  1. I do like youbastards idea (only because it means there's a chance I could get my hands on a promo a little easier)

That said, there are a few issues:

    1. There's over 300 members here. It may not happen all the time, but there's the possibility of the same resentment from those who are not of the 98 lucky ones as we see from members who are not at the con.

    2. While it seems that this is the main forum for minimates, I know there is at least one other site with members who also collect minimates (There may be more, but I really haven't looked) This could cause resentment from other sites (I remember a similar issue with Mattel's Gleek and a certain site that was given a bunch of them while other sites could just watch with jealousy)

  2. I've already seen one blue one sell BIN for $30. I'm hoping people will value them at or below the value of a red one (basically the same anyway) and maybe I could even offer a trade of a red for a blue?

So far I haven't seen anymore blues show up on ebay

  3. I went into a video game buying frenzy the past 3 years (Once I realized how easy it is to fix old NES systems :) )

Here's my 3 favorites from that system:

    Tiger-Heli

    T&C Surf Designs

    Excitebike

    Other good games:

    Mike Tyson's Punch Out

    Bionic Commando

    Duck Hunt

    TMNT 2 and up

Any Mario Games (Mario Bros and Super 1-3)

  4. That Blue Vorin would look pretty good with my red one, I'll have to find a way to get one.

I'm digging all the creatures I'm seeing in this line, not crazy about the humans, here's hoping the TRU ones aren't too brightly colored (Neon would be bad I think) I might have to get a spare of the snake guy to make my first GI Joe minimate custom :D

  5. I noticed that the Lion-O with light blue boots seems to be the early prototype (This is the one with no straps on top of the shoulders) The Lion-O with dark blue boots seems more closer to production. I'm willing to bet that the final release will have the straps.

Wait....I take that back, sorta. Looking at the pics on the Thundercats fb, it looks like there's 3 prototypes of Lion-O (Light blue boots, no sides of boots/ Dark Blue full boots/ Light Blue full boots) Looks like both of the figures on the Thundercats page (Light blue missing sides boots & dark blue full boots) may have the straps (It's hard to tell if they're really on the dark blue boots version, which I notice is in the box set pic)

Zach's Lion-O (light blue full boots) seems like it may be the only one without straps

  6. Please forgive me if this has been asked and answered elsewhere but will the walkers in this line have clear bodies? I was admiring the added depth of the Marvel Zombies 'mates thanks to that aspect and was hopeful that it would carry over into this line.

The sdcc one has a clear body.

  7. So... has a whole line been announced, or just the boxed set?

Not exactly announced, but hinted at per the last ask DST: http://www.artasylum.com/blog/2012/06/ask-dst-164/#more-7050

DSTCHUCK: We get asked lots of time to develop MM for other folks and most of the time we say no thanks. If it’s a real cool opportunity then we do say yes once in the while. We’re working on a real cool line for someone right now and I think they plan to sell their first products at SDCC.

But MASK is owned by Hasbro, right? They slipped Matt Tracker into GI Joe 25th, after all, and I can't imagine they'd pay anyone for what amounts to a novelty figure. Hopefully, it's not impossible.

That's right, so unless Hasbro decideds to license the rights, IF we see a Mask block figure style line, it'll probably be Kre-o

  8. I've long labeled myself as a casual Thundercats fan. I mainly collect Mumm-Ra and after watching a couple of of the old episodes a few years back I realized I really only liked Mumm-Ra's transformation scene :) The same can be said for Silverhawks too. I have a couple of the figures and the into is the best part about the cartoon

  9. Well I never said "sold for" but you're right I was thinking that as I typed.

I suppose I should clarify that you would have the opportunity to buy one during and shortly after the con on ebay for a crazy amount of money such as over $100 (I'm not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure I saw people asking that much for them even if they never sold for that much)

    or

you can wait a month or two and have the opportunity to purchase one on ebay for a less crazy amount of money like $30

Perhaps had you clarified your post saying what I said was completely unfounded to something like "A grey Vorin has never sold for $100", we could have avoided some of this back and forth.

Just so we're clear, I am not a fan of paying crazy money for any exclusive either
