  1. Although I am disgruntled with the amount of Daredevil and Thor supporting characters/villains we have ( I don't count movie versions, though I would be tempted to if that Destroyer wasn't so "dainty"), as well as Sub-Mariner friends and foes... there is one character whose title, supporting cast, villains and entire corner of mythos is incredibly under-represented.

    Doctor Strange.

We have two versions of the title character and one version of his main arch-enemy, Dormammu.

What about Wong, Clea, the Ancient One, Baron Mordo, Umar, the Mindless Ones and Eternity* at the very least?

A couple of different versions of him would be a nice addition as well: 1st appearance version w/blue cape instead of Cloak of Levitation, translucent "astral body" version and his blue costumed, full-face-masked version.

Magic (and thus the biggest "magic" super hero of the Marvel Universe) is severely lacking in representation.

*It could be argued that the inclusion of Eternity leads to more cosmic characters, of which we have a few... however, Eternity first appeared in a Doctor Strange comic book (Strange Tales #134 referenced, #138 seen). Thus, I'll always consider him "Doc Strange supporting cast" first with "Cosmic Character" a very close second.

I've always wanted a Baron Mordo Minimate.

  2. Angela is an angel from the Spawn universe who was recently bought by Marvel and traveled over to the 616 due to the fractures created at the end of AOU, she is now hanging with the Guardians of the Galaxy (though not really buds yet)

i gotta say, I REALLY REALLY REALLY did not want an Age of Ultron set

and now....I WANT THIS SO BADLY!

that Ultron alone sells the set to me, but Fury and Angela are awesome bonuses and I gotta say, the Tony looks pretty darn awesome as well biggrin.png

EDIT: Hey Zach, I know the control art doesnt show it but do you think Ultron will have a tampo on his chest block so you can display him without the extra arms?

and one more question, will Ultron have a sculpted face like the original mate or is the prototype what he will look like?

    Ah, thanks!

  3. They better not pull a fucking "Mandarin" with Ultron. dry.png

Agreed, but I don't think Whedon would do that.

I hope Hawkeye has a much bigger role in this film than he did in the original. As much as I loved The Avengers, I was (and still am) pissed off by how tiny Hawkeye's role was.

I'm a tad disappointed that Ultron will be the villain this time, and not Thanos. Don't get me wrong, Ultron is a great villain, but I'd have preferred to see him in a future installment. The mid-credits scene in The Avengers made me super stoked to see Thanos.

  4. If anything, what DST has done with Minimates shows that a company can have the Marvel license and continue to make toys the same way and still keep fans happy for more than ten years.

    Exact-a-mundo! smile.png

Hasbro tries to manufacture scarcity or increased demand by doing things like running changes in lines and having such shitty distribution, that its almost impossible for fans to complete their collections without a lot of work. DST, on the other hand, has followed the same marketing plan and distribution practice for Minimates for 10 years, with the exception of intentionally making it easier for fans to get chase figures by offering custom cases to some retailers.

Sure, the TRU exclusives cause some headaches, but in the long run even they are easier to collect than most Hasbro figures.

On a semi-related note, Henry Winkler spoke at my workplace a few months ago. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it.

  5. Mini-Myte, that Mr. Fixit pic is awesome! Can't wait to get mine.

Can anybody who reads current comics give some backstory on Barbarian Hulk and Composite Hulk?

Green and Red Hulk were fused into Composite Hulk (alternately known as Compound Hulk) by the Impossible Man, according to the box that the Marvel Universe figure comes in.

  6. what dare devil characters do have? and i don't mean different DD costumes. like there's DD, and then... Elektra, Bullseye, King Pin... is that all?

White Tiger, Hand Ninja(s)...that's about it, I think.

Also White Tiger, Hand Ninja(s)...that's about it, I think.

    Are quotes broken or something?

    Or I goofed up.

On the list of DD villains we have I personally count stiltman even though he came in an iron man wave. I agree we could use some more though - mind you he is still beating thor at the moment who seems to have precisely two in comic form: loki (admittedly several versions) and stone men! Although destroyer looks comic accurate enough to display with them too. I keep hoping maybe there will be some tenuous link to make enchantress the female villain of this wave, but I can't quite see it.

    Don't forget Absorbing Man.
