  1. I wonder if this is also true for animated versions?

    Chris P.

What are the chances of getting a Stan Lee Minimate? I know you don’t
pick up licenses just for Minimates so you could roll out a few
different Stan Lee products like a vinyl bank and an updated 8″ classic
retro style figure. It’s just that we have all these great Marvel
Minimates and yet we don’t have the “face” of Marvel Comics to join
them. I know I’d buy several so I could create all of his Marvel movie
characters. Perhaps a convention exclusive 2-pack of Stan Lee and
Spider-man or a box set of Stan Lee in some of his most memorable movie
costumes (“Hugh Hefner” from Iron Man, the security guard from Winter
Soldier, hot dog vendor from X-Men)? Thanks! Chris Polansky

DSTChuck: Chris, we did ask Marvel if our rights to the movies
did include the characters that Stan Lee has played, and we were told we
were not cleared to do product of him, so sorry, it’s a no-go for now.

  2. I bought my first Trek minimate product this week when I ordered the enterprise on Amazon. The seller was selling it for 13.99 the Classic one. It's pretty cool. A little hard to put together cause I was worrying about breaking the pegs but once I did its pretty cool.

I picked up that one from Target last year (They apparently still have it on their site right now for the same price)

  3. Scarlet%20Spider%20Minimate_zpstgizbmh4.

Scarlet Spider! I've wanted one of these but with some sculpted pieces. I really only had to paint all the sculpted parts. I'd prefer to use a Scarlet Spider head or Ultimate Spider Woman head, but I don't have access to either of those right now, so Ultimate Spidey head will have to do

    Head - Ultimate Spidey

    Body - TRU Daredevil

Gauntlets - Cap 2 Black Widow

    Hoodie - Rocky

    Belt - New X-Men Cyclops

Ankle Pouches - MAX Underwater Rescue Knife sheaths (Cut and painted)

  4. I had a slightly different experience with the Turtles. I saw them at K-Mart once (No idea if they were ever restocked as it was many months later that I was in the same store again and found one tossed on a shelf) I was lucky enough that the one time I found them at k-mart, they were all there. It doesn't help that I only have 2 K-Mart stores near me and both are a 30 minute one way drive to get to them

As for TRU, I saw them at two different TRU's once each store. I missed Leo the first time, but was able to grab him the second time. It's helpful that there is one TRU in my town, one 30 minutes away and a 3rd about an hour away

Then Comic stores, I have about 4 comic stores in a 30-40 minute radius from me and only one even got the Minimates in (Most don't even bother with Minimates anymore sadly) and the box they had was already picked through. If it wasn't for Luke's, I wouldn't have the Muta Raph figure

  5. After having a particularly crappy morning/ afternoon, I stopped by a local TRU to see if they had these. I found a peg loaded with Rick and Negan packs and a lone Ezekiel pack... No sign of Andrea to be found. I thought it was strange that she was cleared out but not Ezekiel. I looked around and noticed a gap between a few Planet of the Apes figures near the back of the shelf. On a whim I reached back there and felt a Minimate box. Pulled it out and found Andrea.

Needless to say, that put a huge smile on my face. It's amazing how Minimates can brighten up your day.

I think that was the case with one of the TRU's near me. Showed up on a Friday and one Ezekiel out of the whole case was gone, hit the TRU in the next town to grab another Ezekiel a few days later when they got their case, the very next day I show back up at the first TRU and now they have an Ezekiel, but have clearly not gotten a new case in.

It all worked out though as the second TRU had the new TMNT Turflytle figure I'd been looking for. If I hadn't gone to the second TRU, I wouldn't have found it.

  6. Or an entire wave with all Spider-verse characters like:

    Spider-Gwen/ Peter Parker Spider-Man w/ Spider-Ham (rocket raccoon esc.)

    Spider-Hulk/ Spidey 2099

    British Spidey/ Ben Riley Spidey

    Were-Spidey/ Man-Spider

    And tons more!

I would take this whole wave.....even in blind bags

  7. Am I ridiculously lucky, or ridiculously unobservant? I've NEVER had a Minimate that was broken or flawed straight out of the package. I've only ever had a couple break on me, ever. I see all the posts about replacement parts and it confuses the hell out of me

I think I've only had to contact customer service three times. Nothing ever broken, just missing/wrong parts. Had two left (or right) arms once, a missing saw blade and I believe a missing belt on another figure

  8. I like the Walking Dead and I missed the joke too. Seems a moot point as it sounds like you're getting a replacement part. in the meantime you could even use a regular black arm piece if you have any spares. At least it wasn't a specific part that couldn't be easily substituted

  9. Got two of the sets (probably the repeats in the TRU wave) Drake/BD Alien and Hicks/Ripley. Looking at the Pulse Rifle/Flamethrower combo, I noticed it's reversed from what's seen in the film (MM Acc: Flamethrower on right, Pulse on left, Movie Flamethrower on left, Pulse on right)

I'm curious if the accessory was based on some promo pics or something or if the designers just thought it looked better with the flamethrower on the right. Or maybe no one really noticed and figured it didn't matter? smile.png
