So great to see the site back! Seemed weird not being able to check out what was going on here. Not knowing about the facebook page either, I really hope everyone's gonna repost their comments from last week here now so I can see all the opinions on the awesome reveals...

For me there are lots of things I love about minimates. As a primarily (but by no means exclusively!) marvel fan, like a lot of other people I really like the chance to get so many relatively obscure characters and the chance to complete so many teams/villain rosters. I also like their uniformity and even though there are still so many B and C list avengers and thor characters in particular that I want to see, there are figures in this line that I've never seen elsewhere. I also think the number of releases per year is great because you are never too far away from an announcement or speculation over the next release. Their small size is also a major factor since otherwise I would simply have no room to display that many figures!

Oh, and even though I'm relatively new on here and don't post a huge amount I'd echo what others have said about the MMMV. It's a friendly and interesting place that I visit daily and a day like today where there is nothing much being said on the marvel pages is rare, but even then you still get interesting threads like this.

Yes, I'm relatively new to posting on the site but it's a great place and I hope everyone has a great new year, with at least some of their top minimate wants fulfilled!

Well it took a while (3 weeks!) but glad to say I now have successful personal experience of international shipping from TRU! :biggrin: Also have to say as many others have that I love this set. Scarlet witch is the standout for me and shows why updates are sometimes a great idea, but I even really liked the cyclops who I had no interest in when he was announced.

Me too. Don't know why but it just wouldn't work for me when I tried to order wave 14 but it SEEMS to have worked this time. Guess I'll wait and see...Do any international people remember if you get a dispatch update or anything or does it just show up in due course?

I just wanna know what comic Iron Man stuff they'll release at the same time. Movie stuff is fun to watch and I like getting some of the figures.

I'm with you on that one! The movie's are great but as much as anything because they give me hope for seeing more comic based supporting cast/villains for the likes of iron man and thor.

Best wishes for the journey and the new start. These things can be real scary but also unexpected opportunities can often turn out to be the best.

That would be my choice. I much prefer the comic waves to the movie waves and I always feel like there are relatively few new characters in movie waves once you've had one for a particular character. For example, having had 2 iron man movie waves plus an iron man in the avengers movie wave, I'm not expecting more than a couple of figures to excite me in an iron man 3 wave, though of course I may be wrong when I see them! On the other hand, movie tie-in comic waves like wave 36 or TRU12 are much more what I like to see. I think as long as they contain new characters like wave 36 as opposed to many versions of the same character they should do well. I certainly hope to get a proper full wave containing new characters to go with both thor 2 and captain america 2 as they are a bit more spaced out in their release dates this time.

Looks an overall great wave to me and I was always very grateful for the chance for fans to vote. I'm sure there are some characters here that we may not have got otherwise, notably songbird and ww2 zemo - my 2 favourites! The nova looks great too. Let's hope these sell well as the idea that Zach mooted of maybe a fan-vote boxset in the future if it does would be cool. Would be curious to know if we will ever see the voting order for the characters that didn't make it though and if not if there is any particular reason why not? Would like to know what that black knight's chances are...

Me too - although the "best of" waves aren't necessarily aimed at long term collectors I'm pretty excited for the updated loki!

That is reassuring news in the long-term, though for me in the short term, despite yours and winkerbean's kind help yesterday I still hit a stumbling block on the shipping address. Still, I'm sure the reply from the email that I sent TRU 48 hours ago (that I'm still waiting for despite them saying they reply within 24 hours! lol) will clear it all up!

Having heard such promising stories, I thought I'd experiment and try ordering one set to come to the uk. It all started well enough till I got to the "address" page and after I put in the billing address it wouldn't let me tick the circle saying ship to the same address and only gave an option for US shipping - even though just above it on the same page it said the uk was ok!! Did anybody else have this problem and if so I'd appreciate knowing how you got round it?

Don't know why but it seems harder to find news/images from this con than usual. Anyway, very impressed by most of the marvel stuff! The more I see of the accessories/extras with wave 48 the more I like it - and I liked it a lot to start with!! Also pleased by TRU wave 15. Although they were the worst kept minimate secret in a looong time I especially like firelord and airwalker, and although I've not seen a very good picture of them yet I'm well pleased to see annihilus in there, and that human torch looks like he may be the best yet!

The strange tales boxset probably remains the highlight for me of what we have coming up, while the hulk set looks cool. The only thing that I'm not personaly excited by is another wolvie through the ages set, but I get it, he's popular and has a movie next year, so I'm pleased for those who like him. Hoping we will see the final line-up of the AvX TRU set at the panel and maybe designs for wave 50.

Thanks for the pics - rhino looks as great as I expected, as do the alpha flight ones, and I'm actually liking storm and havoc more than I expected seeing the new accessories etc!

Damn, got me all excited when I saw you had posted straight after me Zach, thinking you were going to say I'd cracked it and officially reveal the wave...

I do agree though that the worthy (in particular) and mighty designs are cool and I for one would be happy to see more, especially if we got characters like attuma and titania out of it.

Oh, and by the way Nessex, I also hope my first guess was pretty much right as I really really want a medusa but I'm sure it's probably the second one. Nonetheless there's still a lot to like even if it is the "realistic guess"!

Worthy Hulk/Mighty A-ish Lister (maybe Red She-Hulk)

I'm thus guessing that the character pack swap coiuld well mean that firelord and airwalker are split (or possibly the thing and torch swap over) while the single character change that Zach alluded to could either be annihilus (no real evidence for him) maybe to be replaced by Psycho Man as Zach is "psyched" for this wave, or red she-hulk for pretty much any other Mighty or Worthy. I'm actually guessing its the annihilus that's wrong, mainly because it's just too random to guess a different mighty/worthy, but we'll see (hopefully soon!). Of course, I'm probably more wrong now and should have just basked in knowing I was closest...

Love this set, this is the era of marvel comics that I like best and particularly loving morbius - he's one of my top wants and couldn't look any better! Thanks for the reveal on here too Zach!

I have to say, it's rather annoying that "the year of the Avengers" has passed without us actually getting much in the way of new Avengers characters. I count Ant-Man II, Grim Reaper, and Kang, and that's it (apologies if I've forgotten anyone). Meanwhile, among the X-Men alone we've seen (or will see) Dazzler, Longshot, Mirage, Magma, Rictor, and (shudder) Boom-Boom make their Minimate debuts. Just feels like a missed opportunity.

I feel pretty similarly actually. While I was very happy to see kang, grim reaper and scott lang, I had high hopes for some B list avengers this year and was surprised at the number of B list Xmen we got instead. That's not to say I'm not pleased to see those characters and some (eg dazzler) were long overdue imo. It's more that if we don't see the likes of swordsman, mantis, moondragon, hellcat, mockingbird, tigra, etc in this year it makes you wonder when we ever would. Certainly a West Coast Avengers boxset, including mockingbird and tigra would be very welcome.
