Conan.
I used Ska'ars hair, loin cloth, sword and boots. Kravens chest Hawkeye's arms and X3 Juggy's legs and arm bands. I think that is Sgt. Rock's head. Not sure because I used Sgt. Rock to make a WWII Nick Fury.
This is great, thanks for sharing the recipe!
The Hood
I like it!

I have one of the other ones on the way in the mail. It's a vintage version of the one Target has. I'll post pics to see how it works for scale, just as soon as I get it.

Yes congrats on getting it right
I actually had to do some research on that one! I really am a "Gramps", and the HSM stuff is actually in between my kids and my grandkids, so they didn't help much!

LOL! I love toys being used in 'toons/photo stories!

Those are very cool!

looks good! where did you find the copter set? I would love to get my hands on it even just for the computer/communications console!
Jeff of the Miniacs
Thanks! I got it a few years back. It's made by a company called New Ray, which does a lot of 1/32 stuff.

I've been playing around with the idea of doing up a Minimate version of the vintage GI JoeAdventure Team (AT). I kind of threw together a basic Air Adventurer a little while back. After scrounging through some stuff I happened across this 1/32 helicopter and thought, hey, that reminds me a little of the green version AT chopper(Capture Copter?). Anyway, after a little dremeling on the copter, the guy fit right in, so I took a few pics. Still need to print some smaller size AT stickers for it. The console and tent came from the same little set as the copter, I just used some sharpies on the console to break up the OD.

Could we see pics of your:few things for 1/32-54mm plastic soldiers, which should be pretty decent and plentiful out there
...please?
No problem! Here are a couple western theme buildings I had that I want to use with some Old West style figures in a small story at some point. If you like the scale, look for 1/32 or 54mm playsets you can find a lot of stuff of use.

Just wondering what buildings you folks might use for diorama/displays of your 'mates? I have a few things for 1/32-54mm plastic soldiers, which should be pretty decent and plentiful out there. I read something about older Imaginext? Anything else that works particularly well?

You have done some AWESOME work! I like them ALL!

Cool stuff! Great idea for the glider!

That is SO cool! I like it a lot!

Here is some of my first stuff I've been playing with. Got some Red Cross promos because I thought they would make easy SW Troopers for a novice like me. Don't know how "pure" you folks like to keep your 'mates, but when I found out that some of the Trooper wrist posts would fit just by cutting the length, I had to go with it, makes them able to hold the guns a little better. The helmets come from removable helmet Legacy series Troopers and fit perfectly on 'mate heads. Clone Wars series helmets are too small. The Beach House is actualy a bird house I found on clearance at Hobby Lobby. Just something to set scenes and have fun with!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!

Hey gramps how you doin?!
Oh and hello to the new guy too. (Ah BHM age jokes... I do love them...)
Well as you're new here (not you BHM, the guy who started this thread), I get the honor of subjecting you to the T42 MOVIE CHALLENGE!!! I quote a movie, you name the movie.
Your quote is such a famous quote I'll be surprised if you don't get it.
"After all, tomorrow is another day."
Gone with the Wind, uttered by Scarlett?

Hi all! Recently got interested in the Minimates, now they are added into my many, many toy hobbies which include lots of different action figures. Just like all the figures I'm interested in, I've started a few customizations. Hope to do a few cartoon type scenes and maybe photostories along the way, I take it that some of you are doing that? Hopefully I can glean some cool ideas from you folks that have been doing this for awhile, and in turn, every so often offer something worthwhile myself.
Has anyone done a Mole Man and Moleoids?

I saw the recipe for Mole Man, but the picture link seemed to be broken. Anyone done one they can show? Gollum/Smeagol seems like a good fit for a Moleoid with a minimum of work, yes-no-maybe?
