Some cool ideas there. Anyone got any thoughts on a suitable hairpiece for a helmetless odin out of interest?

Always enjoy seeing polls (I miss the one in the "most wanted new marvel mate" thread) and I voted for "can't wait" for this set. However, tbh a 4th category saying something like "will want to buy it when it comes out but not super excited" would probably have suited my feelings more. I like the look of the designs but I wouldn't say I can't wait since I get much more excited for new characters, however I will happily buy it, assuming it ever appears.

Love the idea of a set like this. With a mixture of (minimal!) realism and hopeful wishlisting my choices would be:

Enchantress (much needed thor villain and fits the theme perfectly)

Medusa (if we don't get her in the current FF waves not quite sure when we will)

First appearance Black Widow (a semi big name after the avengers movie in a cool retro costume who again fits the theme perfectly)

Mary Jane or Black Cat (probably much more likely to sell with a spidey connection!)

However, I'd be pretty happy with most of the choices mentioned in place of either of those last 2 tbh.

Fear Itself is one "look/team" I would not mind at all if DST did not complete. So many other things I would much rather see then Fear Itself.

While I too agree that there are lots of figures much higher on my wishlist than Fear Itself 'mates, I actually really like the designs so would still be happy to see more worthy. Although not their iconic looks, I very much doubt we would have a Grey Gargoyle or a Sin of any sort without FI and if we also got an attuma and/or titania out of it that would be a big bonus for me.

Firelord/Airwalker

Worthy Hulk/a fairly high profile Mighty character (maybe Red She-Hulk)

...just got to thinking that the Heralds poll "losers" might be a better sell if they were split & paired with A-listers.

That swap could make sense actually. Of course, if (and it's still a big "if"!) I did get it right I kind of cheated by having 2 guesses in one go!

Yeah I thought it was really good too - preferred it to much of last season and very impressed and surprised that I didn't see a spoiler that would've spoiled a real surprise in the episode!

I think one of the things that makes this wave hard to fathom right now is the "character research" post on DST's facebook last week that includes some FF characters but also morbius, blade and a few others. The question is whether or not they are ALL to do with wave 15, and my guess is not. With that being the case I have 2 sets of guesses for wave 15 now - a hopeful one and a probably more realistic one!

The hopeful one is:

Thing/Annihilus

Franklin with Herbie/Medusa

Firelord/Airwalker (a certainty I think)

2 Mighty or Worthy (maybe Attuma to fit the FF theme and Absorbing man)

My more realisic one is:

Thing/Annihilus

Fully flamed on Human Torch/Silver Surfer

Firelord/Airwalker

Worthy Hulk/a fairly high profile Mighty character (maybe Red She-Hulk)

I certainly hope we get a morbius soon (he's by far my most wanted unmade spidey villain) but I'm suspecting maybe some kind of monster boxset since Zach says wave 49n isn't planned yet. Certainly hoping wave 15 is shown soon though!

Just got these - have to say I'm really impressed with them, but especially the worthy set who all look fantastic in my opinion! It's great to get a set of 4 villains and I would love to see the rest of the worthy made (as well as a regular grey gargoyle) to complete the set. I just hope that them being released so long after the story doesn't harm sales and thus put DST off from all villain sets in the future!

I will be amazed if toad doesn't appear next year, since he didn't feature in Zach's poll for wave 50 despite scoring very highly on the MMMV "most wanted" poll. Same goes for blob (and morbius) I believe.

Series 50 is legit. I polled characters we had no plans to make, and none of the losers have been scheduled yet. Art has been created for just the winners, plus one just in case.

I'm intrigued, just in case what? Oh, and back to the main topic, any idea roughly when we might expect to hear the official results for this poll?

Yeah, the Lego Vamypre Castle looks fantastic with 'em... and I can't wait to get the upcoming Lego Haunted House to do as well. I may even try to flesh stuff out MORE and get a pyramid for the Mummy and put together some kind of lagoon scene for the Creature and a forest for the Wolfman.

This is my favorite line of minimates, no doubt about it.

This is one of the reasons why being a member of this board is such a great thing. I didn't even know about the lego stuff so thanks for the ideas. Assuming they are available in the uk I will have to investigate them.

Oh and these are my second favourite line of minimates. They are great but nothing beats 616 marvel for me.

As for the packaging, I think it looks really neat too... but I have to open mine up to pose and display. Right now I've got a Lego Vampyre Castle with everybody around it, plus some other "monster" type characters. The Library Ghost and Titanic Ghost from Ghostbusters, a "Halloween Boy" custom from the book "Dark Harvest", a custom "ghost" made using Jogger Ghost and the thin Scolari brother parts, and others.

That sounds a really cool way to display them - love the lego castle idea. I guess I've never really found the space/inspiration to work out the best way to display them loose to do them justice. However, maybe this new bunch coming out will finally make me try something new with them.

Yeah I love the universal monsters sets - particularly looking forward to the mummy set! I never know whether to keep movie sets in their box or not though. They usually look really cool in package but generally I think it's nice to actually pose minimates.

I think we'll be showing them off soon.

Sounds interesting! Kind of intrigued as to whether that refers to designs or to actual figures? Hoping it's the latter! Oh, and great news that Odin will soon be mine! :biggrin:

Thanks for the pics Zach, and for doing them so soon after you got hold of them! Rhino is still the stand-out for me in this wave, but loving the alpha flight pack too.

I totally see the points that both sides are making on this. However, amidst all that I also think it's worth saying what an awesome set of customs they are and I for one would love it if DST saw them and decided to make a couple of boxsets of that exact team, maybe with a badoon or korvac to round them out! That way, everyone (or at least me!) would be happy!

Having some camera issues right now (to be precise no batteries!) so I apologise for you having to imagine this one, but I'm currently looking at the oldest and newest red daredevils next to each other here and I must say the wave 43 one is a BIG improvement in my book.

So sorry to hear about this. It certainly puts life in perspective, and yeah, I find it very hard to imagine going to see this film right now.

Well, it was a thankless task to expect to please all the people all the time with the results because there were just too many cool and diverse characters in it. However, I'm about as happy as anyone could realistically expect to be from it. Two that I voted for got in (songbird and zemo) and the variant that I most wanted is being made since I wanted WW2 zemo more than the more modern one so I couldn't believe my luck on that!! I also placed novacorps and ghost rider fairly high in their categories without actually voting for them so I'm happy enough with them and I'm not unhappy with onslaught either. To ask any more than that would just have been unrealistic so overall I'm really happy with the results and thanks again for doing it Zach. I would like to know where the other characters came in the lineups though - any chance?

Thanks for the coverage. Lots that I'm pleased with here: the Alicia Masters variant, Songbird and Zemo winning the poll and most of all for the choice of WW2 Zemo for the variant!! :biggrin: Great choice DST!

Yeah, I don't know how this has happened as I've got a little less than zero knowledge of thundercats but these look so great I'm actually looking forward to them almost as much as the upcoming marvel releases! I can only imagine how excited actual thundercats fans must be!!
