Cool thread. I agree with a lot of the suggestions, notably morbius, mysterio, ms marvel and ultron.

I would also add into the mix the first taskmaster - good comic likeness of a classic villain with a lot of accessories for its time; balder the brave - a good representation of a classic supporting character (though I am a big classic thor fan and there's not been much to get excited about lately in that area so maybe some bias here! lol) and yellowjacket - rarely mentioned but he looks great. Oh yeah, and secret invasion beast - leaving aside his "green" issues he captures the look of the era he originates from superbly imo.

Wow, those really are amazing customs! Yes, that second (old) team are the ones I would love to see released in minimate form too winkerbean, though I agree that even the modern team would be very welcome in their comic forms too!

And I'm with ya both. I'm just more sad that all the movie stuff means we have no new comic characters at all to look forward to...

Wow, I never knew this show polarised opinions so much! My wife and I just kinda sit down and watch it and find it quite funny, now I'm gonna be thinking so much more deeply about it lol. As for the 'mates, they are very welcome to me and I think the likenesses on the prototypes are among some of the best I've seen on "real life" minimates, I just hope the final product looks as good!

No wolverine, deadpool and venom - I'm liking the sound of this wave more and more! lol

As for the final personnel, like others have said I'm thinking luke cage, iron fist, grey hulk and hawkeye look very likely at this point. Also spiderman (probably black) and some sort of iron man (maybe hydro) look odds on too. That leaves one more "already made in a best of wave figure" which I'm thinking maybe a thor (about time we got one with Donald blake parts) as he just had a movie and we have just had a cap wave, and one "new" best of figure, which it seems the smart money puts on human torch - though personally I'm still rooting for classic falcon to take advantage of his movie/cartoon appearances!

Wow Luke, just saw this. Your creativity and diversity never cease to amaze me! They look very cool, being honest not really my thing (prefer not to think too much about what lurks in my insides - a bit squeamish like that lol) but I can definitely see a market for them. I would echo what others have said in that names based on puns/wordplays would make them more marketable/give them more of a "brand" and there have been some great ideas suggested! I certainly hope they are successful for you and I don't see why they wouldn't be.

A very worthwhile thread! Certainly can't say too often how great Luke has been to me over the years, both officially through his store and even moreso through all the other help he has given me! I hope his store continues to do well for many years to come and that all the innovative accessory ideas etc keep flowing!

The only reason that matters from the point of view of what I was saying is that the fact they haven't reached the "official announcement" stage yet means the time to them (or anything else comic related) coming out seems very long after waves 54/18. However, for the record I wasn't complaining, sometimes I like movie 'mates too, I just much prefer comic ones and so like having some that I've seen to look forward to.

Out of interest do I assume it was the foes of spidey/xforce sets that were shown at a panel? I hadn't heard that if so.

Yeah these and wave 54 look great but as it stands after these we don't have a single comic marvel minimate to look forward to that's been shown or even officially announced! I can't recall when the last time was that happened, if ever? Let's hope it's rectified soon or there's gonna be a long gap...

I also agree she is a great minimate. My only slight issue with her is she is a little tall, but she is a very welcome addition to the roster and my far my favourite figure from TRU17. (Though the mecha-hulk/gremlin is also very cool.)

I'm with you on the rhino and kingpin - they were very welcome! Along with nick fury, absorbing man, lizard and abomination they were my most wanted updates - thus it's been a good time for updates lately it seems - just need that abomination now!

Yes I agree, in general I would much rather see some of the unmade classic spidey villains made than updates - it's actually been a surprisingly long time since we got a new iconic member of his rogue's gallery, aside from morbius of course. Having said that, I'm pretty excited for this set, especially the lizard/Curt Connors and Doc Ock!

Nice pic Zach. I must say I was pretty unexcited for this set based on the theme/characters but the alternate looks and especially the thunderbolt ross have me feeling much more enthusiastic about it!

Seems a pretty cool line-up character-wise. Shame no agent 13 - I would have swapped her for black widow as we have a few movie versions of her already, plus then I could have started my "Revenge" display too lol. Other than that an interesting group of characters as movie waves go though.
