My biggest hope is that Hand Ninjas are close to the existing comic based figures. I love that the new Shield agents seem to match the previous figures in terms of colors and design.

I shot Ask DST a different suggestion, a series of hero/villain two-packs based on the classic Avengers Under Siege story. Not only did it feature the Wrecking Crew, but it also had Mr. Hyde, the Black Knight, Titania, Moonstone. Throw in an updated Absorbing Man and Hercules, and baby, you've got yourself a stew going.

Guys, suggest a comic Thor wave to Ask DST. Throw out specific classic Thor characters you can't believe we don't have. Chuck loves old Marvel Comics. I'm not saying Ulik is a no brainer, or Hela, but Enchantress? Executioner? We just announced a Master of Evil, so why not more?

Chuck always seems pretty receptive to some of the more well known (relatively speaking) Thor characters. I kinda recall him saying he'd like to see the Warrior's Three, Executioner, and Enchantress. And I would too. So, Mystery Man, let me know when you start your Ask DST push. I'll definitely let my voice be heard.

As for Thor 2 'mates, I really hope Hogun and Fandral make the cut. Hopefully they'll get additional screen time in Thor 2 to justify being in the regular assortments. Based on what's been announced, it looks like we have the potential for some good stuff: Hogun, Fandral, Heimdall, Malekith, Kurse, and Tyr. Maybe some dark elf army builders. I'm definitely more looking forward to Thor 2 'mates than IM3.

I'd like to put the bug in your ear regarding classic comic book versions of the
following Thor characters:

Hogun, Fandral, Volstagg, Heimdall, Enchantress, Executioner, Hela, Mr. Hyde, Cobra, Grey Gargoyle.

I think the Jack Kirby designs from their early appearances would be colorful, fun and compliment the existing comic-book Thor minimates. Any of these characters may or may not get made in "Thor 2" movie assortments... but the comic book versions really stand out in my mind as some incredibly unique costumes that would translate wonderfully to Minimate designs.

I'll even lend you guys my copy of "The Mighty Thor" Omnibus featuring all these characters from the beginning of Thor's stories at Marvel if it'll help. Seriously.

There are plenty others I'd like... but I'm a Silver Age fool, so that's what gets my love.

And yes, it's 10 characters... 2 more than a what a regular series encompasses. But I don't get to do the planning on 'mates... just the wishing for characters from the 1960's.

Well done for getting the campaign started MM and a very well worded question which I couldn't have put better myself - as DST will discover when I send off something very similar to them in the next couple of days!

Oh and regarding Frog Thor, ironically enough I don't feel too strongly about him compared to the supporting cast/villains as I have never read that story but I generally like my minimates the standard size and thus "proper" minimates. Since we have a 2" galactus, we may as well have a 2" frog thor in my opinion.

Or include a Frog Thor minifigure like the Puppet Master's puppets (or like the Silver Surfer that came with Galactus) where it's an accessory to another figure.

My LCS practically had to re-arrange their product placement to account for all the minimates. Walking Dead, Tekken, Battle Beasts, Marvel Best Of 2, Wave 48, a couple Halo box sets, Fear Itself box sets, a couple Marvel vs. Capcom, a couple Universal Monsters box sets. I'm sorry I didn't take a photo.

I found them in boston. Wave 48, best of 2, battle beasts and more. Price jumped up to $9.99 a set.

If you think SHIELD is not relevant in Marvel NOW, you are mistaken.

Its not though, lol. Other than the Point 1 story and, technically, the Secret Avengers, they have had a minimal showing in favor of real superheroes, lol.

Pretty sure the AOU stuff has been in development for a while. I recall a Point One issue from a while ago that had the lead in story.

Can we get a run down of what happened while the site was away? I'm worried I missed something.

I feel like this "lost week" was the result of someone traveling back in time and/or jumping to another universe and messing with the whole system. Like this past week got retconned out of ever happening.

How about a hand holding a sword in a stabbing position, where the sword is pointing forward? sort of like this:

When are these supposed to hit the stores? My first set of Rewards coupons are set to expire on Friday the 11th?

In terms of an energy blast, I'm thinking something like this

that combined elements from Cyclops optic blast

with elements of Mr. Fantastic's hand (in the way it can hold another figure) from the upcoming sets.

So the blast would come from one character's hand(s) and then after about five inches would engulf another characters chest in something like an explosion.

How about some steel girders/beams that could be held in a fight?

Also, energy and fire blasts that would come from one figure's hand and envelope a second figure?

A Ernest Borgnine minimate would best cool though.

Yup, Ernest would be pretty cool. But he needs to come in an Airwolf set with bitchin' attack helicopter and Jan Michael-Vincent Minimate.

Bring back M.A.X. MAX Astronauts would be awesome. I want MAX to be the Adventure People of 2013 and beyond. Fisher Price Adventure People for the younglings. Look it up.

Adventure People were my favorite toys as a kid, loved them even more than Star Wars figures. I also want MAX to be the new Adventure People. Of course, we will need motorcycles.

In terms of existing pieces that would fit the peter pan line, theres also the holding hands piece from aurora/north star.

But the muppets haven't had an on-screen (tv) presence since the muppet show back in 1970 (I could be off on my date). There was that flopped revamp "Muppets Tonight" but that didn't last long. I'm still waiting for MUPPET BABIES: The complete series to be released on DVD so I can watch them with my daughter.

But the Muppets movies all came after the tv show and Zach's earlier post about the Wizard of Oz suggests that the source material is from a similar time frame as the Wizard of Oz. The Muppets were on tv in an early form in the 50's but not in the movies. Zach's most recent posts suggest that it's a movie-based license.

Wouldn't it be funny if it was something like Public Enemy or Scarface (the original)? Zach did say gangbusters after all. I can't imagine either being big sellers though.

Even though they originally ran in theaters, I wouldn't consider the Looney Tunes movie-based material, as their full-legth features didn't start until they repackaged the shorts as movies in the 1960s or 1970s (right?).

Also, like Winnie the Pooh, another TOUGH adaptation to the Minimates body type.

Does this mean it's definitely a movie-based license? Are the Muppets movie-based? Much like Looney Tunes, the Muppets seem to be more television than movies.

Could it be Peanuts with the Snoopy's doghouse "sopwith camel" as the vehicle? The newspaper strip was produced in the 50s and Warners owns the video rights.
