I stole the pic from some guy's auction on eBay. And I've noticed that almost all of the characters with vests or bulky chests have head warping on the ones I've gotten. I'm guessing the heads were pushed down before fulling hardening.

I wonder how civilian Thor would look with that chest piece. Do the blues match?

I was counting accessories that actually came with mates. If Fury or Wolverine ever come with Cigars, I will be very happy.

X-23 cause she was Wolverine, and got cloned. Ultimate Spider Woman by those same standards.

One of the earlier Thing minimates came with a cigar. Probably the easiest accessory to lose out of all that have been done. Kingpin had a cigar too, but he never inhaled.

I didn't want to create a new thread for this, and wasn't quite sure where to post it, but since this is the MvC3 thread I figured it fit alright here...

So this is my Hulk... he has two left hands...

Here's why I'm posting. I bought a second set of Hulk & Haggar to hopefully replace the hand and low and behold... it also had two left hands. Furthermore, I contacted Diamond, sent them that picture, and asked them about a replacement hand, and they sent a pair (kinda) and I thank them for that... but what I got in the mail was, low and behold again... two left hands, lol.

Now I know the difference is subtle and hard to notice at a glance, but it IS there. My standard Bulked Up Hulk, as well as my Red Hulk both have a right and a left hand. The finger grooves are symmetrical when viewed from the front, unlike these. There should (in theory) be a right and a left.

So here I sit now, on two MvC3 Hulks, with 6 left hands between them... two hands FROM Diamond, AFTER I sent them that pic, lol. And I can't help but wonder. Do Right Hands for MvC3 Hulk EXIST?

I mean, I suppose it's possible, that because the difference is so subtle, only one hand was sculpted for this particular figure, and in fact, all MvC3 Hulks have 2 left hands. Problem is I have no real way of knowing with such a small sampling. I mean I only have 3 total "pairs" *Shrug*

So I came here to ask my fellow minimate collectors, could you all please do me a solid and take a glance at the hands on your MvC3 Hulk...

Does ANYONE out there have a right hand?

Should I continue pursuing this, or am I chasing a hand that doesn't exist? lol...

I just checked, and indeed mine has 2 left hands just like yours. Mine also has 2 right thigh caps. Never knew...

Those fantastic "Hex" hands would be very close to "Web-Thwipping" hands without the hex-bolt...

Well, in this case i'll just say that Battlestar Galactica, Rocky, Beverly Hills Cop, and Godfather are still on their way. Those rad Tony Hawks too. But, "whatever, man."

Except those properties are over. No media tie ins. DC is still going strong, with movies, cartoons, direct DVDs, comics, and merchandise. They have a continued presence that could warrant revisiting a property such as minimates. The JLU line "died" many times over the years, yet there's still 3-packs coming this year via mattycollector, long after its many deaths.

Just my 2 cents...

Just a few of the ones I consider "best of":

• Iron Man: MvC
• Thor: wave 44/Disney 4-pack
• Cap: Heroic age 4-pack (I think, the light blue one)
• Hulk: Defenders
• Wolverine: "Best of" wave
• Spiderman: no idea, they all have so many different looks. But I do prefer the ones with Peter Parker underneath a mask.
• Other suggestions:First appearance Avengers box set + TRU 1st appearance Thor + Heroic age Cap + "best of Iron Man + either Hawkeye + Vision, Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch = classic early Avengers team.

I like the X-men 1st appearance team as well.

So many choices, it all really comes down to personal preference. But you're almost certainly guaranteed duplicates at some point.

So yeah, I'm sure this got us all going into our closets again. I'm jealous of several of your pics, Rob. Particularly the Spidey Max and Symbiote Spideys. Torment me with the Torment Spideys and I'll start making fun of your age again!

And Rob, did you ever see this before? I still have the letter and square envelope DST sent me on the Venom tongue promotion. The first time I felt that DST honestly cared and they still do to this day.

Wait, is the yellow blank considered rare? I've had one in my collection for a while. I either got it in a bin at a toy show or a flea market, for a quarter I think. Not bagged, just loose.

Expendables just came out too. A specialty market 4-pack, and the tru 4-pack. I think more are scheduled for this year.

I haven't read AvX yet, so most of these are lost on me. So between Scarlet Witch and a new Iron Man armor, I went with the armored Avenger.Plus, if I've read correctly, there are 5 members of the X-Men band, so if only 1-3 get made, then it's pretty weak representation, even if I'm not familiar with the story arc.Kinda strange choices which lead me to believe there's some more companion sets planned along the way.

