  1. I'm assuming, Tenime, that you haven't seen the concept art? A few leaked pieces: Steve vs. Winter Soldier in the streets, Winter Soldier's upper torso and face (covered by a mask), and Steve's new costume.

Yep, new costume, and if we waited a bit more we'd have my two biggest wants from the poll anyway. Steve is going Commander Rogers in the film.

Can anyone link to the concept art?

  2. Can't wait to see your road trip X-Force. Adam Pollina was doing some great work on the book at that time. Great work on the others too!

It's funny, because these guys have been on my to-do list for so long, and yet I keep getting distracted. By far my favorite X-Force lineup and his work on the book was so superb that I guess I'm biding my time to properly do it justice.

Here are three other projects that had been collecting dust on my work bench:

  3. Glad everyone is liking what I'm putting out so far. This next update came together quite nicely, and I'm pretty proud of.

Without further ado, I give you:

    THE SPICE GIRLS!!!

Oh, wait, no, I mean the other forgotten-yet-loved hit sensation of the 90's:

    GENERATION X!

Just waiting on a Heroes to the Rescue blue/gold Wolvie to make my Banshee figure and then I'm taking a team shot. This project took about three weeks in terms of parts gathering/painting/assembling and I'm pretty happy with how everything turned out for the most part.

Just gotta kick my butt into high gear to plow through the remaining X-Factor and "Road Trip" X-Force stuff I want to finish and I'll be all 90's-ed out!

  4. I keep trying to wrack my brain for an X-Men appropriate Spider-Man and besides the already mentioned Exiles' 2099, I can't think of one distinguishing look that would represent his association with them...

Although, in an issue of Chris Claremont's awful New Exiles series, the team encounters an alternate group of X-Men in which Spider-Man was known as Spider and was one of the original five:

So, with that in mind, you could go with something like this:

which would be easy enough to piece together...

...ACTUALLY, now that I think about it: Six-Armed Spidey would fit in keeping with the theme of "Mutants" as opposed to "X-Men".

  5. I need help, please.

I'm looking for Minimates with black plastic bodies (barring blanks).

Havok & Venom are two I've come up with, but I'm having brainfarts on possible others.

Tampos aren't a problem, as long as the base color of the plastic is black.

If your local TRU has as many warming the pegs as mine does, grab the X-Men: First Class Sebastion Shaw packs. He's completely black under the jacket. And all the TRU's near me still have those on clearance for $4.95

  6. Thanks for the replies. I can definitely get those remaining figures. My only problem is the red belt. Luke doesn't have one listed in his parts. Anyone have an extra to spare?

You could check the Parts Exchange thread in the Flea Market or maybe ask Luke directly to see if he has a spare not listed. He just helped me out big time on my last order off his site with some New X-Men belts he had lying around that he didn't get a chance to list.

  7. I think this is a pretty legitimate thread you started, Tetton, so you shouldn't have to worry. As far as the best versions to represent the 90's versions of these characters?

Probably W47 Colosuss, the most recent available, will make a great addition to your Gold team.

The recent "Best of" version of Wolverine is perfect for his Blue team iteration.

Iceman (as close as he was in the 90's) you'll probably have to go with W11, which may be a tiny bit harder to track down but should be plentiful on eBay.

If not, you can always use the X-Men: First Class boxset Iceman, remove the hair, and add a red X-belt. That represents him best, to me, as I remember him back then. His face is a bit happier, too, which I think keeps with the character better.
