  1. was always unsure about this line for the price but i got the Nathan Drake figure for christmas and was blown away by the quality, well worth the price.

Worried i might get used to the quality though as it would cost a fair bit to keep buying these as opposed to other toy lines.

However i do plan on getting the Nolan style Batman come March and try to get Bane, Joker and Catwoman later on in time

  2. Generally 6" is my preferred scale and i havent been able to collect any Star Wars figures due to my dislike of the smaller scale so for me this is brilliant.

I recently payed £20 for the DCC New 52 Batman so the price tag doesnt put me off too much, as long as the quality stays as good as it looks in these pictures.

However i do think I'll stick to the bare essentials, a decent farmboy Luke, Boba Fett and maybe a Vader

  3. funilly enough my school breaks up on the 21st and several people have said they wonet turn up because they, seriously, think its the end of the world.

anyhoo, i vote for some sort of rift in time and space which causes our world to cross places with that of a parralel universes, making life as we know it end and us having to get used to the ways of this other world

  4. thought i'd chuck in my tow cents here.

firstly How I Met Your Mother is an important part of my life as it brang me and my brother together more than anything else ever could, so it means a lot to me.

big fan of the new Arrow. Sure theres a few areas for improvement but its a nice setttlement for a character that probably couldnt hold a movie of his own right now, and its pretty well done for a "realistic" comic interpretation.

despite being british i grew up with american sit-coms and currently a few of my favourites are 2 Broke Girls, New Girl, Community and to a lesser extent Big Bang Theory.

i've been known to watch some My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic on occasion too

  5. just started playing The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, which is very interesting and very challenging. The story is quite well thought so far however it does suffer from some occasional poor animation and regular poor voice acting. Also this is the first game i've played on the ps3 that features manual saving, which has resulted in me having to replay an entire level after forgetting to save

  6. there definitley was some stunning figures shown recently, that hulk is awesome.

I'm considering getting the dx 2.0 joker for christmas, which would be my first figure, not sure whether to go through with it or even how easy it would be to get but I think its worth it

  7. London shouldnt be too bad, its a bit touristy at the moment what with wimbledon, jubilee and olympics but wasnt too bad lat time i went. I believe this comics heaven you talk of is forbidden planet, opposite a theatre that usually shows rock of ages (which i thoroughly enjoyed), lots of various figures and whatnot upstairs (I didnt find any minimates there though) and comics and books downstairs. Hope this helps

  8. recently read the fault in our stars by John Green and I think it's amazing, instantly my favourite book partly because John Green seems like such an amazing dude and his writing is incredible. I've bought a few of his other books so plan on reading those too at some point.

  9. i'd love to see that transformation head on the connors mate, would seem cool. I actually really like the look of these as mates even though i wasnt fussed about the film looks. I might even say they look better than some of the avengers mates. Going to try and pick these up when i get the chance

  10. i must be part of the minority who quite like the new thor head. Also i've not collected a 1/6 figure yet but i'm considering starting, just one then moving on when money becomes a bit easier. not sure what a good starting point would be, the marvel ones look amazing but just a bit too pricey at the moment

  11. cant wait to get these, they look gorgeous. Its just a shame not being able to get the TRU wave in the UK without resorting to ebay.

Slightly off topic, Zach has DST ever thought about doing mimimates in British TRU's?

I believe that TRU UK sold Minimates years ago....I'm pretty sure that C3 sets were . The reason for the absence of Minimates (officially) in the EU generally is that they would now need to meet a required safety standard....I'm sure that they would but this costs money & each new Minimate would have to be tested. I believe that these safety requirements can be relaxed if the 'toy' can be re-classified as 'adult collectible' ......it's a minefield that would be difficult to negotiate a path through.

that actually makes a lot of sense, its a shame though

  12. this film was so good, seriously its my new favourite film, i couldnt stop talking about for a few days. there are a lot of really good scenes and some really clever dialogue, however i agree that the jokes were verging on too many though i found it acceptable. my only complaint is Cobie Smulders, not that shes bad in the film because she's great, i just couldnt take her seriously being a massive HIMYM fan.

  13. i hadnt realised the series had other comic characters, i had assumed they were only movie ones my apologies.

Also if anyone is interested i plan on watching the film tomorrow (though i think other members are watching today)
