Stupid question but since I haven't seen Wave 59 Beast, are the extra thingh and bisceps pieces painted black already or did you paint them?

Wow. I haven't been really in the Minimates crowd for a while as I got burnt out on all the movie based waves, but to finally see Brotherhood Minimates as well as Banshee and Forge in the outfits I wanted to complete my 90s X-Men teams... My Minimates appreciation has come back in full force.

The only thing that would make this all even better would be a 90s X-Factor reveal. ...And Power Pack.

These costumes first appeared in Uncanny vol 1 258 designed by Jim Lee (in the comics Forge made them)

They became par the course for years and in Uncanny 275 after the X-Tintion Agenda they became the unifying identity for the fragmented team. Logan, Betsy, and Jubes had just arrived from fighting Mandarian. Banshee, Forge, Jean Grey, Beast, Gambit & Storm had just reconnected before the crossover. The team had just put them on when Lila Chenney appeared to take them into space to fight the Imperial Guard and the fake Skrull Professor X. The team wore these throughout the space mission and through the Muir Island Saga which lead to the relaunch with the Blue & Gold team. The X-Forcers were thrown in them when they were in "jail" for a bit. Jubes wore it before the Generation X storyline. New training mutants like Cecilia & Joseph also wore them until they "earned" their custom uniform.

My only issue with the Michonne hair is that headband. That white headband can be an issue. I have been using that hair piece on Photon/Spectrum/Captain Monica for a while.

I am going to buy the hell out of this set. Yes, I am annoyed that my First Class X-Men set is about to get replaced but I am so freaking excited for this set. I already need 4 set of them.

Would you rather see that specific Banshee? Or just have a Banshee to sustain you until DST decides to make Classic Cassidy? It's just me though. I, personally, don't care which banshee we get, just that we get one. If you'd rather see GSXM Banshee, that's ok.

Personally, my only interest display-wise is Blue and Yellow Banshee, but... If we are getting the Blue and Yellow bodies anyhow, it would seem to make sense to release Banshee with the original colors and essentially get a two-fer

I love the wave 59 X-Men, but I wouldn't mind a few other members done to match. I threw together a quick mockup of Havok and Polaris:

I was able to get in there and get Jean/Scott and weirdly Bobby/Sentinal but didn't see anyone else. I am also the devil though so I basically threw the spare heads on my uniform X-Men in the Danger Room and am waiting to display the others until I find Iceman, Warren and Hank.

How long till NYCC and we find out who the line-up *actually* is. The speculation is doing my head in!

I really think we are on to something with the blue and gold suited X-men and the Brotherhood. If so, I'm going to be over the moon! If Banshee is only in the 90s suit with no green suit parts, I'll be slightly sad…but that doesn't mean we couldn't get a classic one later on (with Sunfire)! This time around, I'm really thinking:

4 new villains = Pyro, Blob, Avalanche, Destiny, 1 redo = Wolverine, 2 new heroes = Forge and Banshee, 4 females = Destiny, Storm in blue and gold suit with Jubilee and Psylocke heads, and since they said 2 teams would be completed, parts for Gambit must be in the mix with Wolverine, Banshee or Forge. Totally epic wave if it comes to pass! Right on par with the FF wave and the Outback X-men wave, which have been my favorites thus far!

I still really want that X-factor wave at some point, but that really may make a better exclusive box set or two (ala Alpha Flight). Hopefully the slow sales of the Alpha Flight sets on the after-market haven't soured the chances of someone picking up an exclusive like this.

Well maybe if we can get the Foes to sell out at Luke's then maybe we can do a kickstarter for the X-Factor minimates.

Seeing Quicksilver and Ronan in one aeries sure makes me wish we had the person that ties them together for an awkward super-powered love triangle: Crystal!

Add in a "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" Inhumans family set and we'd be GOLDEN.

Wolverine in the Fang costume perhaps? I could get behind this.

In honor of the premire, I have busted out my Agents customs.

I only have an issue with new Daken because having 1/4 of the Uncanny Avenger's Horsemen would be very irritating.

I actually wouldn't mind Logan's Legacy boxset, so long as Wolverine himself wasn't included.

More annoying would be getting Banshee only to find out its in the horsemen colors.

an anchor character, figure two can't necessarily be "anybody," but if

you're specifically looking for characters that have never been made, I

would increasingly look towards specialty, as those characters are not

likely to make the cut at a mass retailer. Wave 60 will have several.

I am not much of an A-List character fan but I have to say I love this wave and how they announced it. Most of these are packs I only want one character but that's life. I need more Sentinels for the Danger Room so will pick up that set. If I ever get to SEE the GOTG figures I would display Iron Man there but would buy this purely for Ronan. We are just two off then from having The Annihilators. As for Quicksilver and Vision. I had forgotten my classic Vision was a custom. Lame I know. Still would want this set since I feel like Pietro can use an update and hoping for an X-Factor presence in 60. I may rotate out Visions but will wait to see. Either way he is a great looking figure I'm just not a huge Vision fan to display multiples. Mysterio I missed out on the first time and I will be buying two just to make an Orb as well. Spidey is just there as usual.

We haven't revealed the line-up yet, but someone here has more or less guessed it. Only off by one!

Everyone else in 19 we've gotten comic Mates of before, but three not for a long time, and I believe all three have been asked for. Two are new (or recent) costumes for Marvel mainstays. One is a returning army-builder.

Eight different figures. Not themed, a pretty diverse group. Avengers, X-Men, GOTG and Spider-Man. No overlap with 60. BUT one overlap with 59.

1. Iron Man/Ronan. No other GOTG-related characters.

2. New costume/re-do. Ties in to another box set.

3. New costume/army builder.

4. Re-do/Re-do.

So far we have

GOTG Iron Man / Ronan

Spidey / Mysterio

Wolvie (new costume) /Sentinel

Quicksilver / Redo is all that is left.
