As a 90’s kid who was really into Mark Bagley’s run on Spider-Man (and whose only exposure to Night Thrasher was his guest spot in the 350’s of Amazing), this custom scratches an itch that I didn’t realize I had.
that and Marvel wave 76 are hitting me right in the nostalgia

Same here.
Just checked all my local Walgreens last night (Roanoke VA) with nothing to show for it.
They all stocked up with BP and IW1 sets right away, but it looks like there aren’t too many people buying these aside from myself. I’m guessing these stores don’t want to put out new merch when they aren’t selling what they already have

I did the same as a lot of you... different vids, different pitches, several different devices and speaker options including earbuds. And as hard as I try to hear Yanni, all I can ever hear is Laurel. Even in the vids where people break it all down with eq software and separate the wavelengths...

having been one of the ones who preordered the 80’s Turtles (with multiple army builders), I honestly feel like my efforts don’t actually make a difference in showing DST that there’s demand for their product.
still, I won’t stop preordering. Besides liking to support the little guys like Luke, preordering has been my practice from the beginning, and it makes sense for various reasons - for example, that blasted Hawkins mate from the Predator line. some figures get discounted, and others become holy grail fodder. I never know how to predict it.

Having only seen the first, my main thought is Wick, his dog(s), and car. Maybe his wife? Most definitely the main villain. Possibly Willem Dafoe and/or Adrianne Palicki’s characters

That’s pretty much true. Ultimately we would probably have as many people commenting negatively if this was done as a slipcover mask.
that said, though... I also feel like it looks off. Even knowing that the comic look basically dictates a straight up tampo, my brain immediately registers that it should be a sculpted piece...

Okay, so...
Clearly this line is not focusing on the old school Genesis games. My only real exposure to this property is Sonic 1, 2, 3, and Sonic & Knuckles, so I’m a little out of my wheelhouse here.
This lineup is ‘Series 1 Box Set’. So, we can tentatively expect more characters in the theoretical second series. We’re already getting 3 versions of Sonic in this first series. Any speculation on what character selections might go from here?
as long as I get Knuckles to go along with Sonic, Tails, and Robotnic, I’ll be a happy camper

I love how that original comic Black Panther turned out, and I don’t feel that he’s really in need of a redo - however, I’m surprised with all the love he’s getting lately, that we haven’t seen a new comic version.
Aside from the ones already mentioned (Spider Woman and Ronan in particular), the characters that come to mind for me are Silver Sable, Yellow Daredevil, w6 Ghost Rider, and Kraven

I was confused based on my previous experience in retail (where the system in place prevented any inventory from going onto shelves before being scanned into the system which was directly linked to the upc). I didn’t want to ask the manager in the moment since she was clearly frazzled and I figured it wouldn’t have helped anything to probe about internal policies

That ended up being the case for me as well, except that the manager really didn’t like that option and tried everything else she could think of before going with that...

I just found these at my local TRU and had a fun half hour wait at the checkout while they tried to find the SKU in their system ?
how do they get out onto the shelves if they aren’t in the system? (legitimate curiosity for anyone who has insight on the topic)