Give me a 4-pack with comic Volstagg, Hogun, Fandrall and Heimdall and I'll be happy.

I guess in general I've been more excited lately about getting new characters like comic Aunt May, Lang Ant-Man or Maria Hill than Masterson Thor or AoA Sinister. But, looking back a bit, hound Rachel Grey, WWII Wolvie, trenchcoat Thing and the various Angels and Archangels were pretty great. And going way back, old school variants like frosted Iceman, crystal Emma, Invisible Woman, Stealth Iron Man, Black Spidey... those were some of my favorite mates for a long time. So I don't know, I like both.

I like making lists of things, and your post just inspired me to do this for no good reason, lol...

Series 16 - Bearded Thor - I never really felt I needed him. But at least he's fairly different looking from normal Thor.

Was the bearded Thor variant supposed to represent Eric Masterson as Thor? I just recently noticed the similarities between that one and the new one.

Thoughts:

According to MMDB the SDCC 2003 Yellow MIB is still the only 'english' packaged item that I'm aware that's missing from my MIB packaged collection.....in reality I'm therefore missing a label

I enjoy the packaged MIB 'mates but I of course love handling/posing loose stuff ,I have 2 Silver Spideys & 1 Gold Spidey(I have sold as many) none of which are packaged .Despite my OCD I fail to see why adding a plastic/numbered bag with a number on it would :

a) give me more pleasure

a) entice me to pay a fortune for a bag

Cylons : These guys are a bugger to pose & leave on display & considering the fact that I always keep everything that is loose in a ziplock I rarely get them up for a pic ....out the bag in the bag blah blah blah.

15,000 Minimates ? I'm not sure ...if you consider that there are perhaps 1400 different Minimates & I have in most cases at least 6 of each & in most cases more (than I'll say) then I reckon I'm there

C3 ? Oh boy oh boy !!!! Now that's the line I put my shirt on & very nearly lost it Is that the line with the rare Martian Manhunter ?.....I'll see what I can do.

Maximates ...most Sentinels I ever had at one time was 8 but 2 went with me to SDCC 2010 & another got sold around the same time .....I'll do that one soon.

Here's a few precious little 'mates ,some are probably valuable on the open-market whilst some are valueless . One or two are priceless however & have memories attached to them ... esp.the Thor custom that Timbo gave me at SDCC 2008 . No spoiler required with these ........

It's all very sobering to think what some of those guys at the DST offices must have .....I hope they lock their doors .

First off, everyone that's been crapping on BHM and his collection... just stop. It's his money, his collection, his business. Rob's been a stalwart of the Minimate collecting community for years and is a stand-up guy, and he doesn't really need guys with less then 100 posts here questioning him. He's handled it gracefully, but I think it's pretty rude.

Second, requests... I'd be curious to see your DC Direct and C3 collections....

Well, I have less than 100 posts so I hope you weren't referring to me. I was relating that I've had the same collecting habits with different lines, and not criticizing or questioning at all. If anything, I'm just the same.

I mentioned this a few pages back, so I figure with the new wave 48 FF talk it's worth re-visiting my choices/predictions.

I'm really thinking waves 48 and 49 are Fantastic 4 and new Uncanny(to compliment the AvX set).

Well, Spider-Man, Cap, Thor, Avengers have all had recent waves. X-Men, Daredevil, Hulk & Venom are all part of upcoming stuff. That leaves Iron Man(also represented in the Avengers' waves), and Fantastic Four. Thing had recent minimates, but the rest are due upgrades, possibly in blue/white. Mister Fantastic(new SS arm)/She-Hulk(F4), Thing (F4 tank w/pants & boots)/Johnny(new flame on pieces), Invisible Woman(sleeveless w/4 cutout)/Moloid, variant Sue as Malice/Moloid.

Tru compliment set: Gorgon/Triton, Medusa/crystal... Or Karnak.

I used to be the same way with Joes (and still do to a smaller extent). But once I did the math in my head as to what I could get back on all the duplicates, even AT COST, I realized I could have other nice stuff... like an iPad, an HDTV...steak... floor space... so I started parting out a lot of dupes. Haven't looked back either. The cleaning out is now an annual event.

Well, several of those I'm not familiar with. I'm old school... So I went with Madrox and Warwolves. My Excalibur team really needs Warwolves to harass them.

Besides, having Madrox would really solidify chances of Guido & X-Factor.
