I think Pappy means the design choice of the CGI Lizard, to which I have to agree, ASM Lizard was pretty generic.

Beyond the Gorn and Sleestaks, I'm not familiar with a lot of live-action lizard men. I just for the impression that they were staying away from the miniature Godzilla Lizard and sticking closer to his first appearance.

I can understand not liking the look but that doesn't really have anything to do with how it's rendered.

I'm more comparing it to the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park which came out, what, close to twenty years ago. The special effects for ASM took me out of the movie everytime the Lizard was on screen.

Doc Ock in the second Raimi movie, in comparison, looked great.

I put them in that order. What I felt the second Raimi movie got right was the villian and the special effects. My biggest complaint with ASM was the CGI Lizard.

Silver Surfer should be good based on the art alone.

I love the idea but wish the mates were included as a promo for a better product. The movie looks bad and as much as I want a hulkbuster I'm not buying a movie I don't want to watch let alone own to get a minimate.

Found these at an LCS in Boston. Price went up to $22.99 but still a very good looking set, feels like a lot of accessories. It's heavy in your hand.

Placed my order today as well and was pleasantly surprised the shipping/handling was still only $2.59 if you got all three.

I have no desire to keep this movie though. Is there any place you can donate opened DVD's?

Local library? Goodwill? Craigslist? Toys for Tots?

Dislike the limit to one per customer this is looking like. I'm no scalper, but I'd sure like to have a couple sets for myself.

Scalping and duplicates aside, it's gonna make it hard for the very kind US board members on here who help out the international collectors.

I would think international customers could buy the Dvd, get the code and arrange to have it shipped to a US customer who could then reship internationally.

Marvel needed some stern editorial guiding to prevent this situation before it started. Is there a long term member of the x-men that hasn't "died" I say age them up kill them off and keep the story moving. We are on to our 4th next generation of mutants now and they still want cyclops to be 35 the time between the start of new mutants and Generation X must have been retro fitted to about 6 month by now.

I don't see the age thing as a problem at all, you need to accept the sliding timescale of comics as a genre convention. I think the bigger problem is that they keep introducing new generations of mutants then after their books die off they fade into the background. Rinse and repeat.

Or they create a bad story to get rid of those secondary characters. "No more mutants."

And then they create another bad story to undo the previous bad story.

Know what? I just realized I have not seen a single Kevin Smith movie. Ever.

And I am completely okay with that.
