  1. If anybody is remotely interested.......my first rollerblades were purchased about 17 years ago which isn't that interesting unless you go-figure how old I was when I bought them .blink.png

Amongst the stuff I've found whilst shuffling around in my 'hoped for house-move' are my Bauer blades ....... for the right incentive I'll post a picture of me gliding on them . laugh.png

Edit : No historic pictures .........."I will glide" .

I just did the math......I think I got mine around 22 years ago ohmy.png (I get the feeling I was probably younger than you though :) )

  2. Most of the Gamestops around me had a lot of these. When the clearance price was $2, two stores closest to me had 30 each figures. Back in January or February, I bought a few and the clerk told me I was the first person they'd seen buying any, so there's a good month and a half of product possibly not being bought. by the time the clearance price hit 97 cents, many stores around me still had 10 or so figures at each store. So I'd say, in my area at least, these were not good sellers, but I doubt it was the blind bag issue alone that made them not sell, I noticed that there were very few (if any) of the blind boxed Transformers vinyl figures left (which were still priced at or above $3 each)

It's not just blind bags some stores shy away from either. I know a couple of my LCS typically don't even buy cases of Minimate two packs just because they know they'll be stuck with product. They usually only buy the 4 packs because they can buy one or two and not a full case.

  3. Vampires glide, I don't know. I had Heelies when I was younger (around 2003) and went to Canada with my cousin for a hockey tournament. While I was in a clothing store I was rolling around and noticed I was being stared at. My aunt asked what the deal was and the cashier told her that they all thought I was a vampire (didn't see the wheels) because I was gliding/ not taking steps. I guess I just associated that memory with the Prince gif, I'm sorry for the confusion haha

I used to get the same reactions back when I wore rollerblades :)

  4. Does anyone have any good techniques for separating the head/mask pieces? I want to try different eye and mouth expressions, but can't seem to pull just the top part off. I end up removing the whole head every time

heat up the head (I use a hairdryer) that'll soften up the plastic and the glue. Then, using a small flat tip screwdriver, you can pry the top of the head off

  5. Just doing part swaps, there aren't many heads that look like they'd work well Even with a knit cap on top of them. Maybe the MVC Super Skrull

Best bet would be a green head with a sticker for the face (or if you're really good at painting faces)

  6. Thanx for the compliments guys!

The backgrounds were made from a few different playsets. The one in the Alien review was the Big Millennium Falcon

The Aliens sets were mostly the Aliens playset from Treehouse Kids (It's 3 levels tall and comes with army men styled figures, also where the Aliens eggs in the pictures came from)

Sometimes I'd use another piece in the background with the Aliens set like the Marvel Select Falcon backdrop in the picture with Hicks sitting on the floor and Ripley making the flamethrower/pulse rifle. The Apone picture is using a part from the Wheeled Warriors base sitting in the Aliens set

Most of the Drake pics were in the Wheeled Warriors base (This is also the set that I have Ripley walking out of in the Lego Powerloader I made)

I also have a small box of random accessories and such I toss into my review pictures like boxes from MegaBloks Halo or GI Joe and such

  8. My LCS appears to have gotten in one case, I was surprised that none had sold by the second day when I went back for the Jubilee pack. I'll probably pick up another Banshee pack for customs this week. I've been getting parts together for when my three sets come in the mail

  9. I meant to post that I don't know if that's just for the store I was in or a nationwide clearance that may happen on Sunday

How have these sold in other areas? I think I'm the only person who has bought any at the store near me (in fact I was told this months ago by one of the employees) Yesterday I picked up 10 figures and there were still a lot left over

  10. These are down to 1'.97 at GameStop stores. Took one labeled 3.99 to the counter scanned 1.97. Got a bunch more. Have an extra Ashely if anyone needs her and wants to trade.

Stopped in today and there were a bunch listed at $1.97 The cashier said on the 24th all the items in the collectibles box these were in would be going on clearance and that they may go even cheaper

  11. I wasn't collecting Marvel Mates when the SDCC X-Men set came out so I missed out on a proper 90's Jubilee figure, with the wave 60 figure I decided it's time to make a 90's body for the head (because I'm not paying $30 for the official one) I was able to mostly just QC the body together with minimal paint

The painted parts aren't exact matches to the unpainted parts but they're pretty close and look fine in a group shot for me.
