I still wonder why they don't put Minimates with the block figures. On the other hand, I question if they would sell any better there, since being close to Lego doesn't seem to help Kre-o or Mega Blocks all that much.

My store has the HALO 2 packs in the block figure section but has the HALO vehicles near the random section.

The random section also has SFvT 2 packs and random movie toys like 12 inch expendibles figures. Its very random.

Isn't every TRU odd?

Yeah, TRU has become a mystery to me... everything has changed. I've checked multiple stores in my area on a weekly basis and never seen a hint of wave 18 or the Tomb Raider sets. I assumed they would eventually show up but with Walking Dead wave 5 now hitting in multiple stores near me I'm not so sure. It seems TRU may have skipped western PA with both waves.

Sure I'd love to find them at sale price, but full price would have been fine too. Even if i miss them at the store, as long as I have a chance to buy them i'm good. Not having a chance and the situation seeming as if I never had a chance, leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If anyone knows of either wave showing in the Western Pa area I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

Also, what's up with all of the Minecraft merchandise at TRU lately, does that stuff sell? Not knocking it but I really don't understand the attraction, It looks like a bit-map nightmare to me. I can't see a parent buying their kid that pick axe they sell for like $20.

Shit. My store didnt have walking dead 5. Didnt realize it was out yet.

I'm still pretty upset that wave 18 and Tomb Raider havent shown up in Massachusetts, but boy 2 packs for less than $3.00 will make me spend money.

Here's the catch 22. Under another network the show would be better, because they would have to face the near constant threat of cancellation. On ABC, they've gt the whole powerhouse of mouse behind them, showering them with money. So they are relatively secure. But the show... sucks.

IDK, I have been having a really difficult time finding any television that is smartly written, not boring, and I can enjoy. Bates Motel was the last (american) show I've seen in some time that managed to hold my interest with the smart writing. Though even it had major flaws. Outside of that I've been having to import my television from Korea. Sad.

I don't remember if TV was always this bad, or if movies have gotten much smarter in recent years and widened the gap?

Person of Interest. Every episode impresses me.

Ive advocated for this before but Avengers Under Siege would give us some great villains and b-listers. We recently got Baron Zemo and Absorbing Man but there are still enough characters to complete a wave or a couple of box sets.

So almost 7 weeks since first sightings and still nothing out of the NJ distribution center (meaning nothing for greater-NY area or New England) and still nothing on the website. Are we seeing the signs of another Swordsman wave here? Don't even want to look at ebay, but I'm starting to get tempted.

Are the tomb raider sets in the same northeast limbo or is that a coincidence?

Saw this old thread and immediately thought of Dr Strange. Although not an A-list character he has been around for years and is not represented at all. There has been not even one classic Dr Strange villain released unless you count Dormammu from MvC, which I don't (don't recognize the look). Would love to see Dormammu in his classic look and Nightmare, along with Baron Mordo (who may not be as visually appealing as the other two). If you want to count Eternity as Dr Strange I'd count him as well.

A year ago I may have said Cap but I think it's safe to say with wave 54 and 18 he's covered. With the dozens of Hulks we've gotten we have almost no villains for him to fight.. no Doc Samson, and new Abomination and Leader are sorely needed. Awesome we got Maestro, though. I'd also count DD - would like Owl, Gladiator, 80's Typhoid Mary and a new Bullseye due to how hard he is to find.

Even if he came with Thor, I consider Absorbing Man a Hulk villain. I assume Robo-Hulk is a Hulk villain too.

Really? I'd always considered Absorbing Man a Thor villain. The great majority of stories I've read of him he's fought Thor. Yes you're right.. Robo-Hulk/Gremlin does count, sweet set too. Like the alternate look a lot with the classic Gremlin decal. Still pretty sparse though! Where's ZZzax and the U-Foes? Those would be awesome.

Seriously, I had seen minimates and thought about buying, then did some Internet searching, found this site, found an awards show from a couple of years ago and knew that anything that inspired that level of creativity and passion was worth checking out.

Anyone read the Lookouts? It's sporadic but I really enjoy it. KKids book about a group of young kids (think boy scouts) in a D & D universe.

What is especially frustrating is when there are two waves out (tomb raider & marvel 18), your local store doesn't have either and the second closest store can't tell you over the phone if they carry it or not then one day you make an excuse to be in that area and go and they don't have either. So you drive home with nothing. There were times recently where I had things to buy but then got frustrated and didn't buy anything.
