I guess I've been lucky with this line. There are two stores within 40 miles. One of them isn't very reliable as to what they get in but, so far, they do eventually get every wave in. The second store is much better. When a few weeks after the wave has been spotted in multiple locations I go in and check. If they don't have it in stock then I, respectfully, ask the manager if she can order in the new wave. However, I first make sure that any previous waves have been bought out. Even if that means I have to take a couple of extra weeks to buy up the older inventory myself. At most it has been two restocks, they never restock more than one set at a time, before the new wave comes into stock. Basically rather than running around to multiple stores, ranting about distribution, and being upset because you still can't find the newest wave try a different approach. Pick the store that's closest, or better yet the one with the most helpful employees a work with them. Oh , one other very important thing is to make sure that they know that your interested in the line for the right reasons: collecting, customizing, and a love of the brand. If you play up the exclusivity you're likely to hit a brick wall. Maybe it is just the store I frequent, but they seem to dislike the idea that they might be helping scalpers make a fast buck on exclusives.

It is rather frustrating, I cleaned out the back stock from both the stores near me and they ended up restocking with multiple sets of wave 1.5. Since I seem to be the only one buying in the area it is getting expensive trying to get in the newest waves.

I so want a Power Boy and White Tiger Cub to go with Chibi Spider-Man

New mixed series Savage Land Rogue & ANXM X-23 Scream & White Rabbit Mantis & Crystal Abigail Brand & Death Bird Greatest Hits Wave Dark Phoenix & 90's Jubilee using the kid size body Black Cat and Arachni (Spider Woman 2) Valkyrie & Angela She-Hulk & Invisible Woman (Best of match)
-
Argh! That Chibi Spider-Man just makes me want a full team of the characters as children as well as complete teams of Mojoverse X-Babies and Mighty Vengers. Not to mention an articulated Rocket Raccoon using that smaller body. Just for continuity sake pack him with a bulked up Battle Ready Groot with Carnage tendrils and hands.

Every line should be required to have a glow Bunny in one form or another even if they never appeared on screen or page.

Autumn Lands, perhaps? It meets both categories of new property and not new by being very similar to Battle Beasts.

With the reveal of the new Siryn in the Deadpool wave it seems about time to petition for the next X-Force Box Set to be:
Warpath
Feral
Sunspot
Stryfe

He's supposed to be joining the season 4 team. No, the dream part would be the Spyder Knight/Man-Wolf and Falcon/Nighthawk packs.
-
I'll play.
Gamora/Drax
Thor/Ulik
Scarlet Spider/White Tiger
Spider-Ham/Iron Mouse
Those are variations of Spider-Man and Iron Man, right?
So, while I'm dreaming wave 2.5 will be
Falcon/Nighthawk
Scarlet Spider (Kaine)/Iron Fist
Spyder Knight/Man-Wolf
Black Panther/Klaw

I'm hoping I'll be able to post some pics on Friday along with War Mutant, Battle Beast Rat, and Cap-Wolf WIP. I've got the pictures ready it's just a matter of getting to an access point for my Windows 10 computer.

For those not wanting to wait I picked up a Lego Blind Bag Series 14 Wolfman, that I'm thinking to trying to turn into a Cap-Wolf, and one of the figures is a human fly. The head and claw hand should work on a minimate body for a custom Stockman.

It'll be a while before I can post pictures, but with finally finding a second Animated Starlord I've completed my Kitty Pryde, Star Lady custom.
Laura Croft head and hair
TWD Wave 5 Maggie chest block
Movie Star-Lord Rocket Boots
all the rest of the parts are from Animated Star-Lord

There are now enough variations for a Faces/Muzzles of Cap-Wolf Box Set
Original Cap-Wolf
666 Universe Cap-Wolf
Battle World Spider-Island Cap-Wolf
Captain Falcon Wolf

The Mirage set (swapped masks or not) is the first Turtles set I've been excited about. If we got Playmates characters, I'd be all over that like stink on you-know-what.
Baxter Stockman?

Set after the first four films a Ripley clone, created from samples taken before at the beginning of Aliens, then wake the clone in a recreation of the escape pod. Let the clone believe that her memory loss is due to an extraordinarily long hyper sleep. Do a quick explanation of the destruction of LV-428 and other Alien related incursions and then get into whatever the main plot is of the new film.
Everything fits and is wrapped up for the audience but Ripley would have no knowledge of her involvement in the later events.

Wow. those actually look pretty good! I think I'd rather see more humans get made from here on out for the Minimates line (Baxter Stockman, Irma, Kirby O'Neil, Xever, Pulverizer, etc.) and just pick up the Playmates stuff for the mutated monsters.
Keep saying mean things like that and I'll take my mutants away from Monte.
I need more minimate mutants (especially Tigerclaw) in order to expand my Battle Beast army.
And for the record if we get to a character like Irma she needs to be part of a deluxe Krang Sub-Prime set.

You're welcome, but when am I going to see a Hall of Armors from the couple of Universe Iron Men I gave you?
Also I've got a Series 1 Leo head, Spike, and Krang for you. Leatherhead could probably use a snack by now.
I'm only kidding. After all trying to get that many armors all standing, even with bases, would be a total nightmare.

Honestly, I'm relieved. First off, the one I was eyeballing online is $27, so now that I know there was a local option for $7 cheaper I won't get the $27 version. Secondly, all I really wanted was Tony, and maybe some IM suit hands and feet. Most of the suits are cool and all, but I don't like the puffy look when they opt for the over-the-buck approach. Still, you're a bastard.
Yes, yes I am. I stopped to pick up a Leonardo, to put in a bag of turtles for a certain individual and just happened to notice them putting on the lower price sticker. Naturally I picked up the Hall of armors for my collection and didn't even bother fondling blind bags for a Leonardo. So I have to agree with your description.
However I may be able to put together a civilian Tony of some sort with a couple of versions of gloves and boots for you.
-
Very clever use of those Legos.
I've eyeballed the Hall of Armors set many times at Hastings.
Don't worry Monte, as soon as the set was marked down to $20 I picked it up so you wouldn't be tempted any longer. ;p

I have no idea if MODOK was ever a zombie, but a Zombie MODOK would be pretty swell.
Yes pk13, there is a Zombie MODOC or Moribund Organism Designed Only for Cannibalism.

Not having the money to trigger resets is something I can easily understand. I also realize that I'm in a rather unique situation being the only dedicated collector in the area and having stores that only stock one case at a time. Which makes it nice that the Animated series case is a single set. For the most part I can only afford to pick up two packs per week. Soon that will go up slightly once I finish buying out Hasting's clearance stock and having no local options for continuing to buy comics. Also my regular buying habits will be dropping from at least two copies from multiple lines to single LCS Marvel sets ordered online and multiples of the Walgreen series. While I have a bit more flexibility than most I certainly didn't mean to imply that I can just buy as many as it takes to triger multiple restocks or even e-bay prices. After thinking about it, I guess the point I was trying to articulate is if you treat the Walgreen's you frequent most like a LCS, you're likely to have better luck than treating it like TRU.
