  1. I imagine the blue one will do the same as the grey one. Over $100 during the con and about $30 BIN a month or two later

That statement is completely unfounded .

I just figured since both the blue Vorin and grey Vorins are retailer only exclusives, the blue one would be about as plentiful and would follow the same after market price changes the grey one has undergone.

  2. Since the blue Vorin is a retailer exclusive like the grey Vorin was, I'm guessing the giveaway will be a different translucent Vorin. Maybe green?

I wouldn't mind a fully painted vorin like the 2 pack but using the mold with the cape up

  3. I have to assume Lion O will have his glove and this group shot are prototypes since the lines on panthro's face are darker than the previous picture, Mumm-Ra's face is slightly different (The wraps are right up against his eyebrows instead of slightly above them like in the previous pic) also Mumm-Ra and Panthro don't have their accessories in the new pic.

I also have no issues with this set save for 1.........Luke doesn't have it up for preorder yet! :D

    "Battle Beast Giveaways!

Every morning from Thursday through Sunday, when the doors to the show open, DST will be giving out 200 individually bagged promotional Battle Beasts Minimates, to celebrate the release of the first Battle Beasts Minimates 2-pack and the unveiling of the Series 1 prototypes! They’ll be given out only while supplies last, so make booth 2607 your first stop of the day! And while you’re there, enter to win a custom Battle Beasts guitar and guitar case, by Peavey and Coffin Case!"

So will this be a new Giveaway or another Red Vorin?

  5. It really seems like a great companion line to Battle Beasts as well. They could almost come from the same universe, considering the different "animal-humanoid-warriors" they both sport.

Good point, add in that much of the BB armor seems to be removable, one could do some nice mash ups with both lines

Very cool news though. Not for my Marvel only "rule", which just became more of a guideline than a rule.

Marvel's imprint (Star Comics) and Marvel UK both published Thundercats comics, your rule could still stand :)

  6. Here's a review of the sets:

The Gundam Converge figures are apparently around 2 inches tall (supposedly 55mm) so they should offer the best comparison for minimates

  7. This may have already been covered but is the Zik's torso bigger than standard mm torso? BC the potential for customs then is amazing for making taller mms.

Should be, I believe Zik uses the Theatre Ghost's Torso

I tried putting the torso on a cop's legs but the torso wouldn't fit all the way down the peg.
