  1. Here are my Gold and Blue lineups...

I'm using the Dark Magneto Wolvie, I prefer the brown costume too. But I really like the new Brood-verine' s claws, boots, etc. better, so I currently have him going berzerk a top a BAF Sentinel. The lifts in his boots aren't noticable when he isn't standing next to other MMs.

I also am using the blue tinted Iceman in this pic. I liked the look of him and he was cheap and easy to find (for me at least). But I intend on grabbing a frosted Iceman at some point.

And I'm liking how that green Phoenix is looking in that group shot. Might try to grab one of those as well.

Are there any easy to do customs for Forge and Banshee?

  2. Ready? You made your choices? Fantastic! What to do next:

PM me (Bob Harris) and provide me with
    - NAME (of each custom, and in case of the Best Box Set / Team /Series of 4+ category also the name of the series like "Doctor Who")
    - CATEGORY (like Best Marvel, Best Sculpting, etc.) and most important a
***- LINK (to a picture/custom thread entry incl. pic)***
for EACH of your nominations! That's important!
Please send all your nominations in one PM!

So am I reading this correctly, I need to start a thread before I submit an entry?

    Beefed up Ol' Mac Venom.

I combined the Giant Size X-Men Colossus and Wave 47 Colossus to make an updated Giant Size X-Men #1 Colossus. ,As nice as the Wave 47 version is, the proportions really bothered me. Here is the recipe:

    - Head, Hair, Wristbands, Hands, Tunic, Waist riser - Wave 47

    - Arms, Legs, Crotch, Chest, Boots, Belt - Giant Size Boxset

I trimmed the metal detail away from the Wave 47 tunic piece, and also removed the belt and glued the Giant Size belt to the tunic.

WOW. These both look really good guys. Well done.

  4. Not sure if this is doable or not, but how a bouut a new mini gungatling gun mold?

I know there has already been one (from the T2 line I believe), but could you remold it to be... more BADASS, for one.

But secondly, and most importantly, could it have two grip points that were designed specifically with the Minimate's articulation in mind? I realize that making a figure actually hold a gatling gun (from the provided/realistic grip points. similar to a chainsaw's handles) is quite difficult, but if a gatling gun were designed specifically with how the Minimate itself is articulated, I'm sure it would be possible to have it be held with both hands.

I bring this up because I just found this gatling gun fram a crappy War Machine figure I found at Ross...

As you can see, I had to have the off hand kind of cradle it from the bottom. It would be great if it could be made to have a grip on the side of the gun. A place for the off hand to hold it.

  5. Great suggestions so far!!

Could I request one of the Iceman slides you did, but cast it in clear tinted blue?

Yes but it would not match the blue iceman exactly. I have a limited range of pigments available, and at the volume of resin I am mixing, the amount of pigment I would use for something like this is damn near microscopic, so there isn't much room for error. I will give it a shot though. :)

Sounds great! I appreciate the effort.

  6. Just grabbed these guys from TRU and snapped a couple pics...

DD pic is kinda cruddy. Was trying to get a sense of perspective. I'll give it another shot latter. Also, the string that connects his weapon together keeps coming untied and it's DRIVING ME NUTS!!!

I gotta say, I like Punisher a lot though.

  7. Those Danger Room pictures are fantastic.

    Thanks man!

Okay, what are those walls you are using for the danger room? I may be the only one who's not recognizing them, but wow they look good.

Also interested in where the Danger Room setup comes from. Those shots are bad a$$

These are Mechanical chain bases from Kotobukiya. I believe that they stopped producing them, but there are KOs of them on the market that are pretty much the same quality, just a slightly different shade of grey. I bought most of the ones I have off of ebay for around $60 shipped for 6 pieces. I hope this helps.

And glad you like the shots!
