There have been occasions where we have not hit the number to produce a set -- Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose was a mostly female set, Godfather was mostly male, neither reached the necessary numbers to go forward. Not sure if it's ever happened with a Marvel set, but some sets we've made have NOT sold out.

LOL I wanted that too, so I made them that way. Dug into the custom parts bin and got a full line up although the ladies are KILLING me. Just because I need to have a Maria Hill, Quake, Agent 13, Monica "Black Widow" Chang, Deadpool's SHIELD Agent, and now an Agent May from Agents of Shield. Although I would whine less if Zach got me the Jim Lee X-Men Costume redone for women and men...

I really have a hankering for a Moira MacTaggert, Amanda Stefton (she never really wanted to be a hero), Jarvis, Wong, and that is about it. Most Civilians are easy to custom.

Don't believe that. I bought the whole wave from the Times Square Toys R US on August 29th. I left a complete wave plus extras on the shelf. Looks like they haven't restocked.

Since I'm posting I might as well say hello to everyone. Been lurking here for over a year and I think I have only posted once.

EDIT: I dont have time to take a lot of pix right now but after pulling them from the trays I have to say I'm impressed with this wave, lots off detail and accessories...

oh and this was a cool surprise... I have no idea if that's the right hair piece as there were a couple in the box!

I think we're getting a lot of these already in Wave 51. And I'm glad you're enjoying it, but I have little to no faith in Bendis at this point. He's above Jeph Loeb but that's about where it ends for me.

Bendis has extreme highs and lows. This was a low. Nuff said.

Caveat: I will be buying this set.

That being said, I kind of hate it. I never got into Angela or Image but man what a great custom fodder for a She-Ra minimate or a Dani Moonstar Valkryie. I was OK with my custom Nick (old Nick head, new hair, on SHIELD body) so I didn't feel that needed an update. I have a butt load of Tony and this new Ultron is the only thing I find interesting. So I feel like a comic collector in the 90's. I will buy it but I hate it. But then again I hated Age of Ultron as well.

Thunderbolts should get a bucket.

Weirdly, in my mind I group them in with the Avengers since they started off as The Masters of Evil in disguise.

Yeah, I think my TRU thinks I'm some kind of vagrant who comes in everyday, for like 3-4 minutes, then leaves.

For a wave that is majority character retreads, they are all really nice 'mates. I keep going back and forth between Cap and Wolvie for my favorite of the bunch.

Thanks for the photos. I agree this isn't a line I was PSYCHED about but they did a great job of brining it to life. And is it just me or does Wanda always just have ugly not practicle costumes?

By my count there are already four New Warriors. Firestar, Nova, Dagger, and Scarlet Spider so Justice/Marvel Boy would make number five.

Funny enough I wasn't counting Scarlet Spidey but Penance is Speedball so there are currently 5 and Vance would make 6. Although I would still pose Cloak iwth them regardless of his 10 second affiliation with the team.

Captain Britain is a kind of major character (he has headlines one book or another since the early 70's) so I think the Captain Britain corps might be a nice boxset. Actually Imagine if it was like the recent Deadpool box but taken even further with lots of union jack inspired parts that can be combined 20 or so different ways (OK i'm officially dreaming now). Mind you without the good captain we wouldn't even have the 616 as a concept.

As a comic-book character CB probably came at a bad time for me...."I'm far too old for comic books now " . I never really got into the pipe-smoking Merlinesque , ( ???) quintessential , English stereotypical Brit that is f*ck all like any reality character I could ever relate to .

However...................

Captain Britain deserves far better than what we have received thus far from the Asylum .

I can't think of two more disappointing minimates & I don't even feel any affinity to the character !

Aww CB isn't THAT bad as a Mini. He just needs a bigger chest piece but besides taht the Excalibur one is ok. I can think of other minimates that have been done dirtier.

This way I get 3 of my favorite Avengers, complete the Uncanny relaunch team, and have a quartet of New Warriors.

Here’s my thought process:

Namor (Yes, Regina we are trying to make Fetch happen)

X-Men (Uncanny through X-Babies)

Wolverine (sure he’s an X-Man but he is his own machine churning out Alpha Flight, Lady Deathstrike, etc)

Dr. Strange (most magic)

Cosmic Defenders (Silver Surfer, GOTG, Quasar, Infinity Watch, Space Heroes)

Marvel Knights aka the street heroes (Daredevil, Moebius, Black Panther, Heroes for Hire, Moon Knight, Punisher, Cloak & Dagger, Ghost Rider, etc.)

Where sticking points lie are the cross character/world books. For example is Namor really a franchise or is he an Avenger, FF, X-Men or is Daredevil a franchise and Marvel Knights live under him?

New Warriors has connections to every corner (Night Thrasher – Marvel Knights, Nova – Cosmic Defenders & Fantastic Four, Namorita – Namor & Fantastic Four, Speedball – Spider-Man, Firestar – Spider-Man, Avengers, X-Men, Marvel Boy/Justice – Avengers, Cosmic Defenders, and Fantastic Four.)

Runaways is the “spirit” sister of New Warriors bringing in all of the corners of the MU.

Titles like Cloak & Dagger started in Spidey, drifted into the Warriors, X-Men, and the Knights which are basically the street heroes.

Based off of characters I would say that surprisingly, The X-Men are still neglected considering the sheer amount of spin-off titles that have been associated with the franchise. X-Men can also be argued to be Marvel's main franchise especially for a good 20-25 year chunk.

I would rank Avengers second missing staples like the Masters of Evil, several members of their lineup, Young Avengers, and connections to space heroes.

Third would be the Cosmic Defenders no GOTG, Genis, Eternals, MoonDragon, Pip, etc.

Four Spider-Man Villans factory.

Then Thor.

That being said, my love is the Teen heroes set and i would be happy if I finally got my New Warriors completed. We have a Firestar, Cloak, Dagger, Nova, Penance (if I have to ). I would could live with that if I got a four pack set of Marvel Boy, Night Thrasher, Speedball, and Nita. Sure Rage and Sil are missing and I need an updated Firestar but at least I got one.

I just wish that the stripes were a little thinner so taht more variety could be seen on it. I was thinking of using a toybiz Banshee

Or a Gen X Banshee

But defacing either of them made my soul cry.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback. As requested here is the back of Siyrn's cape. I have Banshee as well in the Blue X-Men uniform but waiting for a hair piece to come in. I hand stitched both but will probably go back over them with a machine whenever I get around to hemming some pants. I also did a loop on the cape for the arms and the head to keep the in position.

THanks guys! I will take more photos from the back of Siyrn so you can see the back. Basically one panel of the ML Banshee made two capes. Just waiting for the right hair piece so I can finish her Dad. Continuing red head week though I realized I hadn't posted my updated MJ.

She is hanging in my office and just having a blast. I used a few ladies for her but the head and hair are from the original. The main part of the body is Maya from IM3. Lastly I stole Julia's denim skirt to give it more of a MJ feel. I started trying to make this version using Lady Deathstrike legs, Cowboy Wolvie boots, but I didn't find a black top that "worked" and that gave her a feminine shape.

Well, I just took a turn creating another version of Siyrn using the standard formula: 90's Rogue chest and crotch, First Appearence Doom legs and arms, Cyclops provided the rest except I used movie MJ face and hair. I also decided to try cloth and took a ML Banshee figure and cut the cape, re-sewed it and attached it to her. Thoughts?

NYC is ending up with a big ole goose egg.
