Thanks for the kind words, folks!

The Strange Adventures of Ostog the Unslain
by Monte Williams, on Flickr
With thanks (or curses?) to MiniMates Multiverse's own Prowl-Ar, who first turned me onto them by giving me a set of the then-new Thundercats Series 1 (which I wish I'd kept, because it's quite prohibitively expensive to reacquire them these days), here are some photos I have captured of various MiniMates toys over the years.

Great stuff, as always.
I've still got to get your BttF and your custom alien hunter back to you. Incidentally, I visited your alma mater today, although I assume it was a different building when you were there; I'll be doing some interning at the high school.

Bill, I'm going to let you chime in with the narrative aspect of your amazing custom! Thanks again for letting me photograph him! He's a beauty!

You're welcome, but when am I going to see a Hall of Armors from the couple of Universe Iron Men I gave you?
...I'm only kidding. After all trying to get that many armors all standing, even with bases, would be a total nightmare.
Funny combination of comments there, 'cause the first thing I did when I saw all those Iron Man figures was set them aside in the Keepers pile to make a Hall of Armors display... only to realize a couple days later that 1. I lack the skills and resources to actually make such a thing, 2. if such an item exists already it's bound to cost more than I want to pay and, most importantly, 3. having never had an attachment to Iron Man comic books, most of the figures only appealed to me because they're so impressive taken as a whole; remove the Hall display idea and I'm left with a bunch of figures that don't really fit my usual aesthetic.
So instead I kept just a few figures from that ginormous Iron Man/Patriot/War Machine pile. Surprisingly, I kept two War Machine figures; don't know a thing about and couldn't care less about the character, but some of those designs are wicked!
Also I've got a Series 1 Leo head, Spike, and Krang for you.Dude! You're the king.
I also have something for you. Or will have, when it arrives.

Netglow, that dio is sweet! As for filters, I prefer the tools on PicMonkey and Pixlr:

Oh man, I'm gonna have to get one of those coffins!

Damn, man, that Sin City shot is absolutely humbling. Beautiful work.

that is badass and looks like a perfect size for the tmnt mates
Thanks! It was Prowler who told me people were combining Playmates villains with MiniMates Turtles. Finally, some in-scale villains!

I misread that as "with an inexperienced DD ready to pounce on whoever exists".
I thought, "Geez, that's harsh."
Awesome backdrops! I especially like the brick wall.

Oh man, I gotta raid a Walgreen's now. Thanks for the heads up!!
My pleasure, but keep in mind they probably won't have them for a while yet.
love your photos... been following you on flickr for quite awhile now. I really like the Stormshadow, the colors just bounce out! and mumm-ra is done so well, i like it more each time i see it!
Thank you very much! That Mumm-Ra is a rarity; a somewhat older photo that I still like.

Thanks, Netglow. That last one is a Medusa head I got at Walgreen's. They've had it at least two years in a row for Halloween, priced at $20, and on November 1 it's always reduced to $10. Not bad for its size, plus it has light-up eyes and sound, if you're into that kind of thing. It's definitely long-since paid for itself for my purposes.

Very clever use of those Legos.
I've eyeballed the Hall of Armors set many times at Hastings.
Don't worry Monte, as soon as the set was marked down to $20 I picked it up so you wouldn't be tempted any longer. ;p
Honestly, I'm relieved. First off, the one I was eyeballing online is $27, so now that I know there was a local option for $7 cheaper I won't get the $27 version. Secondly, all I really wanted was Tony, and maybe some IM suit hands and feet. Most of the suits are cool and all, but I don't like the puffy look when they opt for the over-the-buck approach.
Still, you're a bastard.

We're all quite well. We've been back in California for a little over a year, and we're all liking our respective schools a lot.
