  1. I'll buy one of your P1 Preds if you need help funding your addiciton... :)

It is not beyond the realm of possibility that I would sell my, er, remaining spare

But I've decided to offload figures I don't take out of their boxes anymore first, and so far that's working pretty well. I sold off most of my Transformers Classics figures, and DCUC and Marvel Legends might be next. If/when all that sells, I should be in pretty good shape! I want to unload some of my excessive Minimates and Kubricks, but I'm too lazy to take all the pics and list the auctions.

This is madness!!! And I don't mean that in the "I'm about to get kicked into the abyss by Gerard Butler" way.

Offload whatever you must, K80, but don't let that P1 go. You'll regret it later.

  2. Oh, well that's much better. When I saw the pics of the unpainted head, I assumed that was all you'd get. I think people were paying around $1000 for the bobbyc Joker heads.

Still, $700 is a huge chunk of money. You can get an awesome Dude, that won't be owned by too many others. OR, you can pay for your Ghost Rider, Thor, Spiderman, and Captain America figures.

For me, $700 would be a dealbreaker. I'd be sorely tempted at $400, though. Just my personal ceiling.

  3. Unbelievable sculpt, man. I just don't get into the several hundred $$ sculpts.

I know everyone made a fuss over the bobbyc Joker heads on SSF, and I honestly thought the head looked a bit stretched on the finished product. I'm perfectly happy with my DX head. Now they are taking preorders for better Joker outfits, running $120ish for a shirt, $250 for the jacket, $200 for the blazer, etc... when the standard Hot Toys outfit is really nice.

As much as I'd love to have "The Dude" I can't see paying $700 for the head, plus whatever the cost of painting it would be, plus the cost of a body, clothes, etc... I paid just under $400 for my P1 Predator, and that's pretty much my breaking point. I can't see paying anything higher than that for any figure.

But of course, if you've got a spare $700 and can do your own paint, knock yourself out. He'd certainly look great on your shelf. :D

  4. Yeah, I've seen some really nice shots. Someone had an awesome pic posted (I think it was on SSF) but I couldn't find it again when I tried. It was The Don sitting in his chair, flanked by a few custom gangsters in their suits, and the Joker. It was a really nice shot, and I went through page after page to find it and save it, but no luck. hahaha. Sucks when that happens.

  5. Thanks for the Thor pics. I hadn't seen those yet. Awesome!

I got my Mark IV on Monday. You won't be disappointed. The Stark head looks pretty nice in person, and I'm actually thinking about displaying mine with it for a while.

  6. :) Nice.

Anyway, I was supposed to get my Mark IV Iron Man today, but due to adverse weather conditions he's been moved back to Monday. Sucks for me, but I'm glad some UPS driver didn't get maimed or killed attempting to deliver my dollie. As much as I hate waiting a few extra days, I can totally understand it in a situation like this. :)

Oh, and my Punisher shipped from China some time last week. Looking forward to his arrival as well.

  7. I could have sworn I saw one for $250 on the SSF forum recently. Of course, I could be way off, but you really should check there.

He has really jumped up in price from several months ago. I almost bought one a while back for $150ish, but I had too many other figures I wanted. Good luck with your search.

  8. 1. Commissioner Gordon (DX with swat gear would be awesome)

    2. Elvis

    3. Machete

    4. V for Vendetta (Hot Toys, of course)

    5. And an updated version of Rambo. That Barney Ross head sculpt is incredible. I'd love to see a Rambo with a similar quality head and the newer muscle body.

  9. So if you're dealing with anyone on OSW, make sure you sit by your computer at all times so you can instantly send payments or answer any questions someone may have. Otherwise you'll miss out and it's your own fault. LOL!

The d!c$s over at SSF are better than the ones at OSW :D

Amen to that, bro. I've at least completed a few deals on SSF. This is still the best forum I've ever dealt on, but unfortunately there's just not much of a 1/6 market here. hahaha!

  10. I'm about to stop dealing with people on OSW.com. First I had the idiot who told me I took too long to pay, when it was a total of 3 hours, and now I've had another guy tell me I took too long.

This time, I'm out an Art Figures "Saves" Punisher knockoff. I had originally worked a deal with a guy named Azteca to trade my Dark Knight Batman for a Leonidas. He was expecting 4 from his distributor, and was willing to do the trade. Well, he never got his Leos, and felt bad that the deal fell apart. He offered me a figure at his cost, any time, just to let him know.

When I learned he was getting the Punisher figure, I asked if he could hook me up with that. He agreed. Over the past couple months, I've kept in contact with him, and he continually told me he'd contact me when they arrived. Well, I happened to find from one of his posts (not a PM, mind you) that he got his stock, and as of last night he had 6 left. I sent a PM and asked for the total and his Paypal info. He did not respond by the time I went to bed, so I figured I'd check during my break at work. When I logged on, I had two PMs from him. The first had the total, and a warning to pay soon because he couldn't hold them too long "because they are hott." His second message, sent almost 3 hours later, said he was officially sold out. I sent him a message asking what happened, and he came back with "what happened is that we are sold out."

  11. Yeah, I thought about emailing the guy you're talking about, but from what I've read there are already a lot of people on his list. I doubt I could get in this late.

I'm also thinking at 4000 pieces, the price should come down on Demon Bats and Scarecrow. What was the Guardian Preds run? I thought I heard 2500, but I could be way off.

Hopefully after the initial panic, the price drops to something a little easier to accept.
