  1. Odd that I haven't seen a single one of these at Walmart.

Out of the big three they are only hitting Target and TRU atm. If you find one you like, buy it. You may not get another chance in the near future. My wife is a HUGE WW collector. We've been trying to track down the Lex Superman set since we first saw it almost a month ago. Then we remembered Amazon exists...Now it is no longer a problem.

  2. Nice. I saw these pics on Facebook, but I've got to say I'm a little confused. You say it's instagram, but I don't see a single pair of over-sized nerdy glasses.

I'm of the opinion the more daily mini-goodies, the better. Keep bringing it.

(I like to think HYDRA is playing the 1st Infantry Division song for Rulkie.)

Haha, I was trying to get the screen in focus, but just wasn't happening. Sorry to ruin it, but it was Erasure's Always full blast.

  3. As if we really needed another daily minimate picture thing. I recently got an iPhone 4s and decided to get all artsy with instagram. Of course I didn't feel like taking narcissistic wannabe artsy photos of myself, so I decided to take MM pics. Here are my first ones.

Here is a link to my instgram page if you have the program and would like to follow me.

  4. Right on, thanks guys. I actually just decided to chance it and went there with the coupons. I ended up spending it on a DC Classics Harley/Joker 2 pack. As I got to the register I noticed that the Joker figure wasn't packed with a flower on his lapel so they gave me 10% off. Which leads me to my next question. Does anyone know how Mattel is with handling missing accessories if I get a hold of them? If I can't get it, it's really no big deal. I mean after all the pack did cost me $5 when it was all said and done.

  5. Hey Zach, does Ryu come with two hair pieces? Or was the one with swept hair just for proto?

There are actually two Ryus. Series 2 has a first appearance Ryu, with floppy bangs, and Series 3 has modern spiky-haired Ryu. I may have heard something about us tweaking one of the hair pieces, but as far as I know both figures are still happening.

Oh wow, good deal. Thanks for the heads up dude man.

  6. If I lived in Kansas City, I'd definitely be there. I think smaller, regional cons are lots more fun than the big monoliths that are SDCC, NYCC, all the Wizard shows, ect. It's like the difference between seeing a band in a club or in an arena, and I've seen too many bands in clubs to go back to arena shows. Also, cons like that are usually where you can find the best deals, since dealers are usually looking to unload inventory.

Oh yeah, there's a dude every year that barricades himself in with his tables and has just about every Legends, MU, Classics, DCU and Minimate laying out in front of him. He takes no breaks throughout the two days and banks. Best part is, now that we've been going every year, he remembers our group that runs there and cuts us awesome deals. My wife picked up a Wonder Woman figure and an Artemis Variant and asked how much, right as he said $40 each he saw she was with me and said. "Oh you two are together? $25 for the both of em". This year I think I'm going to offer him a flat price on his MM bin, regardless what's in it.

  7. Hey guys, just wanted to check and see if any of you dudes might be close to the KC area. If so, I HIGHLY recommend hitting up Planet Comicon. It's a fairly small scale Con but always brings big names in. Turns out there are a lot of celebrities, artists and writers that live in KC and they really like to make an appearance here. So it turns out to be more of an intimate experience as opposed to just getting an autograph and pushed out of the way. Last year I ended up getting smashed with Jason Aaron, Cullen Bunn, Jeremy Bulloch, Ben Templesmith, Daniel Logan (huge douche, wouldn't quit hitting on my wife) and a bunch of other comic dudes. Also, it has a banging sales floor. Got at least two booths that bring huge rubber maid bins full of Mates as well. Just wanted to let you dudes know about this con, definitely a cool one. 8. Sorry... bringing back an old thread, but got a question maybe Zach can answer.

Will 2012 finally bring us a First Class Beast to round this set off?

    Thanks

I'm with this as well. I would love to see an updated First Class Beast without the duck feet. Would be great to see new Hulk style feet for Beast. However, just stick him in randomly ala Wave 31 Angel.
