Disney/Marvel just don't seem to want good Marvel cartoons to survive. Foolish, narrow minded tunnel vision. Spectacular Spider-Man still holds up as one of the best, and yet they couldn't give it a second thought. I fear for Avengers future.

Correct me if I'm wrong... but didn't Uncanny X-Force Angel's prototype image show silver claws, despite the fact that he came with the normal hand.

That's what I would like to see, rather than fingers... the suggestion of fingers.

In fact, I thing movie Sabretooth has these too?

I would like to see small grooves within the 'ball' type hand... that would be the ideal middle ground for me.

I had to check mine, but my X-Force Archangel has the silver claw hands. And yes, movie Sabertooth has them too., as well as Marvel Zombies (I think).

Captain America box art is what they supplied. You may see it pop up elsewhere like that -- not sure when they created it.

Dude!! Thank you for posting this! I found this version as well at my TRU (I posted a few pages back, but couldn't find my camera). There was one of these, but 2 of the regular one. I haven't been able to ID the face as yet. I'm glad I'm not the only one who found this!

Had a look at his toy store after looking at today's revelations. Hill is gone, and the Chitauri set is the normal 7.50 or so. Anyone know how long it has been that way? Ordered MH from him a while back, at the same low (non variant) price.

I ordered in March and Maria was 7.49, while Chit General was the 11.99 variant price.

I take him signing for more movies is that he'll be in different non-Hulk movies as Banner (kinda like how Samuel Jackson signed on for more than one movie, but there's no Nick Fury movie planned).

Yeah, I guess he does sort of, but it is how he looks in the movie (& he looked GOOD in the movie).

If you want longer hair for Thor, Menace's works pretty well, in a Point Break kinda way.

After seeing the "REDACTED" named in the first minute of the movie, with zero fanfare, gasps or fainting women, I have to say the secrecy over the name, and appearance, really seemed 100% pointless. They're redshirts.

Now that I think about it more, I really think wave 50 is so significant, that Stan Lee is a must! What better way to celebrate 50 waves of Marvel than with Stan "the man" Lee himself? I'd love a street clothes Stan with extra Spidey parts to make Stan in costume. There could even be an extra Peter Parker head to have both options. There could even be a variant bathrobe Stan!

I love the idea of Marvel Monsters first. But also, wouldn't mind seeing the following "themes".

• "Collection Complete" a wave of previously hard to get minimates(X-Factor Angel, Warpath, Spider-Carnage, AIM, early variants...) with minor tweaks or upgrades. Meant to fill the "holes" in collections for those who have been diehard fans through 50 waves.
• "Welcome to the 90's" a wave of the oddball 90's characters. Darkhawk, Sleepwalker, New Warriors, Gideon, 90's Sunspot...)
• "Starjammers"
• "Brotherhood" (Blob, Toad, Scarlet Witch, green Quicksilver, Vanisher, Mastermind, Avalanche, Mystique, Rogue, Irene)
• "MIA" the missing members that would complete various previous teams (Songbird, AOA characters, X-Force Nightcrawler, 1st class Beast...)
• and this may or may not be cool, but for wave 50, but make the 2-packs based on the best issue #50 covers that have been throughout the Marvel years.

Zach, is Thor's armor permanently like that or is it just pushed over? It looks skewed right (or left, in the pic) in every shot, figured i'd ask...

I think mine was just warped. Hopefully it's not widespread, as mine was a packaged sample. Did I never post packaging pics? Dang.

Mine was warped to the side as well. I was able to remove it and straighten it somewhat, but I don't think it will hold unless I heat it and set it. Overall though, that's a minor thing. These sets are pretty spectacular.

Found these today on the pegs! My TRU also finally stocked the crossbones wave too. Now here's the weird thing. I saw Hawkeye with two different faces (not counting his extra head). Of the case, there were two with the face that matched the package art& pics, and the other I just can't ID. I'm sure it's just a factory switch, but I bought both faces anyway. I'm still trying to locate my craptastic digital camera so I can post a pic. I tried it with my 1st gen iPhone, but you really can't make out the details. Basically it's Hawkeye with an open mouth slightly worried/ surprised look. Hopefully I can post a pic this weekend so someone can ID it for me.

Had an exceptionally great weekend/days off. While I didn't get to work on minimate customs I was able to track down my bishop parts and put him together today- along with X-Man. I should have those done by the end of the week. In other news....

As an early b-day gift from my wife (and thanks to some great deals at my local Meijer store) I picked up an iPad.

Plaining around with it (for quite some time) I started reading some comics and have officially decided:

My goal is to do a clean sweep of my entire comic collection and only re-buy/download the issues I know I'll reread again. Plus, my friends have the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Avengers comic cds from awhile back that now thanks to iCloud I can view as cbz files on the iPad.

I've been using Comic Zeal app on my iPad since I got it. Perfect for sorting cbr & cbz comics into virtual "boxes" and reading lists. So far, it's the best comic reader I've used.welcome to virtual comics!

Maybe Kang will be in a box set with Koloth, Kor & Kirk. For the next campaign, might I suggest Kazar, Shanna, Zabu & Stegronthe Dinosaur Man 4-pack!

I must not have heard what you were hearing, youbastards -- only one or two people asked me for multiples, and I never once heard anybody say anything about reselling. A couple of people reached for the bag thinking it was self-serve, but I chalk that up to confusion, not greed. The only people who GOT more than one were those who were picking up for specific MMMVers or for an MMMV giveaway.

Well, that's a good news/bad news for me. Good news that they're not being scooped up by the fistfuls. Bad news that a friend attending was going to pick up a couple for myself and a friend. Not sure how successful he will be. Hopefully he'll score a couple...

I really, quite genuinely hope there isn't some big secret villain . . .i think.

We've got a lot of plot in this film already if each avenger is to be done justice. Plus Loki's story. Plus the invading horde of aliens.

Plus - we'll never a MiniMate of the main villain if it's anyone other than Loki. He'll/She'll be relegated to the halls of missed time-frame minimates that never were like Armoured Whiplash & XMFC Banshee.

I am honestly fine with no Final Battle Whiplash (I like the racetrack 'Lash & comic Crimson Dynamo we got) or First Class Banshee (I'd rather have 616 Sean).

I am not fine with only having Volstagg. I prefer the movie versions of the Warriors Three, and not having Hogun or Fandral upsets me as much as toys (or lack thereof) could.

I agree wholeheartedly! Somehow, Volstagg, Selvig and T-shirt Thor just don't measure up as the Warriors Three.

That's actually one of my favorite Iron Man minimates. I even took the neo armor waist piece and added it to give him a slightly more balanced bulk. Plus if you pull the boots out a little, he's taller than other mm too. And he has a big honkin gun. You can't go wrong with a big honkin gun.
