In my opinion, I would open them. Around 95% of my collection is open and the remainder are in their boxes. Those in boxes are the variants from some of the less popular waves and some doubles of my favorite variants or exclusives, Hulkbuster Iron Man, Original Avengers Box set, Marvel Zombie minimates. But yeah, open them and if you have doubts, buy doubles of those you really, really like.

I open everything. If you're keeping them MIB for resale value, you're making a mistake. If you want to invest look into real estate not Minimates. By the way if youre looking to trade that 90's Cyke/Jean for something PM me.

If you've kept them MOC this long and don't feel any particular need to open them, I'd say leave them closed. I open all of mine. I... um... recreate dynamic scenes. With sound effects. But that's just me. If you like them MOC, leave them that way. Except for that Champions set. The Ghost Rider that comes in that set is super fun. I've never been a fan of the character, but I love that 'mate, and you really can't get the full effect of how cool his face is until it's out of the box and back-lit.
