For those of you not finding TRU Doctor Strange, look around. They weren't with the rest of the Minimates at my store. They're on an end cap with Turtles and Ghostbusters stuff.

When it boils down to it, there's two types of IM villains. People who are jealous of Tony Stark, or people who are given weapons by people who are jealous of Tony Stark. And for some reason, The Mandarin who doesn't fit either theme. I have such a soft spot for all of the Iron Man villains, I think they could all "work" in any context. Movies, cartoon, comics, whatever. You wanna fight Iron Man? You need some cool tech. Cool tech can be upgraded or modernized for any era.

I honestly feel the only reason Iron Man's rogues never get more than C-list recognition is because IM has never had a long "cool" critically acclaimed run in the comics and he's never had a decent run in other media (that used his villains). The movies don't use his rogues and the cartoon, while loved by me, is honestly pretty terrible. Batman and Spider-Man have decades of multimedia appearances to get people familiar with Joker, Venom, Bane, Electro, etc. What does IM have?

I just recorded an Iron Man podcast but it was for the period slightly before that one (Denny O'Neil stuff). We're still editing, but it will be posted at the beginning of the new year. I'll share a link when I get the final.

As an OHOTMU guy I love the fact that you did not one but two Blizzards. And whoever designed Shapanka definitely used his Update 89 profile pic as reference. I marked out for that.

2016: Pretty awesome year for Marvel Minimates!

Squirrel Girl sets have been claimed. I will keep my eyes open for more Wave 3. Distribution is all over the place for these.

I guess these aren't as rare as people thought they would be? I'll try not to be too obvious, but, ahem.....

If anybody CAN'T FIND A SQUIRREL GIRL set and wants one, please let me know. I will DO MY BEST to get one in your hands.

We do Adopt-A-Child through Salvation Army where I work each year. It's nice because they give us specific interests for each kid (usually two per year) and we collect a whole bunch of loot. The kids in the program have to be referred to it by clinicians so without our help they likely wouldn't receive anything for Christmas. 

Favorite Minimate?

Stilt Man. Then, now, forever. He checks off all the boxes for me. Lower tier villain. Never made elsewhere. Goofy gimmick translated perfectly to toy form. Gets better the more of him you buy.

I've made this offer to a few people so I'll post it here:

Does anybody want to go halves on a case with me? We would each get nine 'Mates and one would not get a Silk. One of us would get the Silk from the case. The other person would have to buy or acquire a Silk and we would split the cost of the additional Silk so it's even, down the middle.

Said person would have to have good trade feedback, etc. PayPal a must. We would have to work together on finding that second Silk for a reasonable price. I stress reasonable.

I figure this would help alleviate the sting of the three per case 'mates. Whoever did not get Silk would end up with the extra since there are three 3-per-case characters. Since these will probably be the most abundant on the aftermarket after the deluge, I figure it's not really a big deal who gets what (at least to me it's not).

PM me if this is something you would be interested in doing.

If a ticket costs ten bucks (give or take) then you would need to see the movie more than ten times to save money.

I'm not one to judge what people do with their free time or money, but yikes. I know Star Wars fans are obsessive (I used to be one of those crazies), but that's pretty excessive.

Does Walgreens have an in-store price check? Or any other method of price check?

Somebody else mentioned that sale too, looks like it's not an isolated incident. We're they actually marked that way?

BTW, I switched the hairpiece for the one that came with Avengers #1 Wasp. That's the Squirrel Girl I remember from GLA, I'm not familiar with the new one. This piece matches the mid-2000's version perfectly.

I love her! And she comes with not one, not two, but THREE squirrels for ADDED FUNtm. I checked my other three Walgreens for you boardies but they're still choking on series one or none at all. I'll be on the lookout...

I could go either way, the thick line underneath makes it look like a tampo. But the photo makes it look 3D like a separate piece?

That Cage head piece begs redo for a comic style Power Man. Or custom. Sweet! (Christmas)

DST in general has been doing a slam-dunk job on their Marvel box art as of late.

Can this please be moved to the Crisis of Infinite Minimates section? This has nothing to do with Marvel.

Of course it wasn't Series 3, instead they had all gone backwards and gotten in Wave 1.5 . One store even got in multiple cases of 1.5

Not sure how it is done, but the distribution of minimates at Walgreens is horrible. It's so much easier to find the other Walgreens exclusives such as Walking Dead, ML & Star Wars.
