  1. Be very careful with the extra hands. The pegs are too big for the arm holes in some. Look at the alt hand in picture of Longshot that maxcarnage posted further up. If you try to force it past that, you'll have to twist it to get it to go in but the plastic is too soft and will try to shear off. I'm going to have to get a second one because of that. And the pegs on the Colossus throw hands are just too small for the holes in Wolverine's feet. There's no "grip" to it like a minimate stand would have. Or did I just get a bad set?

You are not alone with with either issue. I trimmed down Longshot's wrist peg and am making Pete's hand peg a bit thicker with green stuff. I will make that fastball special work gosh darnit!

  2. I was on the fence with this set until I saw that Tony came with the BFG That was a nice touch and I never thought of using the flight stand to hold it!). That makes way more sense that using it to put Arthur into an awkward, lance-chucking jump pose (bit it isn't as fun). I wonder what Dante and Deadpool did to be the only figs in the set to not get any display stands. :-\

  3. I have to agree with everyone who likes that Iceman. Very nice but I am overcome with a sense of, "meh" for this set. We did just get these characters. I'm a huge X-Men fan but there are so many other characters who haven't even been mated yet. I'd love me some Secret Avengers or Guardians of the Galaxy. I'm also a bit tired of obvious 5 member teams showing up in 4 piece box sets.

Knight Rider mates sounds like fun though. Will they make Goliath & Garthe Knight? <_<

I may have to break my (mostly) only non-movie Marvel rule.

  4. I got some of this series today.

I love the Xavier. The opening compartments in the arms of his chair are an awesome nod to the 90's toy. I also love that under the suit is an X jumpsuit. Very kewl.

The new Warpath looks awesome. Thank goodness for the sheath.

The Thing looks OK but the color of the face doesn't blend too well with all the extra rocky pieces. And those pieces kill the ability to pose the figure (which was always one of the main draws for me). I guess we can look forward to that with Juggy too!

Anybody else think the Doombots should have come with a ray gun of some kind? He looks great and I'll get a few but, still, no ray-gun.

On to the Lizard. After Scorpion, I can't be the only one a little put off by his tail being a part of his coat. Beyond that he looks good though.

Six-Armed Spidey looks pretty good but the costume arms fall off easily because of the extra arm set-up. All in all I like the set, but it isn't my favorite.

Also I'm looking for a Thing Variant (with the coat) 2-pack. I have a Namor/Atlantean Soldier for trade.

  5. Oh, look what else Steve will be doing then.

    Personally I am concerned about

how the Secret Avengers reveal might affect Nova's series

    .

You should probably be more concerned with what Loeb will do to Nove once he takes on the writing duties. ;)

As for Cap, I'm sure things will revert to Bucky/Winter Soldier being the spy and Steve being the hero but I'm sure thay'll wait for people to get tired of Brubaker first.

  6. The problem with the legs is kind of universal to the brand so there is nothing that can really be done about that and as far as Wave 4 Bullseye goes there is likely nothing to be done about that because it was so long ago if an when they can help out it is usually only for newer stuff.

I figured. The problem with the Bullseye is that the plastic for his legs are discolored and have a lot of residue from teh molding process. It's just annoying bc all my other Mates stand properly, for the most part. But now some of the guys from that set I have to have their legs wide open for them to stand =(. Given, I bought it only for the Dr. Doom, but he is one of the ones whose leg is almost half an inch longer =(. Well, I still have a few coming in the mail from ebay and TRU.com to look forward to.

Minimates are only 2 inches tall. 1/2 an inch would add a hell of a lot of height to one leg. I mean, a LOT.

    Just sayin.

    Almost 25% more!

  7. I'm missing most of the variants (Invisible Invisible Woman, Un-Masked Doom/Daredevil, DOFP Wolvie, Blue Warren Angel). I'm also missing the "I got nothing to do with Super-heroing" types like the half Peter Parker/Spidey thing, Mary Jane, Peter Parker & Mariko. The rest are exclusives I didn't get to soon enough or things I thought I'd be able to get on the cheap but vanished before I could grab them ( Leader/Hulk & Thor/Loki).

  8. Yes, we are quite glad to have you on. I really am because I get to adminster another T42 MOVIE CHALLENGE!!!

That's right! I quote a movie, you name the movie I quoted!

    Your quote:

    "Tell them... I'll be back!"

    Terminator: Salvation.

That works. After all, he never did answer. Yeah. It's Terminator: Salvation. Which is not AS bad as everyone says it was...

    Sorry, didn't see it yet.
