  1. I ended up in the top 1% and got the suit, gun (that I don't think I will ever use) gold and silver. I actually like the suit and have it equipped! It looks neat!

I really wanted DP though... confused.gif As long as we do eventually have a chance to buy him, I'm cool with that. thumbsup.gif

  2. Can I also complain about Scarlet Witch? I love that her powers kill all my guys with buffs and heal all the opponents, even making attacks give them health. If I don't make a point to kill her ASAP, I'm usually hosed. If somebody has Scarlet Witch and the Chrono overdrive thingy that gives a million free turns, I usually don't even get to fight.

  3. I agree with you, Battlecat.

I was trying to think back to other times the Doctor has let people die through inaction, or perhaps killed them outright, and he usually makes a "it's up to you" scenario. He gives the opponent a fighting chance to either save themselves or give up, and he didn't seem to do this with Solomon. I know in one of the trailers for the season there was a line by Amy saying something to the effect of: "This is what happens when you travel alone for too long!", so I wonder if that thread of "the Doctor needs a proper companion" is coming back. It will be funny to see him running around with a Dalek. teehee.gif

  4. Thought Dinosaurs on a Spaceship was OK. It seemed really rushed. That may be a downside to the supposed "self contained episodes" mantra. Things just happened way too fast and the pacing seemed off. I loved the robots, however! They were very "Douglas Adams" and I chuckled at their last appearance.

    Rupert Graves was good too.

Anyone else a little put off by:

The Doctor killing Solomon seemingly so callously? It was just out of character for the Doctor. Was this bad writing, or intentional?

  5. If I read between the lines of the press release correctly, I think Peter Jackson is just doing what he had planned to do all along, but just attaching it to the name "The Hobbit".

After LOTR was wrapped, he had talked about doing a LOTR "prequel" (or prequels) taking things from the appendices and fleshing them out to bridge the gap between the Hobbit and LOTR. That sure seems to be what he is doing here now and calling it "The Hobbit 3" instead of "The Wacky Adventures of Hobbits, Men and Dwarves" or whatever title they would have invented.

    I'm up for it!thumbsup.gif
