  1. Mmao that setup is incredible!

    How many bases is that?

I have 16 total. 9 back walls (the ones with more detail) and 7 side walls (the flatter of the two).

Yeah, I agree. That setup is amazing. Can you use the same base as walls, floors, ceilings? Are they interchangeable like that?

The floors double as ceilings, but the walls aren't interchangable.

And I'm glad you both like the setup!

  2. I'm glad everyone likes the Danger Room pics. And good eye in spotting the model kit skeletons Sherbertice! lol.

As for what I used for the backdrop, they are Kotobukiya chain bases. Its the same thing I used in an earlier Bishop pic...

They are pretty great as backdrops, and their versatility makes them even cooler. They can be configured in a lot of different ways. Here are a few shots...

I don't think they are in production anymore, but someone is producing KOs of them that you can find on ebay and other places. I have a few of both the originals and the KOs (you can see the difference in color in one of my pics above)and they are of pretty similar quality. Even the kit skeleton came from the accessories that come with the sets.

I'll try to snap a few more Danger Room pics in the future.

  3. This pic (as well as the stand) is just SUPER cool!

Hey, thanks BHM. I'm glad you enjoy SOMETHING I contribute to this forum. tongue.gif

On to other things, this thing right here? This thing is amazing. Way to go Luke.

GREAT pics of Daredevil right here man!

I love that Black Widow! I need to get one of those hair pieces. The heralds pic is awesome too, Geohound.

Here are some of my pics of Daredevil

  4. I really think that the WWE line and a line targeted for girls could be a smashing success.

I also liked the idea of 4 packs of iconic movie characters. I don't know why, but a Minimate Scarface immediately popped into my mind.

I also think that maybe tying in to more video game franchises would be good to try to capture more of the currently young, while bringing in more of the 80s chartoon franchises for the eternaly young at heart.

And finally, I agree that the posability should be more emphasized as a selling point. It's what got me interested and a big reason why I am still hooked.

Please, for the love of God, no blind boxing please. I don't want to have to buy a box just to guarantee one mate. Although my brother is like Kreskin w/ the Lego minis. I agree with Punisher about expanding the 2/4 packs, I'd like to see a once/twice a year 10 pack with mix of classic ( or redos) and new mates with a lot of accessories (shields, armor, guns, stands, blast effects). Or an accessory pack. I loved those as a kid from MOTU & ARAH. I'd like mini play sets even generic ones, a lab, or one with a large computer screen or the Danger Room. I regret not buying that from Luke when he had it.

Does anyone have pics or more info on this?

  5. Woo! Daredevil!

    INCENDIARY!

    Ghost Trap from GitD Slimer

    Nicely done!

Been meaning to take this pic & share for a while...

The ML sentinel works really well with minimates and lives on my somewhat messy desk with various x-men trapped in it's giant mechanical paws depending on my mood!

    T.

I now NEED to buy one of those!lol.

Ikea now producing affordable housing, presuming you were planning on buying six drinking glasses:

    Extremely cool find!

And my little contribution to this thread...

Cool! That works pretty good. Never thought of trying that.

Here's a pic that I posted in another thread of a MP scaled TF Roller that is pretty compatible with Minimates...

Also, I can't vouch for the size of these, but I was wondering if anyone knew how these would scale with Minimates?

I think the moon crater and city street bases would look pretty sweet with Minimates. If they scaled right of course.
