*SQUEE*But one thing is for certain -- lots of comic X-Men love next year!
*DOUBLE DOUBLE SQUEE*
ALL THE SQUEES!!!!
A SQUEE and an embarrassing snort!
Shame we wont get a leather Rogue, Iceman and Shadowcat

Meggan in her first costume for me
Perfect excuse to get us more Excalibur. Kylun/Meggan, Cerise/Pete Wisdom, Widget/Nocturne?
Damm straight!!

I could not find my Wave 1 Daredevil but I found these. I really wanted to include Zombie Daredevil but sadly it is one of the few Minimates I own that is still in the package. Though I love the new one I am still quite fond of the Marvel Knights Daredevil.
That first one looks like he smelt something bad.

Today's NOW is Tomorrow's CLASSIC
Gotta remember DST wants to sell to younger consumers to keep the lines viable.
I don't think young people read comics any more. For me the biggest problem with current stuff is it doesn't last for a decent amount of time. I have a nice collection of 60's 70's 80's and 90's x-men but I don't even have an image in my mind what a cohesive x-men 00's or 10's collection would be because there were so many things that were lucky to last for 2 years. With a line like minimates it can sometimes takes 5 or more years to complete a team that's why we have things like about 4 x-men from their leather days about the same again of their ultimate look and we have moved on and as their not a current thing in comics and weren't a lasting thing in the books there is no interest in revisiting them from either side of the equation. I have strayed a little off topic but I am weary of up to the minute stuff.

I have mixed feelings about this set. I'm a big x-fan (especially 90's X) so I'm getting this set. But I'm actually pretty happy with my mixed eras 90's x-force. So Ok I'm fine with having Cable anchor the box but definitely needed warpath sunspot and syrin in there with him.

Not a huge spidey fan but this sounds a fun set.

With my earlier comment about Electro being as obscure as Magma, I had actually forgotten about the upcoming moving and didn't realise mainstream publicity had started. So definitely he will have a higher public profile. One thing I find odd though is the assumption that non comic reading people are up on things like cartoon villains and whatnot, sure whatever kids tune into a particular version of a spiderman cartoon would know that version of the villains, but their mum still probably thinks Catwoman fights the Hulk or something.

I would say that Electro is as obscure as Magma, neither have had main stream exposure. Im glad they were both made

Which one is Ultimate?
Electro

Now that I have seen the show I have no interest in any of the characters in toy form.

I'd like a Minimate of that Marvel Select Jane.
Seconded

I thought I would be the only one but Battlecat came through, because I'm going with the Captain Britain, Shadowcat. Kitty was such a huge improvement over her first figure (why do they give her invisible limbs when her powers don't work that way?) Both characters came in their iconic costumes, Kittys face captured her personality, and Lockheed has to be one of the top 5 minimate accessories.

Dunno if I'll be getting anything from this wave at all. Maybe Winter Soldier and Falcon but that's just me.
Yeah that's what I'm thinking but I have done pretty well out of 47, 48, 50 and 51 so thats not bad, Fingers crossed for a dream 55

I don't know how many of you have seen these about but I just found out that Heroclix are doing hero bases,
What they have basically done have made the figures removable from the game bases and able to plug into specially created team bases.
The bases themselves are generally team specific with heroclixs, and have a specific figure fitting in a specific hole, However if minimates were to adopt something like this I would imagine it would be best with six or so foot pegs that any figure can use. I wouldn't mind team specific ones (Inhumans on the moons surface) however I'm sure generic street scenes rooftops and forests would work as well. Of course an advantage of specific figure slots that can be explored is various power effects can be built into the base (Lightning bolts, fire, invisible shields etc).
The Heroclix ones come packaged with 3 figures the rest of the team available in the regular series. This could be an excellent way to get minimates of teams again like the Inhumans where retails might not be thrilled with a character like Crystal in a regular wave.
I have not seen these at retail and have no idea what they cost and if this would be a factor against minimates doing something similar, however personally I think it would be a great way to get so good looking tiered displays of minimates.
So what do you all think?

Shouldn't Romulus be packed with Remus?
Zing!

Ok dumb question time what exactly are dump cases?

I haven't gotten this wave yet, but I got my Maria Hills from Luke (preordered when he first threw them up all those months ago), so I've supplemented my S.H.I.E.L.D. ranks already. It'll grow when I get my case from my LCS (though there will only be one more female). Thank the gods for all the White Tigers I had in my parts bin - regular white feet make the transformation into classic agent complete.
Front row: Black Widow, Agent 13, Quake, Maria Hill, Nick Fury (can't wait to replace that head/hair with the Age of Ultron one!), Dum-Dum Dugan, Gabe Jones, Agent Coulson
Second row: Random female agents, Kymberly Taylor, Jasper Sitwell, Clay Quartermain, Jimmy Woo, random male agent
The rest are just random agents (though, I'm sure I could find names to match some of my headswaps - Kymberly Taylor was a fluke accident, lol - thanks, Prowlar for the 411!), with the Ultimate soldiers being "The Howling Commandos" (in my fan-canon).
another sort of legit agent you can do is the civilian head of sin eater with the dark hair was a shield agent.

If we did get an x wave I would like it to plug a few holes.
Banshee, Sunfire
90's X-factor Havok, Polaris
X-Factor Wolfsbane, Multiple Man
Strong Guy, Multiple Man
TRU wave
AOA Banshee, Female Sunfire
X-Force Syrin, Warpath
Forge, Multiple Man
Sheild Agernt Wolverine, Multiple Man

Just looking at my collection as I'm want to do and noticed we are building up a nice little selection of civilian characters so I was just wondering who are the everyday men and women we would most like? My top picks.
Foggy Nelson
Karen Page
Moria MacTaggert
Outback jumpsuit Madelyne Pryor (ok it turned out she wasn't quite as unpowered as we thought but for most of her run she was just Cyclops shat upon ex-wife)

slightly off topic but was I the only one who would be happy for Yukio to turn up as a card carrying x-man in the next film?
