's a major difference in versions.

Youbastards, you've customized my dreams. Maybe the way around having either just work clothes or sports bra Pepper could be the Extremis procedure. All hooked up and such. At least, I hope she comes with an extremis-ed head. My vote is also for the final battle. While the mandarin mate we got was wonderful, EVEN with knowing how off the wall that version of mandarin was compared to comics...I was still sort of "Hmm. We're missing the villain." about the LCS wave. I'm going to be shocked if we don't get some other form of Aldrich. I'm hoping it isn't a 1999 boxset, UNLESS Happy gets his facial hair.

Shi-ar would be cool. It'd allow for Gladiator Mate & A Banshee mate to be made too & have it all be from one corner of the universe.

This would be killer. After seeing how fantastic the updated Human Torch pieces are, a Dark Phoenix of present day(other than MvC) would be..just..wonderful. Wonderful. Plus, I rarely get sick of seeing Cyclops as a mate. I know this may not be pulled for by everyone, but I really would love a 90s Gambit update. The first one was really great, but it's rather tough to find(for me, at least.)

I really don't understand why people are talking about Blackheart as if he were on the same level as some of the more iconic unmade villains like Strucker, Blob, Wrecker, etc. He is an extremely minor character who has only appeared in a handful of stories, none of which are very memorable or important in the grand scheme of the Marvel Universe. I think people's opinions are skewed because he was in a video game, therefore he must be a major player. He's so low on the totem pole that even when he appeared in the Ghost Rider film, Marvel didn't put him back into circulation in the comics, and they ALWAYS try to do that whenever possible (William Stryker in X2). He would definitely look cool as hell as a Minimate, but he really doesn't belong in these types of discussions.

Well...I think it's just because he WOULD look cool as hell. As great as it is to see the more iconic villians as mates, "cool" toys sell pretty well and don't always have to be big players. He may not be as heavily pushed forward, but there's also the fact that he WAS in that video game(which is actually where I remembered him from, so you and I are completely on the same page. Literally and figuratively). I don't think all opinions are skewed in that way because discussion is discussion is discussion. Kids being the main expected crowd to be in a TRU aren't really going to always know that Blob and Wrecker ARE big movers and shakers in the Marvel Universe...but may be more apt to swing in the direction of "WOAH. COOL. PLEASE MOM.". Now in the same way, he IS NOT near the top list of "folks needing mates". He would just, well, look cool as hell. Full circle. I'm not pulling for a Blob, but I'd dig a Pyro and a Toad completely as far as brotherhood goes.

He's just so incredibly nice looking. I think it could translate well into mate form with all the new sculpting advances we've seen lately. Plus, he's just cool. I ended up digging puppet master pretty well, but he doesn't exactly fall into my book as evil wonderfulness in the same way as blackheart. If I can illogically wishlist with the rest of us, please give me a Carnage and Blackheart two pack. Pwease, Zach.

This is very left field, friends, but...I was thinking..and why have we never received a blackheart mate?

It really does feel like this boxset is more so tight-lipped than the others we are looking at seeing this year. We already know the lineup of the NOW t-bolts and have actually seen early shots of the Wolverine set, but I haven't seen anything said other than Pepper about this one. I hope to see some idea of a release date or mate number for this set. It's keeping me up at night.

I'll take a single Carnage update as the whole TRU wave, if that's what it'll take.

THIS. You're after my heart, sir. I'm not crazy about Blob or Mystique as overall characters, but I like to imagine them as killer mates. In replace of them, I would like to see an update of the blue and gold cyclops or more recent version from NOW's extinction team or whatnot, classic gambit, or a nightcrawler. I know we've gotten pretty recent nightcrawlers, but I missed them . I think I would prefer them in a best of series 3, though. I'm dying for a ironed out P5 team. I foresee awesome accessories with Namor/Magik. Throw in Falcon somewhere for good measure. I think there are folks on this site who would pay more than the cost of a resin statue just for classic Falcon

Just got to see the movie today..and I must say, I'm extra excited for the shot at more minimates from this movie. I'm wondering if the Pepper that Zach mentioned will be part of the extended box set OR possibly an extra wave? Also, so I can be fully equipped to discuss things that aren't common knowledge, can someone teach my poor self how to us spoiler tags? I just...I just don't want to be THAT guy..I can't take the shame.

Aren't the All New X-Men the same as the First Appearrance X-Men 'mates? Not trying to be a jerk, I haven't read the comic yet.

My apologies! I should have thought it out more. Yes, essentially, they are the same costumes. I guess I'm talking more of a "Marvel NOW!" x-men wave. Maybe a post AvX extinction team as a boxset. Magneto, Magik, Cyclops, and...um...maybe diamond Emma? Not sure. Sorry, everyone, I read the first All New X Men issues yesterday and I'm finding myself wishlisting 24/7.

I can give a katana to Electra I'm actually very excited for this set. An updated Rulk will be great and I don't actually own an Electra so this will make me finally get her. DP is always welcome, regardless. Especially with pistols. And Punisher will be wonderful with either side of the chest block. I never really saw this boxset being made(or even the team), though. It's quite cool to see all four in one boxset.
