Looks great.
If anyone doesn't want the second Wasp head with the face mask, can I buy it from you? PM me or post here.

The red hair piece does look to be a recolored Morrigan hairpiece. The sculpt and color are wrong for it to be a X3 Jean Grey, but it matches the Morrigan sculpt. As far as whether it is Mini Myte's, well that can only be answered by whatthekkkkkk or whomever he got it from.
I got a very nice PM from the owner of the auction. It definitely is not Mini Mytes.
So now we know the origins of everything and I got a little lesson in the history of the Minimate Multiverse.
Thanks for the responses everyone.

He too is a board member. and One that i have traded here and on ebay with. So he is not of the EVIL persuasion.
Good to hear I didn't do business with crook.
But what exactly did this highassroller guy do that was so evil?
-
It's from an ebay auction with the seller name of "whatthekkkkkkkk". It says he's from Sante Fe, CA.
If it's the same piece, maybe he sold it to him?

Does anyone know which chest piece that is right underneath Valkyrie's hair?
Also what red hair piece is that in the top right corner? I don't recognize it at all.

Almost 80% of the people would buy this wave. Bring em on Art Asylum!!

I would definitely get this set. As far as repeating characters...I don't have a problem with that as long as they are in significantly important costumes and we need to see the Jim Lee era made. They weren't my favorite designs but they are arguably the X-Men's best known costumes. You can never have too many Storms or Jean Greys.
Exactly. These versions are pretty well known. I don't mind repeating characters as long as they're in different costumes. And these are 6 needed versions.
Other than Gambit and Deadpool, I'm not interested. I never did like the Jim Lee costumes: too dynamic and busy for me. GSXM all the way!And I wuld love a Banshee, but he has to come with Black Tom with variant Tree-Man Black Tom.
With that two-pack, Gambit, Jubilee, Gladiator, Eric the Red, and Lilandra I can finally mate my dream come true: The Minimate Juggernaut Bitch!!!
Nice wave. But characters like Gladiator, Eric the Red or Lilandra (possibly even Jubilee) I doubt can support an entire full release wave. I could see them in something more of an exclusive 4 pack, but even then they'd have to have more of the recognizable characters to booster them.

Would you buy these as the next X-Men related wave? These are there X-Men #1 Jim Lee inspired costumes with the exception of Deadpool of course.
1) Cyclops and Psylocke
2) Deadpool and Storm
3) Gambit and Jean Grey
Variant X-Factor Jean Grey and Gambit
I tried to pair the "brand new" minimate characters with the others who have already had minimate versions.

the spidey wave looks better in those pics and you get to see transformation venom, but no pointy shoes for Tarantula
Is that a new hairpiece on Jean or is it the old Dark Phoenix hair piece?
Love the gold paint on her gloves.
I wish I could see these without the skrull heads.

Someone who's going to SDCC tomorrow remember to take a pic of these!

From the diamon select website:
SDCC Update: Secret Invasion Minimates!
Straight out of Marvel's best-selling event comes this Previews Exclusive Secret Invasion Minimates box set! When everyone you know could be a Skrull, who do you trust?
Included in this set are four potentially Skrully heroes of yesterday: Jean Grey as Phoenix, Beast in his Avengers costume, Wolverine and his first appearance costume and the Minimate debut of Jessica Jones as Jewel! Each possibly-alien Minimate also includes an alternate Skrull face - allowing you to display each hero with just a twist of the head. As if that wasn't enough, transform your existing Minimates into Skrull saboteurs with the four bonus Skrull heads included in each set!
Available in the August issue of Previews, pre-order this and other Minimates sets with your local comic book store or visit our online store! Stay tuned for more pictures from the San Diego Comic Con floor!
Looks like we'll be getting pictures soon!

I think it'd help move product faster if these were mere acessible.
By this I mean whether it be TRU or Target I always have to search for them. They're always sitting somewhere odd, and unless you were looking for them, you'd never see them.
Maybe there would be less peg warmers if this were the case. Someone please buy those Sue/Things. lol

Thanks for the welcomes.
The easiest thing I have access to is the tacky stuff.
Does it ruin the plastic?

Hey CT.
The Lotr Minimates actually came with little 'C3'(cough lego) blocks that are great for those unstable minimates.
I totally know the domino effect the little blighters have if you just have them loose on a shelf, I've heard various methods or keeping em upright including Bluetack, and legostands for the C3 feet.
I actually display mine in cases that keep them all seperated, the cases are actually 1/64 toy car cases turned sideways and wall mounted, it's great way to get 2-300 minimates displayed but not cluttering up the place.
T.
Nice idea with the car display cases.
I think minimate stands can be a very good side product that art asylum should release.
A simple round base with an X for X-Men or an A for Avengers, with a peg for the c3 feet or an indentation for the old feet would work great.
-
My minimates keep falling over. I have a bunch of them in one of my shelves on the Ikea detolf, and everytime I open it the vibrations tend to knock one over.
And sometimes it's a disaster because it's like dominos. One goes and all of them goes.
How do you guys display yours?
Are there mini stands that are available that will fit them?
Anyone try legos for stands or acessories? I've thought about it but, not sure which pieces if any will fit the original feet or the c3 feet.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
I collect all Marvel minimates, but if I see a cool looking minimate I can't help but grab it.
I'm also trying my hand at customizing minimates.
-
Hey everyone I'm new and I love minimates!!!
-
We actually don't have a lot of pegwarmers here with the exception of the Sue and Ben 2 pack. THere's like a case here that never moves at our Target.
-
I can definitely see them using these

Ah, thanks for the clarification. The offer still stands, if someone doesn't want the slip over mask, I'd gladly buy it plus shipping thanks!
