but Ask DST for a white Elektra and see what Chuck says. ...We haven't made one, right? If Chuck says no, I will paint my Elektra white and mail her to you.
Any chance we’re getting a white costume Elektra?
DST Chuck: Not in 2013 I am afraid. -
Not sure if this is new but there's design sheets for the TRU wave and it shows Picard having an alternate chest block for a standard red uniform.

Well, this thread is tainted...
You have the power to save it.
Post pics

Yeah, I tried ordering from TRU.com when Firelord / Airwalker went up again and I got another email saying noooope.
-
I was going to say...the Space Dive set is the only one that doesn't list the names of the characters....
-
If Chuck says no, I will paint my Elektra white and mail her to you.
Tempted to do this, but I'm wondering if you'll just use the white-out at the office. Which, I'd still be game for.

Well, as an early birthday present I finally picked up a set of Series 2 and I had some pretty distracting QC issues
First up is Punisher. His white gloves and boots are...blued and pretty dirty. Also he has a wicked scratch on his face and it looks awful. Another thing, his pistol doesn't fit in the holster, which isn't a huge deal but what's the point of a holster then? Especially since the Wave 14 TRU Punisher has the SAME pistol that can fit in the holster.
Next up we have Hulk, nothing too bad, he had limbs falling out all over but I dabbed a bit of super glue on him. He still has full articulation at least. The weird problem is the sloppy paint job.
These pics aren't the best so bear with my griping, but here's Mr. Fantastic, notice the yellow paint specs on the hair. Again, super easy fix with a dab of paint, but I've never had QC issues before and now I'm making up for it apparently.
Last up, another minor problem and easy fix, Loki. His helmet is dirty, and it wouldn't come off, needed a slight dab of paint. That's very unbecoming of you, Loki.
I didn't picture Daredevil but his right knee joint is loose and if you just hold him and tilt, he will do a one legged dance. Also, Doom was dusty, as in he literally had dust that I had to wash off. The figure is perfect but that was one of the strangest things I've ever encountered. I'm literally going to buy another set though, for parts and because I'm a sadist and it's almost my birthday don't judge me.
That being said, I love the series and they should do one, once or twice a year. Don't let this discourage you!

Just ordered....! Wish me luck because I realllllllly want these.

I'm a new collector, and this, along with a few other TRU packs, I've kinda told myself stop worrying about because of the rarity/price. That's a great find though.
That being said, why not throw it up on the trade thread? I'm sure you could get something for it.

This opinion is always unpopular, but I still maintain scalpers make up less than 1% of the less than 10% of the collector's market. The rest are kids. That number may be slightly higher with Minimates due to LCSs, but not by much in my experience. Years in the TF fansdom has taught me that people who can't face their own emotions need someone to blame, so they trot out "Scalpers" as a scapegoat that appeases their tiny egos.
Which may have just thrown my entire argument out the window, because this place totally isn't like that. And if Shane says scalpers in his area, I trust him on that. In may area it's kids. Though I have to say for the past 6 months no one is buying anything. At all. :/I totally agree with this, but in some instances it's scalpers, and in my case I was flat out told by a TRU employee that another employee scoops stuff up for resale.
-
I should post this in the TRU 15 thread too, but one of the girls at my local TRU told me her coworker scoops up minimates and Marvel/Star Wars exclusives, anything that he thinks is worth something and he sells them online.
He also returns stuff he can't sell, which is probably why my TRU is backed up with Wave 13 and 14. So wave 15 literally might pass me by unless I pay the markup on ebay :/

Would anyone be up for an army dump of 16 figures made up of four different chracters? For example:
4x SHIELD Agents
4x Brood
4x AIM Soldiers
4x Kree Soldiers
Think of it as a "Best of" army dump, if that's even a good idea.
Replace Brood with HYDRA, and you've got yourself a deal.

No one said the Rose

Rare or valuable, some of the hardest and most expensive mates seem to be from TRU. Bullseye, Angel, Warpath, Hulkbuster IM, ect.
Maybe there should be a 'Best of TRU' wave then hmmmm?
-
Well that certainly changes things.

I just got back from a TRU in San Diego. I forgot to take a picture but it was a depressing sight.
No sign of any Wave 15 stuff, a few wave 14, TONS of Wave 13 packs, the whole set, some ASM sets, AvX.
I just got my cancellation notice on the Airlord-Firewalker set too, and I don't feel like paying $20 :/
-
You know, I was going to say I got my TRU order yesterday and it was beaten to hell, packages were torn, smashed and just awful looking. That's partially why I made this topic.
-
Buttheadsmate- There's a severe lack of barns in San Diego, near the beach, in my apartment.
I guess I can see flattening the boxes, but I don't know if I'd still want them without the trays.
hellpop- That's very direct and a valid point.
I guess I'm going to look at ikea and pottery barn or some other tacky store to see if I can find a storage solution. Keep flooding in responses guys! I want to know what everyone is doing now that collections are even larger than a year ago.
-
Ok, so I know there's already topics about this but none are recent. And as self aware addicts, our collections can grow VASTLY in size over a few months, recently with Walking Dead, Marvel and everything else coming out. So I'm a brand new collector but already I'm having to figure out what to do with all this packaging, and a small San Diego apartment isn't helping me out any.
If you keep your boxes, in any form, please tell me why.
If you throw all packaging away, please tell me why.
If you keep trays but not packaging, or whatever variation, please tell me why.
Also, if you use some mass storage cases, link me, I'd love to see some cheap, roomy alternatives to the official storage cases.

Hmmm Onyx, your picks are pretty close to mine but I had a few differences.
Psylocke/Elektra
Jean Grey/Storm
Black Widow/Spider-Woman
Invisible Woman/She-Hulk
My runner-ups were
Ms Marvel
Mystique
Kitty Pride
Jubilee
-
I'd like to get a "Best of" Invisible Woman in her original costume to match the Mr. Fantastic from series 2.
Along with the Thing from the first series.
-
Calling it now, Best of series 3 will be all female. Let's see your picks.

If I don't find these in San Diego soon, I'll have to muscle my way in when I move back to Northern California in the coming weeks. I'm hoping I'll be lucky in the East Bay and South Bay but sorry if I muscle in on anyone's territory on these TRU waves. Sucks that I have to start over and figure out which TRUs are good minimate stockers. But more importantly, whose territory I am invading...
Hmm, you're in SD too? I was going to check some stores tonight but from the sound of it, nope..
