Why is everyone trying to figure out how to make Khan's jacket into something else?
I'm more concerned with everyone's recent use of the descriptive "hot sex" to show excitement over toys...
-
I'm wondering if there are any new Tony heads under the armors. Or maybe a Sabbath T-Shirt print under MK7.
-
I thought the space suit Wolverine was based on the old Toy Biz Space Suit Wolverine figure which I thought was based on the 90's X-Men cartoon version of Wolverine in a space suit.
I'm looking forward to it. Anyone who may be disappointed - throw Ben Grimm's head on it and call it a day... Just sayin'

Am I the only one who would like the end-credits bonus character in the box set? Seems like a lot of people might like that one.
-
Looks like all 4 sets are in stock now at tru.com.
-
Looks like tru.com has 2 of the 4 in stock. Which two is anyone's guess though...
-
Picked up my set in NC today too. Looks like they just put them out today.

Leather jacket zombie looks like he has a tribble hand.

I just eventually want a ST:TWoK Kirk with snarling "KHAN!" face.
-
Great idea! I think I prier the black. Any chance that the underside would have some recessed pegs that could accommodate something to act as a riser, so that you could tier them when displayed?
edit: just read thru and saw the tier idea was already suggested.

Star Blazers. Minimates.
-
But which ending will it continue from? The post-apocalyptic Ash-over sleeps-by-100-years, or "present" day Ash-back-at-S-Mart-saving The girl from Deadites?

I'm really glad you guys like the line.
Here's Scorpus' bio:
Battle Beast Scorpus
Species: Scorpion
A nomad, Scorpus wanders the desert robbing and stealing, and uses his size and strength to take what he needs. He and Vorin once crossed paths, and Scorpus lost their battle; he dreams of the day he will get a rematch.
Very cool! Thanks for posting!

Hey Zach, has the correct Scorpus bio been posted anywhere? I know here was a copy mix up on the package, and was just curious to the original bio. A search here yielded no results, so I don't know if it's been posted here.
Out of the 5,695 minimates that have been released in the last two months (give or take), I find myself going back to BB over the others, even all the F4 goodness. Anyone that hasnt picked them up, I recommend giving them a try before they're gone.

Hopefully people who bought the first Glenn won't buy the second Glenn, and you will have a better shot.
Imagine if this logic was applied to Marvel mates.
So that's why I keep seeing all those Gamma Hulks/Hulkbuster sets pegwarming. Everyone already had an Iron Man and Hulk!

The figure has already been renamed, at both places. They come out next month, which means they ship from China this month. Packaging file is at factory, painted samples are in my hands... changing the name from Sauron to Reaper was the LAST thing we did on these. Nothing else can be done at this point.
Sorry guys, sometimes an awesome dinosaur is just an awesome dinosaur.
and sometimes an awesome dinosaur is a base for a custom Battle Beast! Don't care about Sauron H. Reaper but Sleestak J. Warmonger will be fantastic.

Wow, I haven't seen Mars Attacks figures in a TRU since the last movie line came out many years ago. Didn't know there were new ones.
This is what I call a trip through Shane's crappy local TRU.
We begin with the section that seems to be more adult oriented stuff like horror and video game collectibles. This store always looks like an earthquake just hit, so bear with me.

My favorite is really the inclusion of accessories to make different versions of characters or even a different character. Big value, and reason for me to buy multiples.
Least favorite, which applies to Marvel, is the packaging. I wish we could see everything in the package instead of just part of the figures, mainly because of QC issues. Most problems can't be seen until it's opened. Better than the sealed boxes, but worse than the early waves, IMO.

I'm not sure if he's considered a hero, but I doubt D-Man will ever get made.
I'd have to go with Falcon for the overlooked, with Honorable mentions to Banshee, Sunfire, Black Knight, Crystal, Medusa and Speedball(yeah, I went there).
-
Wow, you make me want to buy another Rhino set now. Fantastic idea!
-
Anyone think the Aliens line will debut with a SDCC preview 2-pack? Or is it too early? Maybe something thrown together that doesn't need new parts - like Burke and Gorman.
As far as the 2.5" rule - it seems like BB Gruntos may have broken that one already, or come close.
-
Sorry MrClean, I'll be sure to add Spot to the next poll I have planned.
Intentional...no. But the irony wasn't lost on me.And not fair having the Wrecking Crew listed if you can only pick three!! Cold blooded....
He have easiest accessory ever. A round stand molded in black. Throw in a Puck hand for him to hold it in front of him.

Spot, oh Spot. Wherefore art thou, oh Spot? Even ToyBiz acknowledged your villainy with a 10" figure.
-
do you have a link of which ones you use ?I use the $4 storage bins from walmart, where you can adjust the trays. With 12 slots, I can fit 4-6 minimates per slot, withnaccessories. It's also ideal for Joes or other 3 3/4" figures.
Here you go.

Thief of Thieves
in Indie Comics Minimates
Posted
Never even heard of the book, been out of comics a while. But I may try a digital #1 just to see what it's all about since it rates getting a minimate set. I'll buy it, even if it's just as zombie survivors.
