Surely it's my long awaited New Warriors wave!

It’s only the 30th year anniversary why would they get any attention? Don’t worry though I’m sure that Marvel Legends will give them attention. We already have gotten a huge section of the team and the add ons. But yes a 4 pack of Thrasher, Vance, Speedball and Firestar would be Amazing.

I just hope it fills in the holes of some missing members of any teams that we already had minimates of!

I would be into that. Having only 6 minimates a wave is just so bloody depressing so at this point I’d rather them fill out what’s missing like a Greg C Warpath, Sunspot et al.

Will wave 81 be available at walgreens?

No. So waves with high numbers are typically for local comic stores or your preferred online retailer. I personally love Luke’s Toy Store. Anything that is a movie ir cartoon typically is what you will find at Walgreens (if you are lucky). Walgreens has had two comic lines but for the most part these are the rules of the game.

i'll be honest and say as a person who has maybe 20 vinimates.....the mecha godzilla, cthulu, and flash (comic) were my favorites until i bought the rocketeer one.

man, that is a perfect figure!!!!  really makes me want minimates but i'll take this over nothing!

After years of begging, emails, and posts about this The Rocketeer, like the Buffy Mates, are a big eff you to me and unless I’m gifted them there is no way I will buy them. But they are pretty.

Yes, Chemo and Doomsday could be cool. A Lex Luthor mech suit (a la Hulkbuster) could be fun. Clayface is one of those morphing characters who could pull off a size change but we've already got a Minimate of him.

I picked up a Darkseid just to turn it into a statue for an Apokolips diorama someday.

I drunkingly went and bought 4 Vinimates last week. Bringing up my tally to 8 I think. I have Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Darkseid, Iron Giant (that I pose with Stargirl), Batgirl, Nightwing, Slimer, Manhattan,  and Cthulu. I have been debating buying Godzilla and an Alien just to have monsters around for the REAL collection but I refuse to spend more than 5 bucks on any of them.

Every time this thread gets bumped, my heart skips a beat. DC minimates are back!

    Oh ... Vinimates.

    Sigh. (no offense DST)

I do the same thing with their press releases or solicits.

Stripe would be great. And while I'd love to see Elasti-Girl and Colossal Boy they'd be pointless without accompanying Doom Patrol and Legion of Super-Heroes Minimates.

That’s why I left them off sadly. They already did a shoddy job of filling out teams. I actually wouldn’t mind a Solomon Grundy who would be too large but still look cool. Anti monitor and Doomsday would be great too but I can’t think of a third villain. Either way this line will always be the bane of my collection.

  7. There are literally only three vinimates I want to see before this line goes under: Stripe, Translucent Hal, Translucent Jon Stewart. I doubt I will get any of them.

    Yeah dude, here's the assortment:

As you can see, the spell effects scale pretty nicely (I'm gonna use them for a Dr. Strange pic) where as the objects are close enough.  The Dumpster is a tad small, but works well enough and the concrete barrier works for what it needs to be.  Meanwhile, that big tombstone statue might be a little too small for it's own good, but I can still figure something out.

I got'em from Atomic Empire online, but they're all readily available at gaming stores so you got options if you want to dive in.

These are great! Funny enough the dumpsters look like apartment sized dumpsters for brownstones. So if you have any of those shots thought up that works. If you add the tombstone to another piece it could be taller and then work that way.

Most of it doesn't because as Augie mentioned, it's too small.  However, I've found that some incidental stuff scales pretty alright - crates, oil drums, the occasional computer console -  so don't totally write the 40k stuff off.  I just bought some Reaper Miniatures spell effects and they look awesome.

    PIC!!!

I’ve been reading the HoX/PoX and Dawn of X titles as they’ve been added to Marvel Unlimited and I can’t recommend them enough. These are the comics I expect to read in 2020. There are some genuinely new and fresh stories going on here and some truly progressive ideas that don’t come across as pandering or heavy-handed (to me).

With that said, I think Xavier, white suit Magneto, ponytail Storm, and blue suit Cyclops are absolute musts.

But there are SO many other awesome possibilities:

Kate Pryde (with red scarf and additional broken nose head) and Lockheed

    Apocalypse in a suit

    Wolverine (updated brown suit)

    Cable (young)

Beast (for the love of mates, we don’t have a good modern Beast)

    Emma Frost (white suit)

    Magik (black costume)

Jeez. I could go on and on. Modern mutants have really gotten the shaft since that ordeal with Fox.

These stories are amazing. I have problems with how some characters are acting as it appears to be that they are being mind controlled. I wouldn’t be shocked if we got Xavier, Moira, Rasputin, 60s Jean, Bastion and more. Hell even Shinobi Shaw fits into this and can free up a spot in the hellfire box set.

Also, once again the Hasbro Marketing team knows the score. They really know how to drive engagement and buzz around their products.

Yup. Whenever I see a really good price on a Diamond Select figure, I check the base to see if it's something I can use for Minimates or other figures. I have little use for 7" scale figures although the Netflix Daredevil was pretty irresistible. I'm still looking for an MCU Doctor Strange for that Sanctum Sanctorum background.

It’s stunning! Have you tried Mercari?

Looks like the SHIELD stand from the Marvel Select Winter Soldier figures.  DST could probably make a decent business selling stands and display bases for action figures of various scales.

By Jove I think you got it! Another DST figure I buy to sit in the closet as I use the diorama for everything else.

I'd argue that's because we've already discussed to great lengths what licenses we'd like to see, and having done so several times, repeating those hasn't made minimates of them appear. When there hasn't been anything outside of Marvel to be excited about in terms of product announcements I think it's difficult to spark discussion on toys many believe will never be made. I get excited fantasizing about licenses and products that I think have the possibility to actually be produced; I'm losing that excitement, especially with no new licenses on the horizon.

Here here. Or worse they appear as Vinimates.
