I like Alan Davis quite a bit. I think the best artists work doesn't age.

True!

If anyone is looking to expand their Real Ghostbusters line (heck, I know I am), I'd suggest picking up the various Trash Pack minis found in any Target/TRU/etc. Originally I was looking at this line for the trash cans (as part of a zombie board game I'm making) and was going to throw away the figures. However, a friend of mine had a revelation....
Having recently watched some epsiodes again, I noticed there's always the goblin/ghost group shot somewhere in the episode, like so:
Just a random gathering of little ghosts pursing the GB's- these track pack monsters are not only the perfect scale but also fit the animated style to a T. Highly recommended!
Ha, that's perfect!

I think the trick is finding when you need to sculpt vs print. For example the newer Thor's are much better with out the sculpted chest piece.

Thanks! I like the smirk, he looks good with battle ravaged face too.

for when it came out it was awesome! I mean it was one of the first to have a lot of detail.

Ah old minimates they never stayed together, drove me crazy.
Has anyone else noticed that old DC minimates (W1 Superman,W1 Batman, Powergirl, Dr. Fate, Deathstroke, etc.) seem to be at par with newer Marvel minimates?
Edit: And no, this is not an attempt to derail the thread into "How I wish we still had DC minimates..." :deathstroke:
They are awesome. But what were they thinking with characters like Ma Hunkel so early in the line

Maybe something like ML series 2 Namor.
-
I couldn't figure out the piece either

MK would be the best! Honestly think how many characters there are as well as all the costume variants, from the classic looks to the modern.
I think a strait up Capcom line would be really cool. There could be a Megaman wave, Final Fight, Resident Evil, Breath of Fire, Powerstone and Firebrand!

You know I really wish that Angel was in the X-Factor boxset instead of Iceman, I know he has the belt which makes him X-Factory. Iceman is cool but doesn't change much.

That wash looks looks amazing!

I like them all!

Storm is cool!Did you see that mohawk!

I look forward to seeing them! I never buy doubles but having extra parts can be useful for mixing.

Havok was the lead character when I started reading X-men, so kinda have a soft spot for him! And I always wondered who he was when I was a kid on the Toy Biz X-Men boxes, the mysteriously absent figure from series 2. I like Kitty Pryde the best, here is an update I did of her Excalibur costume link

Here are the 3 Havok minimates. I agree I think the original one has a more accurate headpiece gem thing. Although the back is supposed to the neck piece. I was actually lucky enough to talk to Neal Adams about Havok's costume design. The gem captures the solar energy, the head thingy transfers it to the suit, and the suit contains the energy.

I really like the calmer face on Havok. Which face is that? I was really hoping that Havok wouldn't be yelling this time, but that looks like a nice alternative.
I used the extra head that came with movie Hawkeye, It looks good and I wasn't using it for anything.
I like this Havok much better. The old one wasn't bad,it had one foot in the older style of minimate and one in the new. This is the best classic Havok since the exclusive Toy Biz one from the 90's. I just don't like the screaming face on Havok, that all the figures seem to have. Havok, despite his name tends to have an air of calm to him.

Really nice Polaris custom!

Thanks, UKC! It's nice to be on a forum dedicated to Minimates. Took me awhile to find it.
Spider-Man vs. Kingpin: Back in Black
*Snip*
I really like this!
Thanks! There is some strange link on the word Spider-man for some reason...

Ditto. I got into x-men comics from playing the arcade game and watching the animated series, not the other way around.
Going to date myself by saying this but- my generation (whatever followed generation x'ers, gen d? Gen y? Idk.) think of X-men when they think comics. This generation will have avengers . 90's marketing vs. 2012.
I actually got into X-Men when I got the Toy Biz Wolverine II for my birthday!

X-Factor. I gave Cyclops the First Class face. Iceman has the X-Factor belt. Jean has First Class hair. Angel forgot his costume.
