Mmao that setup is incredible!
How many bases is that?
I have 16 total. 9 back walls (the ones with more detail) and 7 side walls (the flatter of the two).

Yeah, I agree. That setup is amazing. Can you use the same base as walls, floors, ceilings? Are they interchangeable like that?
The floors double as ceilings, but the walls aren't interchangable.
And I'm glad you both like the setup!

Danger Room: Blue Team session

Was going to review The Expendables figures, and in the middle of photographing them, I stopped and set this little scene up. Thought it was worth sharing...
Good LORD!!! That is the HOTNESS AB!

Loving that Danger Room set up MMao. When are we gonna see a full on X-Men training session photoshoot?
Thanks man! And hopefully soon!
I don't have my entire 90's Gold team lineup completed yet. But Blue team's ranks are filled!
Maybe I should get to work on some teamwork training sessions. lol.

I think the best place to buy these are off of ebay (about $60 for a set of 6 when I bought them). Or even better, second hand from someone else.
they can get REALLY expensive though. Especially for the more hard to find sets (#007-010). All of the ones I bought are #001-006.

I'm glad everyone likes the Danger Room pics. And good eye in spotting the model kit skeletons Sherbertice! lol.
As for what I used for the backdrop, they are Kotobukiya chain bases. Its the same thing I used in an earlier Bishop pic...
They are pretty great as backdrops, and their versatility makes them even cooler. They can be configured in a lot of different ways. Here are a few shots...
I don't think they are in production anymore, but someone is producing KOs of them that you can find on ebay and other places. I have a few of both the originals and the KOs (you can see the difference in color in one of my pics above)and they are of pretty similar quality. Even the kit skeleton came from the accessories that come with the sets.
I'll try to snap a few more Danger Room pics in the future.

This pic (as well as the stand) is just SUPER cool!
Hey, thanks BHM. I'm glad you enjoy SOMETHING I contribute to this forum.
On to other things, this thing right here? This thing is amazing. Way to go Luke.
GREAT pics of Daredevil right here man!
I love that Black Widow! I need to get one of those hair pieces. The heralds pic is awesome too, Geohound.
Here are some of my pics of Daredevil
Snapped a few pics of my newly acquired 90's Beast in a session in the Danger Room...

I really think that the WWE line and a line targeted for girls could be a smashing success.
I also liked the idea of 4 packs of iconic movie characters. I don't know why, but a Minimate Scarface immediately popped into my mind.
I also think that maybe tying in to more video game franchises would be good to try to capture more of the currently young, while bringing in more of the 80s chartoon franchises for the eternaly young at heart.
And finally, I agree that the posability should be more emphasized as a selling point. It's what got me interested and a big reason why I am still hooked.
Please, for the love of God, no blind boxing please. I don't want to have to buy a box just to guarantee one mate. Although my brother is like Kreskin w/ the Lego minis. I agree with Punisher about expanding the 2/4 packs, I'd like to see a once/twice a year 10 pack with mix of classic ( or redos) and new mates with a lot of accessories (shields, armor, guns, stands, blast effects). Or an accessory pack. I loved those as a kid from MOTU & ARAH. I'd like mini play sets even generic ones, a lab, or one with a large computer screen or the Danger Room. I regret not buying that from Luke when he had it.
Does anyone have pics or more info on this?

Ghost Trap from GitD Slimer
Nicely done!
Crap, that is awesome!
I now NEED to buy one of those!lol.
Ikea now producing affordable housing, presuming you were planning on buying six drinking glasses:
Extremely cool find!
And my little contribution to this thread...

Picked up one of these from TRU for all of the accessories. TONS of weapons to help arm my Domino, and Deadpool could always use a few more guns.

Anyone with in hand pics of the Thunder Tank? I've got this set and the Tank sitting in my PoL at BBTS and I am just jonesing for more pics of these!
-
Looks like a great start to a very cool thread. Nicely done!

Cool! That works pretty good. Never thought of trying that.
Here's a pic that I posted in another thread of a MP scaled TF Roller that is pretty compatible with Minimates...
Also, I can't vouch for the size of these, but I was wondering if anyone knew how these would scale with Minimates?
I think the moon crater and city street bases would look pretty sweet with Minimates. If they scaled right of course.

A seller on ebay has her set and the Magma New Mutants sets in a lot, but those are the only sets I've seen out yet.
Ooh... Do you have a link?

Thanks for the info. Probably gonna be a while before it hits here in the islands anyway, but still good to know.

Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated.
Is there a release date for that wave, or is it out already?
Also, any variant pics? (different hair piece or w/out epaulette, etc.)

Such a GREAT thread!
Nice pics everyone! Very much enjoyed seeing all of the display bases and such, as I am trying to figure out how to display my collection.
Keep them coming!
