  1. I'd love this idea! And related to a couple of your ideas - a Thor set with Rogue Thor, Storm Thor, Robot Thor and Thor Frog. :)

Not to mention, a What If set would be a great way to sneak a Watcher into the minimate world.

    What if tta:

    Alt spideys

    Flash Thompson

    Betty Brant

    John Jameson

    Aunt may

    Alt ff

    Mandroid

    Ultra woman

    Dragonfly

    Big brain/mr. Fantastic

    Rouge as Thor

    Doom as sorcerer supreme

    Venom as punisher

    Storm as phoenix

    And there's always marvel misfits

Golden oldie (aunt may as a herald)

    Marrow

    Obnioxo the clown

    Spectacular spider kid

I love these ideas! How about an "original Marvel bullpen as Fantastic Four" set? Great way to get a Stan Lee minimate. And if only they could do my all time favorite What If re-imagine... "What if Conan the Barbarian were trapped in the 20th Century?" well, he started a street gang, became a pimp and fought Captain America! Pimp Conan minimate! :)

  3. A few more, for the troop builders.

"We Need You!": Skrull, Kree, AIM, Hydra (or Atlantean)

"Jamie's Bad Day": Sentinel, Hellfire Guard, Brood (or another X-villain troop), Multiple Man (X-Factor classic costume)

Each troop set could come with either 4 alt heads, or 2 different torsos ( male, female, battle damage..,)

Marvel at the Future: Iron Man 2020, Deaths Head, DoFP Logan, DoFP Kitty

    Deathlock the Demolisher, Hulk 2099

But I really want the Wrecking Crew.

How could I forget Deathlok! Definitely needs to be in there!

  5. Asgard: Warriors three, Heimdall

Marvel era 70s: disco dazzler, fro Blade, Falcon, Shang Chi

Marvel monsters: Zombie, Werewolf by night, Frankenstein, Dracula

Marvel at the Future: Iron Man 2020, Deaths Head, DoFP Logan, DoFP Kitty

Iron Avengers (see Avengers Next cartoon)

    Guardians of the Galaxy!

  6. I lucked out and managed to get the my Sentinel sets today. Unfortunately, I didn't see them until I had bought the Taskmaster set from TRU's ebay store. I watched them after that, and I think they were all gone within the hour, while the Taskmaster sets didn't appear to move at all. Never saw the Redfield set come in stock.

I have 10 Jamesons. One is mine, the other for said board member. I don't mind having all those newspapers, but I'm not sure what I'd do with eight blue suits, lol.

Some ideas... Matt Murdock, Det Stan Carter, Peter Parker, prof X, Beast, comic Spirit, Clark Kent...

  8. After getting my set, I had to sit down and actually read the original comic story. So, whether intentionally or not, DST gave us something really cool with this set. In the first issue of the series, JJJ, Det. Stan Carter & Matt Murdock ALL have on the same blue suit! Maybe the tie was different, but the same nevertheless. So with the extra heads and/or hairpieces included in the sets, with extra JJJ sets, all three can be made! Plus, now that I see the SHIELD connection in the story, they make sense in the wave.

Funny thing too... After I read the story, I sat down and watched the first story arc of the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon. Guess which characters popped up in the closing credits? Jean DeWollf & Stan Carter. I guess I had no idea they were in that series as well.

Fantastic job DST! This has to be one of my favorite waves to come out. I'd personally LOVE to see more waves focused on classic story arcs like this, with all the cool little things thrown in. Having started reading comics in the 70s, I found this pulling me back into the classic days of old school comics with great stories & art.

I think now I need a Robbie & Betty to complete the Bugle's roster. :)

Brock ended up getting cancer due to prolonged exposure to the symbiote suit. So, he auctioned it off, and a mob boss (Don Fortunato) bought it for his bitch of a son Angelo Fortunato. Well, the symbiote didn't like him so it dropped him to his death in a mid air swing. Then the suit went and found Gargan (Scorpion) and he basically let the suit control him completely. The dude was like a million times more monstrous than Brock ever was, actually went around eating people.

Well, eventually he was caught and turned into a Thunderbolt then a Dark Avenger. After the "Siege" event the government removed the suit from Gargan and made an attempt to militarize it with the former war hero (and leg less) Flash Thompson. Flash basically accepted the duty to get back in the field and also have temporary legs whilst wearing the suit. However, Flash is on a strict time period to wear the suit during missions, if he is in the suit for too long it takes control of his body and basically turns into what we know and love as Venom (like big bulky huge tongued Venom).

Now, where is Brock you say? Eddie is currently Anti-Venom. Apparently, remnants of the symbiote were still in his blood stream and reacted with his white blood cells when Mr. Negative got all negative on him. So, Brock is now cured of cancer and has the ability to basically cure most ailments and can also turn off some superpowers.

Wow, cool. Thanks for the summary! I had no idea about most of that, especially Flash. Really looking forward to the set!

  10. I'm not really familiar with any Venom past Eddie Brock other than passing knowledge. That said, a bonus pack-in of a venomized scorpion tail would be nice for that previous release. Can anyone give a condensed history of the Venoms? Is Flash current? Haven't read comics in a while, probably since around Civil War timeframe.
