Very nice work, Jeff! I'm a huge AoA fan & i think your customs really do the AoA justice. Especially that Angel.

It was my favorite storyline from the 90's and since I'm such a fan of 'what if' it was nice to see the entire story get carried over into all the X-books- not just one stand alone issue. Joe Mad's art really nailed it for me. I only wish he would have done more issues.

Gambit and Jubilee are up next followed by Colossus. Dazzler is in the works too. Any other AOA suggestions? I'm going to need a bigger display case. :biggrin:

I know. They dusted our office at work so I had to condense everything in my cabinets. It's coming....

In case anyone is looking for a Nightcrawler (from the Betsy Braddock pack) I have an extra for trade... I'm post #58 in the want/haves if you want to PM me.

I based it on the Humberto Ramos art- huge eyes, wings, and cape. Moded two Thor helmets together. Didn't want to add the studs to his chest as it was the first spidey mate I bought. Nothing is glued on.

Last I heard from dst, fantastic four was the next group to get more figs. And ff has a lot to choose from. Like the other heralds that weren't in the box set.

Yea Spider-Hulk! He's the one variant Diamond should make, now that we have the bulky Hulk body. And they should use your customs as a guide.

I wasn't sure how to handle the head until I spotted the spidey/goblin two pack on my desk- just slid the Spidey mask over Hulks head and made a decal for the mouth. It was messy to put together with the curved pieces on the minimate and the flat paper, but I found the more I played with it, the more tattered and ripped it became.

Plus it was nice that my TRU actually had Hulks to spare. Lately though....

LOVE your AoA Angel. I was trying to decide how to make him as i didn't think he'd translate well to a Minimate - but you've nailed it and made it look so simple. A+

Thanks- I'm really happy with how this one turned out. Wasn't going to do it originally because of all the white (and not sure how to tackle the jacket- thanks to pal Mark for offering a soultion)- but I've always liked Angel- especially the minimate version. It was a little tricky. I had to cut off the neck collar on Angel leaving an 'L' connection for his wing piece(against his back and on top of his waist). I also had to trim the jacket below the 2nd buckle to make it more of a bolreo style. It came from this Battlestar figure below. Then, I had to completely remove the back on the jacket in order to slip it over the wing piece. I sanded over the thin blue strip on Angel between his torso and legs then painted that and the jacket white. It took about 5 coats to get it looking just right. It really pops with the rest of the AOA gang. I'll post a group shot next week.

Now that I have your attention, just wondering if anyone else travels around town with a minimate in their pocket. I never know when I might come across some accessories/furniture or otherwise that might be compatible with them but I'm not sure just how compatible until I physically compare the two.

I usually go to the doll house aisle of Hobby-Lobby and find some great pieces, but have also found some in the jewelry/trinket aisles.
